@immaculatus I'm not quite sure you'd watch a demonstration video of such an advanced instrument and them comment this way. Many people actually enjoy themselves. I'd advise you to try and do the same. If you personally don't have the money, talent or either to enjoy this hobby, perhaps you can try paper airplane building. For those that know, this instrument is one of the best out there and worth the money.
yamaha Lighting guide system in CVP-serie is great. hope it been buildt in low price instrument too.
I really missing the great lighting key in new casio piano. someday i need to buy a new. so hope casio made a new privia PL40R or celviano AL100R or AL150R.

You are an amazing pianist Peter. Yes, I have one of the Cvp- 509 series and I agree with one of the comments bellow. It is worth every penny. I wish I had one of these growing up. I am a classically trained pianist. But really not good at improvising. For kids who are not afraid trying and playing around it is a great tool to learn improvisation and really opens their musical mind.
I am a big fan of Yamaha clavonova. Thank you for the video.
Got mine a week ago....And It is well....INCREDIBLE. As a recording artist it allows me to record my own songs in my own time. Although this range is discontinued, Idont think you can really say that the 5 series is all that better. The CVP409 is still considered an industry standard,
so great.. but this kind of things a long time ago stopped being a musical instrument for being a machine, peter is a good pianist, but looks like a DJ too playing this

I don't know about nowdays but back in 2000 when I was doing a research to buy a clavinova, yamahas sounded good but not as good as a Technics clavinova. @MaCarmenCarmelita Yeah the 400series were discontinued. The 500 line is the "bigger and better" line. There are a lot of differences mostly just improvements. Bigger amplifiers. things like this. Im sure you can google for the spc sheets for both and compare. I don't know everything off the top of my head. I do know it was expensive but plays better than most acoustic grands I've played. The graded hammer action is incredibly fast and smooth. Great synthetic ivory feel for friction.
@paranormaalutrecht The sounds in this model are much better than those that you would find in a cheap keyboard. The Piano sound might be similar, but it's still better. The many other sounds are of a much higher quality also.
Hi everyone, i've just bought the CVP-403 at a Yamaha piano fair in Singapore. Cost was about S$3599 including free headphones, bench and additional 1 year warranty. Btw, S$1 is about 2.5 to 3 GBP or US$1.5 to 1.8 Is this a good price?? :-)
I've played on it for about a 1/2 an hour at a shop in London and I was simply amazed by the quality of piano sound in particular and also other sounds like strings are just great. I own a Korg PA1x and I thought it has the best piano and strings, but this one I think is far better.
