Actually Obama has more English ancestry and is descended from King William I of scotland. The Irish American voters are trying to upsell his "Orishness" while most of them are plastic paddys at best and not Irish citizens which is the legal definition of an Irishman. Most of them have tenious links over 150 years old at best. I wouldnt go as ar as calling the Irish dirt though.
