I don't remember the closing theme being this long and I don't remember seeing those adverts for Travelodge and Australian Airlines at the end of the credits.
@AlbieGray I remember reading in soap magazine, Inside Soap, that Prisoner's Elspeth aka Meg was in Neighbours as Cathy Alessi. I remember the publicity photo of Elspeth smiling back at us. Hehe.
this is my favorite neighbours closing credits and the best I remember this so well I Loved watching neighbours back in 1995 I was a big fan this end theme is so beautiful and Greg Hind did a great Job in this theme I Love his Voice in the 1993 closing credits of neighbours he is an awesome singer I think that this Neighbours theme ran until 1992 to1998
The original Neighbours theme by barry crocker from 1985 to 1992 was best years of Neighbours...Sad and shit when Good old Jim Robinson was killed off
This change to the theme tune was the biggest overhaul the soap had had up until that point and it's easy to forget the impact it had on regular viewers at the time.
Nowadays they seem to change the theme tune arrangement, graphics and vocals about fourteen times a year!
i remember back in 1995 when these credits were on in nz i loved it but got pissed off everynight because 2 seconds into the music the bloody annoying voiceovers ruined it!
Seeing these credits now, compared to the new ones, it's as if they are from an alternate reality. I love these credits: it was back not only when Neighbours was good, but when it was watchable also. All Australian and British soap operas stopped being entertaining after 2000.
well put. i was wondering what went wrong and started thinking it was all just about nostalgia on its own but it's more than that. The quality's no longer there anymore.
I remember these were the credits to Ep 1904, Jim Robinson's death. Watching this episode rought back many memories for me cos just before the character of Jim Robinson was killed off my father also died of a massive heart attack and I can sympathise with the emotions of Julie Martin who was devastated.
Yeah. This rules. Greg Hind is an aswome singer. The 1993 creadits of Neighbours always sent shivers done my spine when I was a little girl. I was 5 when this was out.

Hard to believe that Elspeth Ballantyne (Cathy Alessi) is so familiar with all of us as Meg Jackson-Morris from Prisoner. :)

In my opinion, this version was a lot better than the Barry Crocker one.

Indeed.

Agreed. Too many affairs, too many cast changes, too many disasters. Not enough 'normal' family issues and reality.
