i have been going to knoebels for ten years, since i was four, and just this year i thought i would go on the carousel, not expecting to find that you do more than just ride it! it was easily the most fun ive had at knoebels! and i got the brass ring the fifth time i rode it :)
So, I work at the mgr (carousel..) and unlike many, I don't freak out when people steal the rings (though it is annoying when you start the day with 2 full buckets and end with a half a bucket)..but I'm wondering..
What do you all do with them? We put them on our keychains, but we work there, so they mean something to us.......
I have one on my keychain too cause I like to keep it with me everywhere I go. I've had it for 10+ years now. It's just really special to me cause I love knoebels, and this carousel in particular, so much. I wouldn't take them just for the hell of it though.. I only have one. :]
Another nieve idiot that has no idea what they are talking about. The "10 cent" rings you are talking about are original rings from 80 years ago when the Carousel Brass Ring Game was a real game and people respected the rings. So ruderock333 the rings that are no big deal to you are disappearing thanks to your poor additude "it's no big deal". You steal then, take them home and throw them away. That's one less rare ring left for people who actually appriciate the rings. Thanks idiot.
I went to this park for years as a child and even when very short, I rarely missed a ring. I never, however, considered stealing one. You're sitting on an antique hand-carved wooden horse at a free-admission amusement park that once refused government assistance after a flood that could have put them under for good. I appreciated that such a place and ride even existed, even as a child. I was no angel as a kid, but I recognized Knoebels and its Carousel for what they are, national treasures.
who the fuck are you... the youtube moral police? this person doesnt have to answer to you. I never took a ring, but plenty of my friends in high school took one to put on their key chain. Its a metal fuckin ring... they cost merely cents to make. think about it.... its the size of a link in a chain... theres no world wide brass shortage or anything. stop posting things, you sound like an ass "So you're saying if you were taller, you'd be more likely to steal the rings." thats just ridiculous.
That's why they don't have the brass ring anymore. Because people would steal it and it cost too much to keep making more. I recall seeing hundreds of rings at the bottom of the water in the log flume ride. People were throwing them in there. Finally they cleaned them up, which left a rusty ring where ever one had been in the water. It's ridiculous. Kids today simply have no respect. Stealing, damaging things, leaving graffiti and thinking nothing of it.
thanks for the address, and just so you all know...i only kept them because it was "the cool thing to do" at the time. Ya'all ever hear of being a kid? Ya well, thats what I was doing. and I'm talking when I was like 14-17.
When I get home for Thanksgiving I will round them up and ship them out.
you dont have to apologize to these assholes... you didnt kill anyone, or rob a bank.. you did what all teenagers do when they go to Knoebels. the ammount you took is excessive, and i applaud you for returning them... but don't apologize to these internet nazi's... I'd be willing to bet most of them have done much worse in their life than taking a brass ring from a ride that basically taunts you with them.
So not only do you steal, you associate with others who steal and think it's ok to do so. You have a lot to learn for a college girl. I'd expect more out of a junior in college.
I'll bet Josh Groban wouldn't even think of walking away with the Knoebels rings. I'd suggest the next time you go to the park, take those rings back with you and return them. That is the only honorable thing to do at this point.
its nothing like that. what a horrible analogy. if you are going to try to prove a point by using a comparision... make sure there is some sort of correlation between the two things you are comparing. twat
Thanks, thief. When my kids are old enough to play the ring game it may end up just be another merry-go-round without rings. People stealing the rings is one of the reasons these Carousels are extremely rare. So when they run out of rings they can come to your house and ask for them back so they can continue the ring game?
ive been on a faster one check it out on my channel!

respect, lol

Maybe you should google the word "respect" and read the definition of what it means. I believe you have no idea what respect is.

respect???
bullpuky 3 years ago
dude fuck u i keep mine and actualy resect them not throw them away
rudyrocks333 3 years ago
You're basically saying you respect the items you steal. So if I steal something from you, as long as I "respect" it, then it's ok. right?
bullpuky 3 years ago
dude light up on the ring stealers, their only worth ten fucking cents. its no fucking big deal

They got one like this in Santa Cruz except you throw it into a clown's mouth. VERY FUCKING CREEPY. That's why I'm scared of carousels

ok, first of all half of them were given to me, and i've been away at college for the past 3 years and i haven't even been there since 2004.

So you admit to stealing 15 rings, but since it was over 3 years ago that makes it ok.

i must have 30 of those rings.. I save mine... Ive been going to knobels since i was like 3 years old and i am now 23..
hevanoski 4 years ago
Oh great, it's people like you, who will make them stop letting people grab rings. You should return them. You do know that is stealing don't you?
TreeHu99er 4 years ago
You are not suppose to steal the rings. That is like using a public rest room and ripping off the rolls of spare toilet paper.... Do you do that too?
