  • Dude you need to get laid

  • @jacquesvidds I'm married! I get laid all the time!

  • Cool track, cool machine.

  • Is it coming with the ESX manual for the hands movements?

  • nice tune for the first 23 seconds

  • Can you program your own recorded drums sounds into the ESX and make a beat? Like if I record the sounds from my drumkit as a wav file, can I import them into the ESX and make beats that way?

  • @alexanderj1986 you should be able to, I saw a guy upload abunch of samples at once then push the slice button and it seperated all the seperate drum samples in the wave for him it was awesome.

  • dude you should dress up as a hand and dance around while you dj. greatest show ever

  • I like your hand moving to

    thank you for the show

  • umm no...extremely lame vid

  • hands suck !

  • your hands suck !!

  • @2010Sonik2010 You can step to me when your videos consist more than just a visual and your name on the screen. Step Your Game Up Bro!

  • this freaky hand bullshit is gettin on my nerves !!!!!! I had to move the page down in order to hear it to keep from seeing this !!!

  • stop it with the weird hand movements! its weirder than seeing aphex twins evil smile!

  • @HelloNewYorkCity lol good 1

  • Nice, for some reason I cant sample, there is a step that says "sample name" that I can never get to. Do I need to have the samples on the media card?

  • I have an EMX-1, would it be worth getting an ESX-1?

  • SICK !!!!

  • why did you do those things with your hands ...

  • What is the difference between the ESX-1 and the EMX-1?

  • wow at last ive found someone whos done something interesting with this machine and the hand movements just make it even better 5*

  • DAMNNNNNNNN!! Its about fucken time, youre the first youtube synth user that did something else than acting like somekind of bored robot touching buttons and stuff. Thanks thanks for posting this, should be an example for others.

  • I rated 5 stars because awesome hand movements.

  • howd u get that bass sound what effects did u use etc? at 00:30

  • is the emx better than the esx? both sound cool

  • You can use complete Samples but no Synthesizers with the ESX

With the EMX, you only can use the Synthesizer, and no Samples.

It depends on you, which one you can handle better.

For example: I've got the red one, because i'm not so good in creating Synthesizer Parts with the Korg.

  • And whats the difference of the esx from MX1 electribe? I have read the specs but didnt understand much :) anyone knows?

Cant you do the same things on both?Just wondering which one to get. Iam into, electro, house, progressive type of music.

  • the EMX-1 is a Groovebox with Synth sounds where as the ESX-1 uses sampled sounds. the EMX does not have a sampler built in and the ESX-1 has no sythisizers ...buy both =)

  • the esx-1 does have synths, that's what he's showing you in this clip

  • @mysterymediacorp NOPE SORRY FRIEND those are all factory samples run through effects and limited sequencing. The emx GENERATES synths and can be programmed as such.

  • whats the cost of that thing?

  • @Miltos2304

    555 euro´s

  • nice set up.. i have the same equipment as you hahah.. i can see that hot ass rm-1x chilling there beside ur ESX lol

  • Nice job dude.

  • Whats the diff between the esx and the er1?

  • pretty sick song i must say

  • how do you like your esx-1 compared to the rmx1?

  • The RM1X has a better sequencer, but it's not a sampler. The Korg ESX is a sampler.

  • dude whats the difference between the two?

  • The ESX lets you make music from wave files. The RM1X has sounds already in it.

  • does the ESX also have sounds in it already???

  • 196 of then already onboard

  • narly hands, i like the beat at 0.48, thats tough haha. drugs came first

  • tune

  • Hey. It is true that I'm not the only one who "imitates" the music with his hands. ^^

  • Did people first do drugs then go i need this type of music or did this music come out and people were like ... maybe drugs will make it better...ripped from some one else.

  • Some Electronic music is good. You don't need drugs to think that.

  • that's correct. Usually I'm more into metal but I like electronic Music. And I don't abuse drugs :)

  • electronic music IS my drug ; )

  • Drugs came first.

  • @dude12nothin yeah this is just a demo to show off his synth, dont need drugs to enjoy this music, just need to be open minded

  • @dude12nothin you're channeling henry rollins here

  • @patto2k ahh that where I got it from... thanks

  • he can do what he wants

  • lol

  • weird HANDling

  • Hey, is it possible to use the keyboard, streach, slice part to sequence external synths? so basically use it as a sequencer for external gear just like the emx can.

  • I believe there was 5 midi parts. The 9 drum parts make 1 midi track and the 4 other parts make up the other midi channels.

  • Comment removed

  • I was wondering why you prefer the roland mc-808 over the korg esx. Does the roland handle midi from the rm1x better? If so, do you know if any of the E-mu romplers(extreme lead, planet earth, etc.) handle midi anywhere near as well?

  • The 808 gives you more parts to mess with. midi signals are easier to control with the korg. I've never used an e-mu rompler. If I could get a new piece of gear it would be a Yamaha Motif Rack.

  • Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • how do you turn off quantize?

  • you cannot, you can just UP the swing to make the beat looser......do you understand what i mean?

  • yeah i get it, thanks man it's a shame but still such a great machine

  • Whats Better, EMX or ESX ?

  • I'd take the ES-X. I love to sample. Make sure it comes with a manual and read it.

  • esx by far, sampling comes in handy. and its basically the emx plus more shit, and the emx doesnt have stereo in I dont think

  • hands? ads? xtc? xD nice song btw

  • No drugs. I just like to move my hands.

  • song is nice my son but those hands....gay!

but u have talent. nice work

  • onicom chlapce

  • yes please! send me pm link

  • super awesome stuff! don't know about ~1:40 - end, however.

  • dude is throwing some shapes! loving it

  • lol you are a freak

  • Who wants to be bored watching a video of just pushing buttons? Give me some DJ HAND SKILLS!! Yayyyyyyy!

  • its necessary to move the hands like that to do that nice job? xD PEACE!

  • FEELING THAT , the hands thing is ok ..cause u have made a unltra cool beat .Hoping 2 get one myself soon ..u showed me what u can do with this baby ..think i will throw shapes with my hands 2 :P

  • What's with the hands man?

  • I like to move them.

  • This good for beginners?

  • Yes. The EMX is good too. If you read the manual and ask people for help you'll be an expert in no time.

  • i have a question, does the ESX have an internal sound source of any type? or you are in the need of just been able of using external samples you have already recorded? can you record directly and use the sequencer? i mean, can you just attach your own synth (microsynth) to this and start playing beats and stuff and sequence it straight away? or you need to prerecord the beats and then pass it to the ESX?

    thanks...excuse my english...

  • I sold my ESX a while back so I can't do any tutorials.

  • Can you import samples from your PC to this, so when playing live you can use samples from your PC?

    PLEASE HELP!

  • You can load .wav & .aif files from a smart media card. you'll need a smart media card & a SM card reader for your computer.

  • yea the hand lquid pre 2000 dance crap has got to go....sry no lquid here....this is just some slow breaks......nice on the esx though....but again the hands bro....there is no ball in your hand...

  • distinctive sound matey, kinda funny too, unwittingly.

  • can u plz do a tutorial how to stard im anub plz thx bro

  • I have a real short history of music learning and i have worked a bit with MIDI pads, i wanted to know, would you recommend the ESX-1 as a good beginners tool?

    Much thanks!

  • The ESX does not have velocity sensitive pads. It's more for the programmer. You could get a cheaper Boss, Alesis, or Zoom if you just want drums. If you want a sampler I'd get the ESX, SP-404, or a mpc500. Watch all the videos and try them out at your local music store if possible.

  • I'm looking for a sampler. the ESX is pretty much the only one that really has impressed so far.

Whats the difference between the EMX and the ESX ?

  • the esx is a sampler, the emx has 5 part synth and you can t put your own sample in. but this is a good groovebox too.

  • would be a good vid without these handmovments

  • @FoxyGrandpaII lol I looked at your comment and thought what the hel..... but looked up and he wuz givin it loads !!!!

  • christian hip hop....it's proper to say...OH GOD.

  • There's alot of Christian tracks that use the "Oh My God" sample. I don't use that sample, and I don't think I ever will. I'm not saying it's bad or it's using God's name in vain, I'm just saying the sample doesn't feel right to me for my Holy Hip Hop Tracks. I'm more conservative than some others I guess. I don't judge others, I let God judge. I follow His direction and take heed to what I feel convicted to do. The Holy Spirit is very powerful.

  • I can't say what's your kind of music.......it' like electric d'n B ......boh???? Do you like more RM1x than Electribe? I've a Yamaha....I'm learning to use it......... excuse me English.. yo!

  • I love the RM1X to sequence/program. I like creating. I don't like performing. For Sounds I'm now using a Roland Fantom XR, and JP-8080. I want to get a Yamaha Motif Rack, Nord Lead Rack, Moog Little Phatty or Sherman Filterbank. I'm into Christian Hip Hop & DNB.

  • cant stop listening to this track.

    thumbs up!

  • strange person strange music

  • Thanks, I think...

  • lol i like the hand gestures. hey, i just got this friggin' thing and i can't figure out how to place the samples in a pattern! the manual is confusing. you should make a video, creating a pattern from the beginning. :(

  • I sold my ESX, got an MC-808, sold the 808, and now I have a Yamaha ES6. Try to read the manual again and highlight useful parts.

  • I agree- great machine- the manual sucks ass. Could have been created better for beginers like myself.

  • ridicolous!

  • Ridiculously Cool!!!! hahaha.

  • do yourself a favor and never waive your hands around like that again.

  • No.

  • As do I. Cool vid but hand gestures must go. Not cool.

  • hahaha, i totally agree

  • hey, just a quick confirmation before i go out and buy one please...

you can sample onto the drum part pads right?

so like you can sample your own drum instruments etc. to put together and make a beat out of...

  • You get 9 oneshots, 2 synth parts, and 2 longer loop parts. You drum with the little pads up top. The pads below are for the synth parts and to sequence.

  • thanks mate... esx it is =]

  • Please explain this to me.

at around 1.32 you start using the keyboard like a synth... how did you get those sounds on the buttons? did you sample each note individually or what? pleaase explain would help loads.

  • It's just one sample that automatically becomes a synth along the keys. You have 2 synth parts, 9 drum parts, 2 loop parts, and 1 slice part for each pattern. I sold my ES-X, but I hope to get a Roland MC-808. Anyone know if they're better than the Korg ES-X?

  • with the motorised faders? fuckin sikk thing.. D-beams =]]

my choice would be ESX... but look at the demo vids for the 808 on the roland us page

  • I just purchased a MC-808. I was thinkin maybe MPC for 32 tracks, but nah. I know I'll love the 808. Except the d-beam, I hate that thing. I wish they'd used a couple of FX knobs instead. Oh well. The ES-X, MPC, & 808 are all cool. I'll get TONS of hi-fi samples, built in sounds, only 16 tracks, but 128 voice polyphony. WOW! I'm waiting patiently by the work mailbox.

  • huuuuge polyphony =/ lol yeah i see what you mean about the beams. quite fun, but at the end of the day impractical. still tho.... mnotorized faders =DDD

  • nice hands!!!

  • Proper phunky dude, liking it!

  • this is not very skilled, does not sound nice but hey, keep going on !

  • This was when I first got my ESX. Watch my other videos too.

  • josh, the other 2 esx vids arent nice too :(

maybe its just not my taste, i dont want to be a hater, im just unhappy with that...

  • Well, maybe someday I'll create something you like. Stay Blessed.

  • I primarily use youtube in search for inspiration from people like you. Your mixes are hot but your clips using the samplers & sequencers are fantastic. You got excellent roots and you show how fear isn't an obstacle; meaning, you're creative continuously. And Vectorixx my friend, if you don't like it, you probably don't understand it, so put more thoughts into your comments next time. I find it to be more rewarding :)

  • just use midi

  • I'd stick with software. If you're going to perform tho, gear looks cooler.

  • I'm looking into getting into this kind of stuff. Would you recommend the esx-1?

  • The ESX-1 is great. Try and find one for $300 or less on ebay. Well worth it.

  • what do you think about the emx-1?

what kind of samples can the sx take?

  • wav & aiff. I stick with mono 16bit 44KHz You get 285 seconds total and 256 samples. It's cool, but I like Sony Acid Software on the computer better.

  • yeah, i was just thinking about gettin the mx and using software for samples.

  • I'm selling my esx on ebay right now look up: korg electribe esx-1 sampler synth beat machine

  • eh, ive decided to get the mx dude, i wish i had enough money to buy them both...

  • It's got a little Fatboy Slim Vibe at the beginning.

  • haha, love the dancing! Nice going dude

  • Thanks John! I like your videos too!

  • Nice Gear son.
