@MikeShread I have both systems as well. What I notice is that PS3 has sharper texteres (noticeably sharper), but the 360 has significantly better lighting, which makes it look better if you ask me. The missing peice in the puzzle is lighting. If PS3 can get that down it would look better than 360 in every way. The sharper texture looks shitty without certain lighting effects to buff out imperfections.

@21manonego Just go with whatever, they're exactly the same really, they have the same frame rate (I think) they're both 1080p as of now, they both have vibrating remotes, they now share the same type of HDD (2.5" laptop HDD) 360 has more features online as you get what you pay for, PS3 is high less likely to breakdown. Just go with whatever, it doesn't matter.
@21manonego well 360 does in fact have a better GPU as far as RAM im not sure bt if ur just goin to based the system in graphics then go with the 360, but if u want an overall good experience and gameplay then go with PS3

Well my friend who owns a xbox 360 agrees with me that games we both have in common (mw2, nhl2010, and read dead) all look better on the ps3. Hes an xbox fan boy, or should i say was, and he even came to admit he wants to buy a ps3 because the games look better. He said he couldnt see people in certain spots while playing MW2 online but when he played on my Ps3 he said he was able to see those spots where he usually cant see people. All you guys do realise that the multiplatform games WILL look the SAME on both console you need to take exclusive games tailored for the particular game systems graphics cards and processors to see the difference. Blu-Rays don't help with graphics. It stores the game file. Not the quality. The quality is rendered not streamed. I install my games to my Xbox hard drive. Which is free to do. I love PS3 but 360 has pretty good graphics too. Don't be hating on other console.
And also They both have exactly the same Spec's so yeah.... PS3 beats it in everyway cause, HDD Expansion is cheaper WIFI Blu Ray Blue Tooth SCRATCH PROTECTION DISCS, Storage FREE PSN. Most PS3 games are 720P, when Most Xbox games ate 1080P.
Just about all new PS3 releases are 720P, even Killzone 3 is now 720P, Killzone 2 was 1080P, Not sure why this is happing on the PS3 releases

the only difference really in Multiplatform games is that the brightness is higher on the Xbox... for exclusives, thats a different story. ps3 will always win in exclusives ***********(graphics not gameplay, no flame please)

GO LOOK AT RAIN ON PS3 that game has REALISTIC grahpics AND INTERACTION game.. look at mission mad jack ( they should make it more chalenging, the awsome news is onces any 3 charector dies u HAVE to start at the start! AND It is lots action and like csi, if you are the fbi, u have special glasses that can see traces of prints like fringer and more!

in the last photo the PS3 has alot more shadows on the ground then the XBox.
so the PS3 has alot more light sorces and can handle drawing more shadows.
Or the Xbox programers where just to lazy to add all the cool stuff

fanbox stfu it's not about the console, the PS3 has graphics down cus of the bluray and a bunch of other stuff but developers dunno how to develop games for the ps3 so they just dull the graphics down. Certain games look better on certain consoles

Well my friend who owns a xbox 360 agrees with me that games we both have in common (mw2, nhl2010, and read dead) all look better on the ps3. Hes an xbox fan boy, or should i say was, and he even came to admit he wants to buy a ps3 because the games look better. He said he couldnt see people in certain spots while playing MW2 online but when he played on my Ps3 he said he was able to see those spots where he usually cant see people. I had a 360 but the crap got Red Rings... Soo yea just sayin

Ok 1. their not exclusives, u cant make a game with better graphics on one console and not tha other one??? 2. try comparing tha best graphic game on ps3 with tha best of xbox (in this case gears, and killzone- obvs killzone wins cuz anybody wiht eyes wud see that) 3. these are all multiplats with tha same graphics on each console. 4. yes tha lighting is only very slightly different.

All you guys do realise that the multiplatform games WILL look the SAME on both console you need to take exclusive games tailored for the particular game systems graphics cards and processors to see the difference. GTA IV would;ve been better if it was solely for PS3 they haven't yet reached the capabilities of the system

they have already reached the graphics capabilities on the 360 (Gears of war) 360 can't actually produce full 1080p
No game has stretched the cell processor
Blu ray allows for more space therefore more graphics and better quality and content they also readmuch faster than DVD

Blu-Rays don't help with graphics. It stores the game file. Not the quality. The quality is rendered not streamed. I install my games to my Xbox hard drive. Which is free to do. I love PS3 but 360 has pretty good graphics too. Don't be hating on other console.

And also They both have exactly the same Spec's so yeah.... PS3 beats it in everyway cause, HDD Expansion is cheaper WIFI Blu Ray Blue Tooth SCRATCH PROTECTION DISCS, Storage FREE PSN. But the 360 is Cheaper in price. one thing if you havent noticed 360 games tend to be darker than PS3 not because of the makers but because of the PLAT FORM it self from the output. so those pics are prob from a PC as skate does not look like crap. i OWN all xbox / PS systems I prefer PS3 coz of psn wifi hdd.

PS3 VS 360 in a Game like Half Life 2 since its a small game doesn't take up much memory it has identical graphics same size maps, but GTA IV on PS3 on the other hand Since its blu-ray 60gb capable the content on the PS3 is much more detailed if you look close up on cars water clouds walls on PS3 ground too you can see little details 360 laks since its only capable of 8.5gb but the Drive on the 360 loads faster 12x PS3 8x not much diff but makes loading screens less
