Oh, I would like to listen to a studio version because I understand that it´s very raw and rough. I´m a big fan of music from the 60s. Listen for example to an unknown band from Scandinavia called THE ZETTLERS. Check up their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Really f.....g good. Something for this band to play!!!!! The recordings were made 1965!!!!!!!!!!!
favorite memory of the cramps was seeing them in 1991 with the RHCP for a halloween /new years gig they seemed to start doing every year. Of course Lux got down to his patent g-string and high heels fellating the mic bit. My friends were shocked-they couldn't believe I liked such "weird" music.
Then I knew for sure I loved the cramps! miss you Lux.
Do you mean , you wonder if they ever did it in the studio? I doubt it. A guy I met in NYC in '84 said they used to do this, live. I was'nt sure 'til I heard this version(Reportedly from Italy)...It's based on The Swamp Rats' version BTW.

Swamp Rats version is fantastic too, I like the way they do it over the more common way which is in this case used as the intro

"I wanna leave a happy memory when I go
I wanna leave something to let the whole world know
That the rock 'n' roll daddy has done past on
But his bones keep rockin' long after I'm gone"
