@unomnacajit11 Actually this dance is Bukovynian and its from Ukrainian Bukovyna thats why it has similar clothing to Romanian Bukovyna. Bukovyna is from western Ukraine so there is no way there is any russian influence in this dance. This is a strictly Ukrainian based ensemble from Edmonton.
The costume is more Hutsul based (southern - obviously) - Bukovynian Hutsushchyna rather than Romanian Bukovyna.
The steps are a mishmash of Hutsul, Bukovynian and Kozachok and not Romainian. Red boots in Bukovyna were only worn during a very important events (wedding, etc...) and even then it was not very common. Bukovynians wore "postoly" or black boots when they could be afforded. But, that depends on how far back you go in history.
Hmmm, it's a Ukrainian dance group... Could it be that they're mixing ethnic dances together? It's a group based in Edmonton, Canada.

This is due to the fact that Ukraine is the largest influence of Russia. Why do you think they keep trying to over-take Ukraine?
