  • I loved this show! It was one of the best. I was so disappointed it ended so soon. It remains a puzzling mystery to me..

    Thanks for posting this!

  • Man, I use to watch this just because I had the hots for Helen Hunt. I was 12 and thought she was awesome. Between this and the Quarterback Princess I was in love.

  • anthony edwards aka dr. mark greene from E.R. lol look at that luscious full head of hair he used to have!

  • Lordy, the memories.

  • The theme song is splendid. Don't know why it wasn't released as a record...

Brings me way back to a very cosy, happy place, walking on air ...

  • Carlene Watkins was a surprise. She was on Dear John for our first two seasons. She was very nice. She was the wife of Ed. Weinberger who was the Executive Producer. Billie Bird was on Dear John all four seasons. She was a marvelous professional who had done everything in show business except lion taming. Good to see them in this.

  • Does anybody remember the show in which Patty Duke is sad in a courtroom at the end? I'm not sure if she lost a case that had a disastrous verdict.

  • @richiebear1969 That was a Perry Mason movie. She played the sister of the guy who was the real murderer. I don't know the name of the actor who played who brother. He played the tall lanky crooked deputy, in the "Charlie's Angels" episode "Angels in Chains". Type Patty Duke's name in, on the IMDB search page, and find her Perry Mason appearance and the name of it.

  • I had no idea that six of my favorite actors all starred in a sitcom together. I read a comment that this aired at 9:30. Well, I was 9 when this was on TV and my bedtime was at 9 so I've never seen ONE episode of this show. All I remember is hearing the theme song one night my grandmother was watching it in her room. Couldn't remember the show but remembered the theme song so I Googled the lyrics. This video came up up the search. I wish this show had aired before 9. I would have liked this.

  • I believe it was against Cheers?

  • Show me your future and I'll show you mine

We saw love at first sight

You found a home with a view in my arms

That's where love spends the night

Off to the Races and off to the moon

Passionate love can be over so soon

How many times have we lost it and then

Hopelessly fallen in love once again

Show me your future, I'll show you mine

That's where love spends the night

  • This show was placed on the dreaded Thursday night on ABC at 9:30pm sandwiched between two close for comfort and 2o/2o on the same night Joanie and Chachi. It was opposite Simon & Simon and Taxi. It was pretty good show about 40ish professional couple with kids in college that won't leave home think white bread verson of Cosby.

  • God, I have been looking for this theme song for so long! Loved the show, too. I'd buy this on dvd in a minute if it was ever released.

  • Anyone know which album I can get the theme song "Where Love Spends the Night" sung by Paul Williams and Crystal Gayle, please? Thanks.

  • Helen Hunt's hair!

    It's so... Barbie...

  • Those of you who would like to see this on DVD....raise your hand.

  • Do you have any other episode where the first line of the theme song is not cut off? If not does anyone know where I can find the theme song somplace else? Thanks

  • I cant believe someone actually had this! I was looking so long for this show! I loved it and am so glad its on the tube!

  • Glad to be of help :-)

  • The wonderful Mr. Edwards starred in Fast Times At Ridgemont High around this time. That movie became a springboard for a multitude of stars, especially one Sean Justin Penn.

Pop quiz time -- who else? (One of them decided to change his family name).

  • Terrific show! Far too short-lived. I didn't realize how cute Anthony Edwards was...not a bad deriere.

  • Don't know why this well-written show didn't make it. Susan Harris' guidance, a GREAT cast, Anthony Edwards and Helen Hunt played Patty and Richard's kids. Like "The Associates", this should have had a long run.

  • I loved this short-lived show... Patty Duke is always a favorite in anything she does. Thanks for sharing it!
