that is true for quite all of the classic variation. Actually it is not the only think changed from Petipa's time to nowadays.. Ballet technique evolves (fortunately) it is a good thing

this is perhaps the most difficult shade variation - interestingly, when Petipa first staged it the tempo was twice the speed it is here, which means much easier!!

after seen the clip from the Paris Opera from this variation I am amazed by her beauty at such an early age, she is perfect, this is the most dificult variation from the three shades, and she is only 14......wow. La Bayadere is my favorite ballet, and I have seen it by the major companies in the world. Nicole is simply magnificent. Where does she dance? i love to see her live.
