@burns01 2002s will probably give you more variety with overall satisfaction. you can get more out of the sound edges than you could from the RUDE series. not saying RUDE isn't good; they're great for their intended purpose. but if you want to exercise some versatility, the 2002s have that sweet wash sound that translates well into various formats. if you're still stuck, best and easiest solution is to go try a pair of each out and see what works best for you.
Could you please try a hi hat combination by using Paiste 2002 Sound Edge bottom cymbal as bottom and Paiste 2002 Heavy hi hat top cymbal as top?

i have these hats and i really like them but theyre not the best for recoding as they do ring over a bit - great to play live tho

I've got the hats there, and i really enjoy them. :) And when they get all knocked up and used, they just sound even better! ;D
