As a life-long FM fan (& a roadie for them in '78), I usually hate FM cover versions but it's good to see todays kids interested in FM. Fair play, this ain't a bad effort..but they should have tried the full version. Problem is, lots of todays dumb kids will think that this is an original!!

i personally love glee, and i think that whenever they do a cover they ALWAYS do it brilliantly and especially in this episode it made me fall in love with all the songs that they do and i have learned to appreciate older songs as before glee started, i always thought HAH old songs they are WUBBISH! but now looking back i can totally see why people loved the songs. and yeah maybe some of the copies aren't amazing but they are only human not everyone can get the right notes or become the best. :)

Just my two-pennyworth here- This isn't them trying to outdo Fleetwood Mac. If you watch the episode, they use it to teach a lesson. In the case of this song, the cover works in the context of the storyline. Sometimes they don't do songs justice, but the point of covering a song is to put a different artistic spin on it. What's the point in having two carbon copies of the same thing? The band was introduced to younger generations through this. What's the problem? A cover is just interpretation.

I think songs are ruined by covers were the singer tries to 'show off' with unnecessary high and low notes to drag bits of the song out but she didn't do that, except at 1:20 and 1:47, but this supposed to be 'live' in style and artists usually sing like that when live and don't always follow the original version to every note and key.

OMG, what's with all the hate, whenever Glee covers a song we get "this sucks, original FTW" comments. Well for one thing Stevie Nicks, part of Fleetwood Mac, loves Glee, so if she can appreciate her and her band's songs being covered, why can't you, as her fans, accept it too? A lot of celebrities love hearing their songs covered on Glee, I just don't get why the fans can't accept it too. I love Glee AND Fleetwood Mac. Just sayin'.

I don't hate Glee for covering Fleetwood Mac(in fact, it's a good way for this imbecilic generation to start exploring GOOD music and pull their heads out of the ass of the pop genre), but there is NO way that anyone could ever remake the song better than the original. Just my two-pennyworth here- This isn't them trying to outdo Fleetwood Mac. If you watch the episode, they use it to teach a lesson. In the case of this song, the cover works in the context of the storyline. Sometimes they don't do songs justice, but the point of covering a song is to put a different artistic spin on it. What's the point in having two carbon copies of the same thing? The band was introduced to younger generations through this. What's the problem? A cover is just interpretation.

@theblueflashinglight It wasn't rubbish. The original is sung with strong, powerful vocals and she used strong vocals and delivered with good tone. I think songs are ruined by covers were the singer tries to 'show off' with unnecessary high and low notes to drag bits of the song out but she didn't do that, except at 1:20 and 1:47, but this supposed to be 'live' in style and artists usually sing like that when live and don't always follow the original version to every note and key.
