@bscutajar foul or not i think it helped Dave stop the initial power surge. the question u should ask yourself is how much further would Travis have taken Dave's arm down if Dave hadn't raised his elbow.? It would have been a little extra even a tenth of an inch but probably a lot more and who knows where the match could have gone from there.

Denis has been relying on his strength to carry him from match to match, if he ever focuses on technique he will be #1, and another thing, had the Brzenk/Cyplenkov match been LEFT-hand, Brzenk would've gotten put down like a child, Denis could still come back at another match and dominate Brzenk,but DAVE has one thing in his favor, his height and arm length, tall people are favorable in arm wrestling, but still, even if Denis'es technique improves only a little, he will be hard to beat

As a matter of fact, they did go left handed as well. Denis won, yes he put down John quickly. I can't remmeber much I think Denis just went gently and won in a second. I read online that Denis is going to the Arnold Pull which is in February/March. I also read that his trainer said he needed 3-4 more months of training to beat Brzenk. 3-4 months brings us to the Arnold Pull! I would still put money n Brzen over Denis then though.

Yes he is left handed and is ranked #1 in the world with his left arm. However, he is ranked 5th in the world with his right arm so to say his right arm is nothing is kind of retarded, to put it mildly.

I agree it would be interesting, but Cyplenkov is even too much of a man for even Randall!! Cyplenkov outweighs him by at least 20 pounds.....Cyplenkov has massive hands that engulf anybody else's hands. Randall overpowered Bagent, but Randall can never overpower a man like Cyplenkov. It would be an interesting 10 - 20 seconds! LOL!!

John Brzenk toprolled Denis and won easily. Dave used to be a toproller. At the AAA Nationals last year he went toe to toe with Tim Bresnan in a toproll (they were even and then slipped after a few seconds). Tim was nearly able to toproll Denis. Within the last year, Dave has crushed Ron Bath, Todd Hutchings, and Tim Bresnan with his shoulder roll - none of them lasted more than 1 second. Brzenk also beat Denis in a hook so I doubt Denis could stop Randall's shoulder roll.

Nope I am talking about Denis CYplenkov, the 312 lbs (142 kg) beast with 23.6" arms and 19.something forearms. You did see Brzenk beat him, right, twice, once with hook and once with toproll? And Tim Bresnan flopped Denis's wrist back once. So Randall could probably beat Denis, it'd be a good match, though. Denis isn't unstoppable... he is ranked 6th in the world with his right arm and 2nd with his left.

well, the only match i saw btween bresnan and denis.....bresnan lost to denis. I did see the matches between Denis and Brzenk.....I'm left handed, so I mainly focus on left handed matches. I already said Brzenks days of beating Cyplenkov are numbered. Denis crushed everybody with left without any problem. He crushed almost everyone with right! The only reason he didn't beat Brzenk(right) is he still knows very little about armwrestling. That will change soon. Where was Bagent?

Bresnan got Denis's wrist flopped back in their first match but simply could not get his arm down. Look up Travis Bagent vs. Tim Bresnan on here. If Tim can even put up a fight against Denis (which he did) then Bagent would take him out for sure. Now this is right handed, I am sure Travis could take him lefty as well UNLESS Denis's left wrist is far stronger than his right. And, Denis has been armwrestling off and on for 9 years and has a coach, he knows more than people give him credit for.

You've lost me completely. There is a new video somebody posted on YouTube recently. It is of Denis' LEFT HANDED domination of EVERYBODY.....of course Bagent is nowhere to be seen....anywhere! One this clip they also show Brzenk and Bresnan. Denis beat Bresnan EASILY! The only person Denis did not beat was Brzenk....right handed. You should check this one out....finally somebody posted it. Cyplenkov is the next legend in armwrestling....sorry!

Sorry, I have seen Brzenk beta him both times like 6-7 times, and saw him and Bresnan, both matches, him against Taras, I saw every single match Denis has been in in the last year. Multiple times. LOL Not a prayer? Did you see Brzenk beat Denis? The first match he dumped Denis's wrist easily. Tim Bresnan dumped Denis's wrist. Say what you will about John's toproll vs. Travis's toproll, but if Tim Bresnan can dump Denis's wrist, Bagent can for sure and without his wrist Bagent will take Cyplenkov to the pad. On the Northeastboard John Brzenk said Denis was a lot weaker than he expected. He hooked in the second match to make it closer. Bagent > Denis right and left (for the time being)

imo although Liliev's ranked #4 right now he's actually #1. It's right for him to be ranked 4th until he beats Pushkar, Brzenk, or Larratt, but I think he'd beat them all. 187 at Worlds? That's no challenge for him, and that's scary because nobody should walk through Worlds. Left handed the competition should be good for him though.

I don't think Bagent can beat Cyplenkov.....at all in any kind of way. I've read a few blog posts where people are asking what happened to Bagent in this last Nemiroff. He didn't show up. Why not? Was he afraid to meet Cyplekov? Do you know what happened?

Yeah, usually the people who put on Nemiroff pay Bagent just to show up. This year they refused to after what happened in the Bagent vs. Larratt match (Bagent was pretty much a dick). Maybe Bagent was afraid, the thought has crossed my mind. Then again, he didn't go cower in the corner when Alexey Voevoda and John Brzenk were both there. Judging by how easily Brzenk toprolled Denis I am sure Bagent could toproll his right arm at least. Bagent is one of the best toprollers ever.

And at Zloty 2005 in the overall final, Bagent didn't even go fast against Andrey Antonov, he just let Andrey go and started at him and then put him down easily. At the ROTN this year he went against Michael Todd and did not hit, Michael caught him and put his shoulder behind his arma nd Bagent easily went through it. Michael Todd was ranked 10th in the world until just this week, 11th now, so.

Michael Todd said he could maybe beat Bagent in a 100 round supermatch, through endurance. At ROTN in best of 5 Bagent was completely dominate over him. Bagent beats Tim Bresnan without hitting. There's a video on here of them going. They went again in April 2008 and it was pretty much the same thing. Sure Travis relies on speed but to say it's all he has is crazy. Even without his incredible speed he beat Tim Bresnan who is ranked 8th in the world. And Bagent is ranked 5th right now with speed.

However when i say speed you dont get what i mean. you dont have to flash someone to use speed. if travis gets in a good position first it would be hard for anyone to pin him. a simple quick crank of the wrist and the match is essitianlly over for the most part. thats all i ment

I don't think they pulled recently - Brzenk beat Randall without difficulty at the overall at the Harley Pull in 1997. If they pulled recently, I think they would go back and forth - except 2006 when John was essentially untouchable.

dave randall, really nice guy. He was at the 2006 florida state tournment that i competed in. He beat cleve dean, jim battles(i think), and todd hutchins, but was evenutally over taken too many times by todd hutchins. It was a good day for todd.
