  • Brilliant!

  • Is everything you need to play the game included in the game? Do you need any extra dice or other things like other rule books?

  • @notfriendlyyurrf: everything included, no need for anything extra!

  • The review is amazing! But can you please tell me where can I find it? I would love to buy it but I don't find anywhere to do so, except for Amazon, selling it at over 120 dollars D:

  • @HectorEliasOliver: thank you for the appreciation! I do believe the game is sold out now, but have you tried stores like Coolstuff, NobleKnight, EclecticZeal, NWS, etc? I saw that Coolstuff has a copy for $64.99.

  • @marcowargamer Thank you so much for the response! I hadn't seen this sites and indeed does Coolstuff has it, but I guess I'll wait for the bundle to be restocked. Thank you so much! :D

  • Thanks for the review, Marco.

  • if you can reply quickly out of Castle Ravenloft, This1 and the new legend of drizzt which do you think would be best? I have never played DnD and also never read any novels

  • @cuzza4321: I haven't played Drizzt; but between Ashardalon and Ravenloft I'd go for Ashardalon any day of the week!

  • @cuzza4321

I may be able to help,Ive got all three games and for me Wrath of Ashardalon is my favorite. If you want a gothic horror setting Ravenloft will suit you.Drizzt DoUrden is a huge persona in the Forgotten Realms and has is the subject of R A Salvatores excellent series of novels. These board games are also not true D&D role playing games.Thet are board games based on the D&D universe if you will. A typical D&D game requires the core rules book 3-4 friends...cont

  • @cuzza4321 pens and paper and a few dice. All 3 board games have a high replayability value and provide a more physical alternative to true roleplaying games. All 3 have excellent minatures and Scenarios that can be played over and over. For me the best scenarios and adventures are with Wrath of Ashardalon but as a fan of Drizzt I enjoy the opportunity to play out adventures from the novels. Rules for all 3 games are very similar so you can switch between them quite simply. Have fun.

  • Good review. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us.

  • Marco, I´ve just discovered your gaming reviews. You´re the best! Really, really good work!

  • You look like Valintino Rosi.....cool! Great review, cleared up all skepticism, really gonna get this now.

  • I always enjoy your reviews. Best wishes to you and your family. Thanx

  • With the lack of dungeon master must make this game really good for team play and fast pace dungeon crawling. But whats the game like with the lack of DM, it seems that the mechanics fit pretty well but I believe I should ask first.

  • @rickman1945: the game works pretty well; the function of the DM is fulfilled by the cards, and the gameplauy works smoothly

  • hello, i was reading the rulebook and theres is a part called "deefeting a monster" what happens with the same monsters of the other players and the defeated one, i dont understanding it :S its like u discard the same monster if a other player has it, but dont go to the experience pile...

  • thank you for the review, im having troubles deciding which one to buy - Arkham Horror or this. I think im gonna go with this cuz it takes less time.

  • I just purchased this game yesterday. I really like it so far. :) Also, this is a very good review. You explain everything very well and are very concise about things. :D Far better than a lot of other reviews I've seen for this game on here.

  • If you like running multiple characters by multiple players in this game, you'd love d&d miniatures. Check it out by looking up ddmguild.

Excellent review! One of the best I've seen on youtube.

  • Great review!

  • very good review, a nice change that person actually pronounces words and not just mumbles something.... good review... have to look into the game..

  • Just watched your review and proceeded to order the game :) The game just looks like Descent on crack ;) Nice review dude!!

  • @SuperSpiderGoblin There comes a new one in October. I would want to know how this game compare with descent and how both compare to claustrophobia and earth reborn. All of them. What's the difference? =P

  • @kalo0791: you'll find out soon when I release my video review for it!!

  • Great review ! How would you compare this to Castle Ravenloft?

  • @jerseydvd: yes because they enter the game and activate after the hero phase, which is when you get to attack. so you can only attack monsters that entered the game in previous turns.

  • So does the monster always get to attack first?

  • very thorough and eloquent review, thank you for posting this.

    I am definitely buying this

  • Really like your straightforward review style! Very refreshing.

Not sure how I'd feel about there being an encounter/monster every tile, but I was grateful that you addressed this.

One thing I look for in games like this is character customization. When you say that the cards each character gets are limited, do you have the full hand to start or do you have to pick what you're going to use beforehand?

Also, how well does the game scale relative to the amount of characters in play?

  • @MrBlairblack: the game can be played with 1-5 characters, so I don't see why players can't use multiple characters if they so wish. With four characters maneuvered by four players or four characters maneuvered by one or two players, the difficulty of the game is exactly the same. And trust me, it's fun that way too!

  • OK. just played my first solo game... its awesome, people. i like it even more than Descent. and guess what, its *tough*. don't expect a walk in the park... its wild and fun and totally replayable. // another note regarding this outstanding review: it states twice in the rules that each player may play one hero, not any number of heroes as this review suggests. // happy gaming!

  • amazing review!! i have to buy this game now....

  • This is probably the best video covering this game. Great job explaining it!

  • i just ordered this from amazon.com - can't wait to try it out!! (one thing you didn't warn the viewers: this game is expensive - $60.)

  • @MrBlairblack don't feel bad! I paid over $83 CDN after taxes to buy the game. However, I like this game so much that I am going to buy Castle Ravenloft.

  • best review of Wrath of Ashardalon!

  • awesome review. very informative and nicely presented throughout, thanks !

  • Great review, but would love to know how to and how well this combines with Castle Ravenloft. Also love the accent in voice.

  • NIce review man.

  • Great review marco. I am also just playing this and find it to be brilliant fun; the most exciting aspect for me is the chance to add new rules and cards to the base set so easily to expand the adventure. I would also comment that this game is not for those who don't like to lose; the dungeon is brutal and the encounter cards can often destroy you by themselves without the enemies help!!!

Next on my list; Hornet Leader; your playthrough convinced me to try this! Looking forward to it!=)

  • Very well done review, clear and informative.

  • Thanks for a very good review!

  • Great review as always. I enjoy being able to make a well informed purchase. Thanks!

  • Great video!

  • If you like this game, you'll like the Ravenloft game Wizard of the Coast did in this format. Awesome review as always.
