@thomasharman14 most fingerstyle guitarists do, its easier than a pick or thumb attached picks that could fumble around out of your hand during play, finger nails are more reliable ,

Actually it's because nails give a fuller sound to the tune. Finger picks don't fall off during play even if you strum aggressively. It's just that finger picks tend to add an odd vibe to the sound sometimes and most of the time, the pick ups won't cover it.

Whether or not you can Tune your guitar to a low "A" is entirely dependant on the guitar. String tension (neck scale length, & string thickness) is the key. A baritone guitar is basically a longer neck with thicker strings.

the powertab for this songs thats all over the net says "(low to high) A - E - E - F# - B - E", so that means the official tuning for this is to tune the lower E string UP. people who say tune it down instead of up because they are afraid the strings will snap?

I would say the lower E is tuned down if you listen the first notes of this song. And strings should be a little different from standards cause A is too low for normal E-string
