Freddie Mercury's full voice vocal range is F2-F5 which is 3 octaves
Bruce Dickinson's full voice vocal range is B1-F#5 which is 3 and a half octaves
Geoff Tate's full voice vocal range is A1-A5 which is 4 octaves exactly.
but its not all about range. Bruce wins in terms of vibrato and control

Freddie Mercury outperforms every other singer in the world in terms of control, power, range, articulation, phrasing, use of dynamics, uniqueness, breath support, register switching, register blending, pitch, vocal runs, consistency throughout registers, volume control, vibrato control, sustain, diction, projection, resonance, & versatility. :D All hail the almighty Queen.
My two favorite singers: Chris Cornell and Freddie Mercury. I can't pick a No. 1, they are both No. 1 in their own way. Cornell has more variety I guess, can be super f*ckin scary like intro to "New Damage" or "Tears To Forget" then gorgeous like "Just Like Suicide" or "Sweet Euphoria". Freddie was also incredibly varied but did very little of the really aggressive singing that is more 'hard rock'. And they both can cut it in concert, as opposed to Plant after 1972. Dio's way up there too - RIP!

@ayaazcyclops technicle skill is what a singer is capable of doing with their voice, that is the generel definition. i will send vidioes to prove this soon but i will give you an example here and now.
Freddie Mercury's full voice vocal range is F2-F5 which is 3 octaves
Bruce Dickinson's full voice vocal range is B1-F#5 which is 3 and a half octaves
Geoff Tate's full voice vocal range is A1-A5 which is 4 octaves exactly.
but its not all about range. Bruce wins in terms of vibrato and control

Dont talk about control or anything man. Its all evident in the live performances who sung well and better while playing an instrument like the piano. Even in terms of listening, mercury had the most beautiful voice in rock. Clearer than crystal believe me

As far as live vocals go Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate are about as good as your going to get! if you want proof of this i made a you tube vidio on Bruce and its mainly his best LIVE performances, and his voice is beautiful.

My two favorite singers: Chris Cornell and Freddie Mercury. I can't pick a No. 1, they are both No. 1 in their own way. Cornell has more variety I guess, can be super f*ckin scary like intro to "New Damage" or "Tears To Forget" then gorgeous like "Just Like Suicide" or "Sweet Euphoria". Freddie was also incredibly varied but did very little of the really aggressive singing that is more 'hard rock'. And they both can cut it in concert, as opposed to Plant after 1972. Dio's way up there too - RIP!

At the true Freddie have 2.5 octave in voice, 3 with falsetto. the top of full voice is Do diesis, and low note is Fa bemolle.
