"Now, I have to kill all of you!" "If I can't work late, I CAN'T WORK LATE!" "That bitch hit me with a toaster..." "For the love of god, and your own body HOLD THE GOD DAMN HAMMERING!" "Cross: A thing you nail people to." Those are my personal favorite top five. =]
I'm not a Murray fan by any stretch, but Scrooged is a classic film. The casting was great, including the ghosts of Christmas Past & Present. The way they went with bending Dicken's incredible novel was creative, funny, & wrapped up nicely. My favorite film is A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) starring Alistair Sim (in black & white) & my 2nd is Scrooged. Merry Christmas to all!!!
How could you leave out the elevator scene, where Murray runs into the Grim Reaper from the play he's producing?... At first, he's like... "He's here for me, everybody get back!"... Then his assistant tells him the Reaper is in the show, and then he says... "That guy's gonna be a star... He's got a future!".. LOL, classic!..
Love number 3! "Grace, we're indivisible! If I'm working late, you gotta work late! If you can't work late, I can't work late! If I can't work late, I can't work late!!!"
The best bit & part they always cut out these days is the family watching tv, and the host says "dont adjust your sets. i'm black" Brilliant and cut out by do-gooding pricks
Uh, i didn't like this movie. Murray comes off as miserable and the conversion is false and forced. First two ghosts were funny, though---and all the guest stars were fun
wheres the one where murray interrupts buddy hackett and some woman doing a scene and she says something like but ebenezer do you realize what your doing and murray just shows up and says i most certainly do you little bitch ,LOL
@Sinspiration Danny Elfman composed it, along with the rest of the score. You should be able to find it on an album of his early works called Music for a Darkened Theatre.
@CivicD oh man,the jokes i missed when this first came out.oh i just looked up and there was a relative reply to this.i have to watch this full movie now hahaha
Acid rain, drug addiction, iternational terrorisom, freeway killers. Now more than ever it is important to remeber the true meaning of christmas. Dont miss charles dickins imortal christmas classic scrooge.......Your life just might depend on it.
@Sharoney no. 2 is frankly embarrassing. Murray's onscreen breakdown. Was anybody buying it? He goes from totally obtuse and flip for 90 minutes and then suddenly starts screaming "I love you guys!"
wtf THE PART WTH THE CABBY SAYIN NIAGRA FALLS FRANK WASNT IN IT ... N I DIDNT SEE HIM GET KICKED IN HIS FUCKING NUTZ....U HAVE A CRAPPY SENSE OF HUMOR
You picked a top ten scenes list from Scrooged and not one of the contained a ghost? (OK, a bit of David Johanssen in the first one). The scene with Carol Kane has to be there (pulling the lip, delivering a right cross...) So does the scene when he was a little kid and the father brings home veal for a Christmas present, and Frank Cross tries to defend his father's actions.
great vid, but there are much funnier and better scenes in the movie - the part when the ghost of Christmas present hits Murray w/ a toaster, when Murray yells out to the Scrooge actress "I am happy you little bitch. In fact I couldn't be happier", and towards the end the scene involving Bobcat Goldthwait and Murray. and how could you forget the ghost of Christmas past? that guy was awesome! this movie is a classic and is my favorite Christmas movie ever =)
i had to play this clip to remind me why this movie was so unmemorable to me and then it occurred to me...because it sucks. gimme groundhog day, any day
lol beautfull story tell readers digest.. my mom loved that part.. i like the part when the gohst is like... a garden slugs gotten more outt life than you.. and franks is like ..... name one!! LMAO idk but that part is funny
How the hell did you miss the censor getting knocked out by the street light, the ghost of Christmas present nut shot, either of the bill and bobcat exchanges toward the end, and bobcats phone conversation with the tv station owner?
Murray's character was more despicable than the original. But he had the talent to make him funny too. The way he got all teared up during that speech - gold.
I dnt know if ANYONE will agree with me but in the movie, Frank Cross aka Bill Murray is quite sexy. His temper and the way he doesn't let anyone step on him. I never really found him mean I mean he did have a past were his father never cared about him and he grew up to better for more respect. So I think tht men like him are pretty attractive; they stand for themselves and have a sexy snobbish attitude.
I can't belive you did'nt have 2 of the best scenes in there (the one with the censor) "See that works." "show me a nipple." lol. and the line he gave his assistant about the womans death. "So we slapped her in the face and got her attention it was probly something that she ate" lol
Yule, in Swedish, Jul, same pronunciation, might be related to early immigrants probably. Wikipedia:English=Yuletide, Yulefest, Yules, Swedish=Jul, Juletid, Julfest
My friends and I have always said the best moment in this movie is "This is MY little boy!" "Alright, then YOU beat him." That should be at least # 2. (I STILL can't believe no one on YouTube has put up that scene)
-
And... how about the film's best oneliner? "That looked like the Manson Family Christmas Special." That's classic!
-
And- where is... (are) any of the Carol Kane scenes?
what about the part(s) with Bob Cat Goldwig? Especially when he tries to kill Bill w/ a shotgun. That is one of the most classic bits of the movie. LOL
you fucking idiot. it should have the scene where bill murray pretends to fall over, then actually does and hits his head. that scene should be first. TWICE! (this happens in the restaurant)
@evildeaddrew I know- that's way better than #2, his freakout on TV. That was embarrassing, actually. I even felt bad for Bill Murray rather than his character.
You left out the scene in the restaurant! There were quite a few. Like when he just yelled and pointed at that one guy out of no where. Or when he slipped as he was walking out of the restaurant.
I am SO glad you picked that part for number 1. The very first time I watched that as a kid I was laughing so hard I cried. Maybe I just had a twisted sense of humor for a kid, heh. Any other moment just wouldn't have held a candle.
