  • when the tranny line on our 2004 dodge ram broke and we lost all our tranny fluid we didnt blame it on dodge or chrysler it can happen to any vehicle

  • I have a metal rad hose hookup in my 1991 GMC Suburban!!!! MAN I LOVE GOOD OL' AMERICAN ENGINEERING!!! fuck new shit!

  • THIS happend to me last night!!!!!!!!! lucky for me, i was 100 meters from my home!

  • Quit being a bitch and replace it. Two bolts and a clamp.....

  • @stevenmorookian16 sorry made that comment before learning that you didn't stop when you saw all the steam. Shoulda replaced it after 80 thousand didn't you read the owners manual maintanance schedual lol.

  • You made three big mistakes. The first was buying an Aveo. The second was not stopping immediately when the coolant spewed out from the broken hose connector. The third was not learning your lesson and buying ANOTHER Aveo. The rest is bad luck.

  • '

that is GMC error to make and fail,,,

GMC must give free replacement forever

  • I would rather like to see the dirtbike in the background.

  • thats why you get a Honda buddy

  • When you will you diehard GM fans clue in to the fact that GM HAS NEVER BUILT A DECENT SMALL CAR-NEVER!!! Why do you buy them when there are much better alternatives?? Even after the bankrupcy they have not learned their lesson. Here in Canada where we put salt on the roads - the fuel and brake lines on Aveo rust through in as little as 2 years. Suzuki's that GM at one time had an interest in to "show GM how to make small cars rusted out in two years Today paint still flakes off ALL GM cars

  • Well, see.. your american, and ive heard that americans fix anything with duck tape. so. there you go :D

  • "All Aveo owners" Google search for issues with your specific "Aveo" ie. "Timing Belt Failures" I am having mine checked every 36K, I was wanting to buy a new "Volt" unfortunately I will "never" own another Chevy/GM product.

  • Did you have an accident or was the car with a big dent in the middle of the bumper 0:33 when you bought it? Do you think this might have broken or weakend the piece that broke? Is the piece that broke part of the Therostat? I ask because Chevy had a recall on that, you might check into that.

  • Why did you get an Aveo? they are the worst cars ever made by GM. Ever! they make the Geostorm look good!

  • couldn't have anything to do with the fact that you hit something with the front of the car, which quickly forced the radiator back flexing the hose attached between the radiator and the plastic coupler, causing it to be fractured and eventually breaking... your fault.

  • That is what you get for buying a KOREAN car. It is a Daewoo!

  • @ShilohTN1969 Yep, well Hyundaii has improved but the other two Korean car companies are shit. It is sad that GM bought Daewoo and then but their name plate on this Daewoo crap. It was a bad idea as you can see because Daewoo is shit!

  • Are you truly stating the facts? Did you try to drive with an overheated engine?

  • dont get an aveo...

  • No wonder you bought such a cheap ass car. You are a jew!

  • You bought a car that costs like $9,000 NEW I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. You would have been better off with a $4,000 used cavalier.... Hell a cavalier even looks better than these hunks of shit.

  • 105,000 miles, what do you expect? Maybe when the engine blew all the coolant you should have stop driving it until it seized. Lol!

"Gee Geoge, my car is steaming." "Oh well, I guess I'll keep driving,"

  • if you think foreign cars are better look at how many antique ones are left, i cant remember the last time i have seen one older than 15 yrs on the road, i mostly shave with them, and an aveo is from sourced foreign parts you get...what you pay for, gettin another aveo is you not learning your lesson

  • Volkswagen's are pieces of junk also. Unless they're line-up from '01 have gotten better. My dads Jetta has some of the worst motor defects around. My point is any car company is going to have a slip-up here and there. Don't go pointing fingers. Look around--not only at American, but also Foreign--they are bound to have mishaps leading to long term effects.

Also look at the positives, my mothers '98 Malibu was in a head on collision with three palm trees... It still runs.

  • Hmm thanks for the heads up I'll check mine later

  • Toyota has broken plastic too, my 1964 Impala doesn't.

  • Do research before you buy, you can pretty much find common problems like this on forums to be prepared. I also recommend learning about your car more, and pay attention to the maintenance. Also, don't forget to brush at least twice a day and floss.

  • @KSWR500Z Why not? You don't think some guys could be that dumb? Sorry to burst your bubble, but people are in fact that stupid...and worse.

  • this is not a GM, it is a rebadged DaeWoo

  • Thats is why I do not buy any car passed 1979 I can work on older ones and the have strongr parts in them .

  • Thats what you get for buying an American made car......junk

  • @lynch5552933 lmao its a DaeWoo dumbass its not even made in America.

  • @lynch5552933 its not an American made car its a daewoo with chevy badgeson it

  • @lynch5552933 just fyi that engine is a mitsubishi engine.........

  • @lynch5552933 This is a Keroen car. Not American. js

  • @lynch5552933 Get your facts straight, this is a Korean made vehicle.

  • YES GM DID GO BANKRUPT AND QUICKLY BOUGHT ITS STOCK AND SAME DAY OPENED A NEW CO. CALLED "NEW GM" SO YUP THE PUBLIC GOT DUPED BIGTIME! MOST PEOPLE DID'NT EVEN NOTICE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED SOOO FAST!! SINCE THEN THEY PLAY GAMMOT RUNAROUND GAMES TO AVOID WARRANTY REPAIRS! EVEN REFUSED WATCHING OUR VIDEO OF PROOF OF OUR SERIOUS SAFTY ISSUES_ FEAR ROOF WILL BLOW OFF- UMONG OTHER ISSUES! WE HAVE TAKEN LEGAL ACTION AND FILED AGAINST GM IN COURT FOR OUR SCARY LEMON CHEVROLET AVEO.

    REGARDS, SCARYLEMON

  • 87 honda accord, ugly piece of crap. broke 3 cv axles, 230k miles on it, lost its exaust system going over a bump, broken motor mounts, we ran it with no water, we tried, believe me we did, it jsut...wouldnt...DIE!!

    ford>chevy.... its simple math...

  • This is a KOREAN car. Daewoo.

  • u thought the aveo was american, well guess what. its actually made in S. korea, thats why.

  • but these are older Hondas haveing some problems and Hondas has far less problems than average

  • while in my 91 honda civic that part is made of metal, thats the difference between "rice" and "domestic cars" , GM cars are made of plastic

  • thats why i don't bye a american cars

  • @Emka951 The aveo isnt american. the only thing american about it is that it has a chevy logo on it

  • @nobull2003 Correct, because this is a very rare sight. American cars are built very well ...

  • I will tell you your problem. You got a Aveo. WHAT THE FUCK! Dmb ass!

  • @GmTruckCarLove he hit the car, and that caused the plstic to break.Aveo is a GREAT car for it's money and it is high quality ( which of course depends on the manufacturer ). Mine is made in Germany ( Aveo 4Door MY11) and it runs and feels the same like my aunts Skoda Octavia Tour.

  • @alecz92 What ever you say. And you Europeans think you have such good taste in cars. >.>

  • @GmTruckCarLove i never said it won a beauty contest :P i was referring to the quality of the used materials, not to the looks.in my opinion it looks like a regular family car.

  • @alecz92 I was not talking about looks. The quality of the car is pathetic. It is solid but other than that it is just sad. CHEAP inside and a sad ass drive train.

  • get a Honda, not Ford or domestic crap

  • @MaddDogg81 Honda's have problems too. Nothing manufactured or man made will ever be perfect. Honda's been going through a round of very early transmission failures lately, due to a design flaw in the torque converters and other issues in the old 5 speed autos. Just an example that all aren't perfect. But an Aveo? That's built by Daewoo. Whoever the hell that is.

  • thats why you buy FORDS

  • @Gasoline500 All american vehicles are shit. They're all cheaply built crap. You should buy an import if you want quality. A 13000 (usd) toyota, vw, subaru, etc... are all way better than american built shit. I drive and buy import. Also i don't buy any made in china or made in america shit! I buy quality. I buy European or Japanese.

  • @IBMowner1 tell that to my 1995 GMC sierra with 205,000 miles and still can do a mean burnout, yea american made is junk, sorry if my truck can still drive around, yea its not well built, yeah the fact that everything is still original, yea learn the facts before u speak, my v-8 will just make ur cars alarm go off as i drive by, sorry u feel this way but a tundra has not beaten my sierra yet, and i mean a tundra with the same amount of miles, so go ahead and believe ur lies

  • you drove it for 105k miles...lol

it would've been a different story if you got it within several thousand miles...who knows what they think you might have done to it

  • well its an aveo throw away car

  • Mine Broke too! Just got back from a road trip from Louisiana to California. Three days later it snapped in half about 6 blocks from my house. Went to Autozone and got another one made of aluminum for like 35 bucks. Thank god the car never had time to even get warm much less overheat. Just glad it didn't happen in like the Mojave desert!!!! You're right it is a POS!!!!!

  • @SarahMLawley I have a 2006 mine broke in March before autozone had started carrying it I had to get the part from a dealer for $89. I had to replace my MAP sensor today and saw they had that part for $33 there.... I wish it would have waited to burst a few more months!!!!!

  • I was actually paying attention to the road in front of me in rush hour traffic on a friday night. Why do fucking idiots come in with idiotic comments always...

  • you bought a $20 car what did you expect?

  • well your first mistake was buying a daewoo, its not a chevy, it just has chevy emblems on it. look under the hood of your new rattle trap, it also says daewoo

  • sorry but the Aveo is not considered a Chevy, it sucks too much

  • GM SUCKS ,,LIKE FORD ,,,I RECOMENDED VW,, AND HONDA ,,

  • I think you just have bad luck.

  • and that right there is why i stick with honda, toyota, and ford :)

  • you know that the aveo is just a rebadge of a dewoo look on the door i would have not of even bought it in 05 and surely not again in 09 if you already had a problem like that but thats just me lol

  • A few years ago I bought a Saturn Vue. It has been the typical American lemon car. Such a car could only be produced by people who take no pride in their work, have no idea how to engineer, have no clue when it comes to administration, use shabby parts, are unskilled/uneducated, don't practice quality control, needlessly rush production, have no loyalty to customers & show up to work on drugs. In other words, it was produced by typical American management & labor.

  • @Ninoortah the saturn vue is not American its a dewoo look on the door lol nothing American about it

  • @josh198869 The board of directors of GM decided to outsource some of their parts. No one forced those components on GM. If they wanted to they could have practiced some quality control, tested those parts & decided to do business with better parts suppliers. They bear TOTAL responsibility for their cars. If a product bears YOUR company name it is ultimately YOUR responsibility. No one except for loser car trolls gives a shit about trivialities like who was contracted to make certain parts.

  • @Ninoortah i drive a 2011 lancer ES im not really a loser car troll sir but you know and i know deoo folded in 2000 then GM bought them waited some time then came up with the aveo your right tho chevy new the cars where trash from the get go just about makeing a buck.

  • @josh198869 i'm sorry i called you a car troll. i shouldn't have spoken like that.

  • I done away with my Chevys and went to Toyota. I had a 2007 Yaris, sold it outright with 311,555 miles on it and bought a 2009 Yaris with an automatic. I now have 166,445 miles on it. I used to hate Toyota but a friend of mine had a Toyota truck 2 WD with a R22 engine and it had more than 500,000 miles in it so I changed brands. Keep the oil changed and a Toyota car or truck will take care of you.

  • Maybe you messed it up when you hit that pole.....that big dent in the fron of your car.

  • this car is a daewoo. not a chevy, its just been rebadged therefore daewoo is the shit car company

  • Don't feel to bad my grandmother has a 03' malibu and it has 62k miles and its on its 3rd 3.1 motor. And my malinu is on its death bed at 107k on its original knocking motor

  • Well said. I owned a 1978 chevy blazer, sucked, owned a 1995 Saturn, sucked harder now I love Ford. May the best truck win, and that truck is Built Ford Tough

  • Chevy is the problem I had an 06 chevy silverado long story short needed to replace tranny twice u joints rear end head gaskets and back bumper literaly had rust holes in it. This all happened within 60k miles at 63k miles motor locked up and so I crushed it with my ford front end loader and junked it. Chevy really is junk

  • I would have just put a ford motor in it save some trouble

  • Check out Davidsfarmlives channel. Awesome vids.

  • yah we lost a whole race car because a $0.10 bolt. bc at 60mph sideways you snap a bolt uhh byebye

  • i hate to tell you this..although it was bought by you from a chevy dealership..but this car is not a chevy at all...it is a korean car...buy an actual chevy and you will be better off..just like the chevy tracker..that was not a chevy at all either..or back in the day when they brought the nova back out..that was not a chevy either ..you have an asian car ..so now you got a taste of a non american car

  • @390merc65 GM did this, because they could not build a decent small car on their own (Chevette, Cavalier, Cobalt, lol), last really good GM small car was he Nova/Prizm and even they were rebadged Toyota Corollas

  • @megazythr well i do see a shit load of cavalier's still on the road..even a citation or 3 still going..i am not a chevy guy but even the last nova was not a nova at all but just in name only...working for toyota i can tell you they are not all that either...toyotas are over rated ..and honda does not impress me much either

  • Thats a nice 2 stroke bike or quad in the back ground :D

  • aveo sucks... ive always said that and always will.. its a korean car with no "soul" and definitely no long term quality.. when people first buyed that model in my country the dealer delivered with a list of problem parts you should replace in the first 6 months if you wanted a valid warranty service.. which only was 1 year or 20.000 km (12.500 miles) that when a "decent" warranty covers 3 times more than that...

  • get a chevy truck!

  • chevy isnt your problem dude. its korea. this is a korean car. i do know a few people with aveos and they dont have any problems but if your going to by a chevy, dont buy this one. (this all coming from a die hard chevy fan)

  • Some of that coolant would have had to make steam. Because as soon as that hot liquid is exposed to the cooler air it makes steam.

  • Happened to my girlfriend's 2006 Aveo.. the replacement part was made out of metal.. what do you expect for basic transportation?

  • Plastic dominates auto parts these days, and it's not just GM. Most water pump impellers made today are made of plastic, and they often fail at vulnerable times. Competition between manufacturers forces an engineering aim for a part life at just longer than extended warranties. With so many plastic parts reaching their failure date, it's no surprise that stuff like this happens.

  • The car had 105,000 miles on it and the guys acts like fresh of the lot somthing broke, a plastic fitting right next to the exhaust manifold and a newer car with that many miles says most of its driveing was long trips on the interstate at higher speeds also pushing the little under powered engine in the Aveo creating higher engine temps so you can exspect some wear and for the plastic to weaken over a long period of time, how you did not know there was a problem idk

  • This car is made in south Korea that is your problem not GM. And you drove that thing more than 1/4 mile after it started to overheat pal. No bumb cunt is going to believe that 1/4 mile bullshit story. I think you got exactly what you deserve for buying a POS, driving it after hearing, seeing and smelling coolant and to continue to drive it atleast 3 miles after it started to over heat.

HAHAHA. Fuck you dumbass and good day sir.

  • Well, this is why American people no longer put up with "buy American car" BS and Big Three went down. What a big waste on spending billions of dollars of our tax money to bail out GM.

  • @Sitti2300 They are now more or less European cars. GM has been bringing in designs and engines from Holden for the past while now due to problems with Daewoo. Sure the engine is a Holden design, but the rest of the car is Daewoo. The Daewoo based products were the ones to avoid.

My friend has a 2007 Aveo/Lanos and she has already had her car in for electrical problems, and just recently had an internal coolant leak which required a top end rebuild.

  • The Chevrolet Aveo is a lower end car just like the Colbalt with low build quality and below average reliability even the Nissian Sentra would of been better you should of of went with a corolla, focus or civic

  • Plastic as a part of the engine? WOW!

  • dude, chevy and ford used to be good, but not anymore seriously! get an older toyota, or a newer yaris. those will last ya 300-400K miles. no more american shit! i drive a honda fit and great car!

  • my 05 aveo 140k and counting, pushes 40 gallons a pop, and all the parts are original. Have replaced serpetine and been anal about running sythntetic blend and thicker gear oil for the engine and trans, rotate the tires, and know how to drive a car that's not intended to be driven like a corvette. The reason your car's falling apart is you most likely neglect one of the aformentioned things.

  • that's why gm almost went under.

  • i think you mean the engine seized

  • ...and that ETEC bullshit is in the same category as those "high tech horses" that are in those Dodge Neons... or Plymouth Neons...

  • ...and WTF is an "E TEC 2" engine... SHAME... and more brain rape!!!

...because ETEC is on the other side of the spectrum to VTEC... fucken Chevys

  • ...and this video is just here on YouTube to catch those who also are experiencing the same problem... hmmm... and to let the Chevy owners know that you are NOT going to get anything... and that even if that plastic thermostat housing Akheelees heel brakes on you... then don't even think about complaining... because Chevy is all American and it's RED WHITE and BLUE... and if you complain... then DOPORTADO pendejo... or back to the plantation... BOY!!!

  • ...hahaha... a 100,000 miles out of a Chevy Aveo... hahaha... motherfucken LIER... see... those are the Chevy dealers mind ticks and mind fucks... and mental brain rapes... to make you think that maybe you will be able to drive it until a 100,000 miles... HA?! ...hmmm... I towed those pieces of shit back to the dealership... and they looked way newer... or almost new... and this video shows a REAL problem... and they admit it... yet they brain rape to give you hope in the US economy... it's OK

  • Amen! You tell it brother!

  • building the hotest point in the cooling system out of plastic is never going to work well, fucking plastic. bmw do the same thing as do many other manufacturers now for weight and cost.. give me a metal thermo elbow please.

  • THIS DEF HAPPENED TO ME IN TEXAS AND I DROVE THERE FROM CHICAGO!!!

  • i notice the front of the car is pushed in.....maybe the crash u were in coulda broke the plastic thermostat housing?......did we even bother to inspect the car for hidden damage?......i dispise modern GM cars....but this is just irresponsible whining....its a car....not a majic carpet......

  • thats why u gotta pay attention to your gauges...and the TEMP GAUGE!! that engine wouldn't have seized if you had

  • I dont think they convinced you... you chose to accept that OLC

  • Ha ha ha ha!

    ( ha ha ha ha)

    Heeey-a-o!

    (Heeey-a-o)

    Cooba cooba cooba cooba

    (Cooba cooba cooba cooba)

    Ha ha ha ha!

    (ha ha ha ha)

  • I'm sorry but if you don't pull over when your car starts to smoke like crazy you're the idiot.

  • man...i feel for you.

I always buy used cars because they are better deals. you can buy an 1 or 2 year old car with about 40% off.

my 2nd car got almost 300k mile on it and still run great. its 2001 honda accord. Hell..i even save money for oil changes because i only do it every 8000 miles.

  • Well you get what you pay for, after all they are made in Korea. IT'S A DAEWOO!!! Made in america my ass.

  • I own a 2011 Chevy Cruze with 2500 miles on and its ben in the shop 4 times already AND it just got its first oil change!! still runs ruff so ill be going back for a fifth time.

  • @1990subie Doubt it.

  • It seems that every time GM comes out with another turd "which is often" people flock to get one, about the time they all realize the mistake they made, GM introduces another one, then they flock to trade in there old turd for the new one! I just don't get it and to think they probably drove right passed a Toyota or Honda dealership! If you insist on a domestic brand, consider a new Ford, if you insist on a domestic car, consider a Toyota, Honda, Nissan or Subaru. It's not that difficult !!!

  • lol

  • well fuck this is y u dont buy american cars does it really take 1 car to make u learn ur lesson

  • Please, don't get me wrong because I really do feel for you, but why would anyone with access to a Consumer Reports even consider such a car? I understand being a little short on funds and needing dependable transportation, I would have purchased a three to five year old Corolla or Civic with 100k then ANYTHING new from GM. Have you been following whats going on with them in the last three years? Come on buddy, you sound intellegent enough to make the right decision, now go make it...

  • @Mrphatbastard1

Very true. The Aveo is hardly any better than a 93-97 Corolla/Prizm

  • This isnt even a true GM car. ITs a Daewoo, wich means its gonna be a pile of shit. GM was good (for the most part) untill they teamed up with Daewoo.

  • GM = General Misery

  • @orochimaruisugly GM = General Mistakes

  • So this EXACT same thing happened to me... even the mechanic looking at it after was baffled as to why they used what they did.. i pretty much got a whole new engine for the car but now the engine light and hold light flash due to a "safety issue". it has been looked over by everyone for months and even though every little piece is in working order.. those lights still come on causing it to fail emissions... this car is pure crap and just thinking about it angers me.

  • No sir, actually you havent been "screwed" by general motors. Same thing happened to mine. General Motors has remodeled this housing and you can get one shipped to you. I had to wait for it to come all the way from Korea- but it was worth it. Mine just broke 100,000 a week ago and is in tip top condition and Im sure that I put mine through more hell than you considering Im a teenage driver- yet apparently you sir, dont take very good care of your vehicle like i do- judging by the looks of it....

  • Well, I personally love GM, but I will say that I wouldn't buy an Aveo. It's a very cheap car, and I wouldn't expect too much from it anyways. You can buy an Aveo brand new for less than 14,000. I just wouldn't buy it. They can't all be winners is what I'm saying, really.

The Tahoe is great, the Aveo..not so much. It's ugly too. :P

  • You didn't know when you bought it that it was a piece of shit????

  • Probably should've worked harder and bought a better car? How's that as food for though.

  • I think people who have responded negatively should buy themselves a hot cup of shut the f_ck up ! The man in the video has a genuine problem. While he's invested his paycheck obviously in a car he liked and unforseenably turned into an expensive paper weight, the the rest of the jocks he paid his money to, are laughing all the way to the bank. Manufacturers need to take responcibility. He may also even try to approach this thing alternatively under the "Lemon law".

  • Maybe you should learn to drive. Look at the damage to the front of your car. How does it take a quarter mile to understand that you should stop when your car is overheating? STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You bought a piece of shit. What would you expect from a car that cost $10000 new?

  • y 2005 Chevy Aveo "DID" have a small leak going on in the same area. I took precautions to have it checked. My mechanic called for the replacement part over the phone. He was told by the supplier that all owners of these cars have to replace the part with metal replacements. Somebody higher up had an after thought - WTF now I'm feeling sorry for you. Seeing your video is the greatest thing you can do for everyone. I am happy I caught this in time. Thank You for posting the video.

  • Where are you? I'll buy your hunk of shit...

  • and what did we learn today.. DONT BUY NEW CARS, on gas milage is good.. i wonder why? because of weight reducing factors like this! My daily driver is an 87 dakota, ya i get 12mpg but i know it will never break.

  • if you dont like gm drive something elsie asshole shit was not made to last yes i under stand that gm is geting cheaper but it only to compet fwith the foering car competitors

  • Dude i hate Chevy too. My malibu's radiator went out at 35000 miles.

  • What he says is true same thing was going to happen to my car but before that broke i got it replaced for $55 dollars on ebay. also another thing that broke on my aveo was the belt tensioner for the timing, which broke everything else inside the engine, will never buy a chevy vehicle again!!!! take my work do not buy chevy. one thousand dollars later and problems seem to keep coming up.

  • @edgarnik The timing belt tensioner went on mine too but it did not mess anything else up....got the part replaced for like 140 installed

  • They are building them better!

  • There must have been steam shooting from the hood. If I saw my temp gauge go over half and steam shooting from under the hood, I would pull over. Stupid **** happens all of the time, you get a flat tire, you lose your coolant, whatever the case may be. Should have pulled over 3 minutes and quarter of a mile before it fused. Then you could have paid $20 to get it fixed and you would have been off getting another 100,000 miles. Please people, if you see smoke or steam, pull over.

  • @ChickenC0re

Dude....guy.....people! Please! WHY WAS THERE NO STEAM COMING FROM MY ENGINE FOLKS? CAN ANYONE ANSWER THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION?

BECAUSE ALL OF THE FLUID EJECTED OUT THE BOTTOM OF MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!

THERE WAS NO FLUID TO MAKE STEAM ESPECIALLY NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO SEE GOING 70 MPH IN TRAFFIC!

FUCKEN 125 + responses to this video and most are as useless as this one. Of course I know to pull over if I see steam fucking coming out of my engine. AGAIN...

  • @IsaacDewisp what could have happened was the thermostat was stuck shut, not letting coolant flow through the engine and building up so much pressure and heat that it blew the housing apart. that could be why you didnt have any steam, just a thought. its too bad you had to go through a costly experience like that. learn from your mistakes. i never, nor would i ever own a gm vehicle.

  • @aaronjam99 My first new car was a 96 Chevy Beretta with the 3100 and 4 spd auto. Trans would slip and shudder at times, there was the smell of coolant when using the heater, short lived brakes and piston slap when the engine was cold. All this before 30 K miles. The slipping trans "could not reproduce problem" at the dealership and they refused to open it up to take a look inside. GM and I parted company after that and I brought a new Toyota Corolla which I still drive 12 years later. NO probs.

  • @Nivicoman the tranny slip and shuddering would have probably been from broken or burned clutch parts. the smell of coolant with the heat on would probably have been a bad heater core. piston slap in a 3100 is to be expected (poor design), and i have not been able to find dependable brakes for anything. as much as i dont like toyota, i would own one before anything gm could offer.

  • @Nivicoman

The Beretta was in its last year of being discontinued, so there may have been a "don't care" attitude, since it would never be built again.

  • @megazythr Yep that's what I get for believing the Consumer Report on it "Beretta is a good car". I heard from a coworker looking at new Malibus last year that the one he test drove wouldn't get out of first gear. Brand new! Mechanically much the same car as Beretta. 15 years later, still a POS GM product.

  • @IsaacDewisp So your telling me that all the antifreeze came out of that hole that is 3 inches away from the exhaust manifold but none of it hit it... I find that very hard to believe when your going 70. I think somebody had their eye on the hottie next to them

  • you got screwed, mine on the 08 hatch is metal, def not going to break, just took it off and inspected it, it is built like a brick poo house

  • i have a 2008 aveo and havnt had a prob with it, got 29000 miles on it so far, beat the tar out of it, mods, 4-1 headers, aem short shifter, apexi neo + p4 computer, fuel pump, rails, injectors, and finally camed, not a racer but better than stock. I checked out my tube at that bend and it still looks like it is in good shape, guess your out of luck, drop a new motor in it, they are only $850 brand new from the factory w/o tranny.

  • @snowmobilejon5000 I'd look into replacing that part with something more sturdy if I were you. Take it for what it's worth

  • @IsaacDewisp mine is a metal bend not plastic, you can get them off rockauto

  • @IsaacDewisp the newer ones are metal that dont break just order it, part is like 10 bucks and a 5 min fix

  • @snowmobilejon5000

Easier said than done, this car is being discontinued

  • @megazythr no its not being discontinued, GM cannot make them fast enough, that is why they built a new plant and a third of the plant is dedicated to the new aveo for 2012, funny thing is now it is being made in the US, 2 words bad ass, the new one has the Europe 1.4L turbo, 136hp but can be easily modded to over 200 safely without blowing anything or having to split the block

  • @snowmobilejon5000 You were/are at the mileage the Timing belt should be checked, since many broke before 60k (especially the early 2004-2005) models

  • Most of you seem to be missing the point. I don't care where the parts were manufactured, I don't care that Daewoo parts are being used to build aveo's... I cared that GM offered me $2,000 to go buy an 09 aveo which I did after my other one shit the bed. So I did. Then they went bankrupt 3 days later and told me to go screw.

Now I own a Hyundai Sonata which you can all call a Korean POS and go fuck yourself when I'm getting everything out of my 60k bumper to bumper warranty.

  • @IsaacDewisp Hyundai is way better than the so called Big 3 with cars coming from china. see Hyundai genesis beating the icon muscle cars of America here on YT.

  • @IsaacDewisp I LOVE the new Sonatas!!!!

  • Hey you now have a 3000lb paperweight! That's why you get a ford!

  • The car isn't a pos it's lasted me and my dad 160k miles only thing that has happened to it in the past is a dumbass hauling a medium sized boat with the thing and breaking the timing belt

  • No that's why I'm not buying a piece of shit american car from a piece of shit american car company again. Which includes ford

  • @IsaacDewisp Hyundai is currently 7th and 8th best selling car in America beating ford fussion.

  • @clunkerboy1 I am very happy with the Hyundai so far....have not had it for long but the 60k B2B warranty is great. Even buying a used Hyundai Sonata I get 2k more on the warranty than buying a brand new gm, ford, toyota, kia.....the list goes on. Plus I get a lifetime engine warranty on that vehicle.

  • @IsaacDewisp Hyundai: America's Most Successful Car Company

  • and im sure the big ass dent in the front had nothing to do with it you can see the hole front end pushed of course something is going to break your the one trying to screw gm for not getting your car checked correctly i wouldnt pay for anything for not getting your car fixed. hitting something and breaking part of your car is not a manufacturing defect

  • Actually the dent was from someone hitting me and it happened 3 years before the manufacturing defect in the radiator hose coupling.....ya...I'm no mechanic but I think the minor fender bender had nothing to do with it....fucking idiot.

  • @IsaacDewisp GM cuts cost unnecessarily in that hose connector to the engine.

  • its a Daewoo aka korean pos with a chevy badge on it you want a good chevy sedan go for the impala or malibu

  • I have a 97 Buick, GM made quality vehicles up until about 2003. The only good brands left in gm were Buick and Hummer. My friend's friend has a 2008 chevy impala and it's just a pos! The fuel gauge goes up to full (when it is full) and with in 30seconds of the car running goes down to E and the fuel light comes on on the dash. Don't Buy Chevy, Cadillac, or GMC. Buy a Buick or Hummer! My Century has under 26,000mi. Origonal! She's in great shape. Some rust (underneath) but i' m fixing that.
