  • Falco sounds like he's saying 'hey man, we jammin'

  • The music on this stage is epic. Some of the best music ever in a video game.

  • Why didn't Nintendo remake this instead of SF64?

  • 3:17 as a kid I always thought i was flying through the halls. SF64 has nothing on this one

  • I used to always yell yeehaaw after blowing up the ship (s) core and escaping the explosion...

  • is it possible for the arwing to transform in this game?

  • @supercoolmanable no. sorry.

  • I didn't realize it for a long time that at around 2:14 the boss appears in the background and gradually gets closer before you fly into it.

  • 1:20 Shut up jerk (Falco)! I just saved your life back there!

  • Why couldn't we get a cockpit view? :< That would have been awesome seeing it from the POV of Fox and his friends!

  • Sperm and egg.

  • @chadwick703 I seriously hope when I have sex my sperm go through something epic like this.

  • I want a remake of this Starfox, but, for Nintendo 3DS and 2011 graphics

  • I never understood Falco, he complains about a "bogey on his six" and when you save him, he says "Mind you own business, fox"

  • you suck at this game

  • @mitsukai89 that was annoying

  • This footage is running the game at turbo speed, no joke. The game isn't normally that fast. Though I wish it was.

  • Count me in as one of the many people waiting for this on Wii VC...

  • This level is superb in every way. Even just the beginning as the starfield effect slows down and the awesome music kicks in as the camera zooms into the cockpit… Destroying the cores of those huge battleships… the buildup to the boss battle…

  • The ultimate ship it's like a laptop.

  • Am I the only person who actually preferred the cockpit view?

  • @arlibrarian

Nope. I preferred it too. It's not like I am usually in my own way.

  • THIS game needs to be remade. Don't even ask me to list reasons.

  • @Darkjediiii They already did didn't they? (Starfox 64) and it was nowhere near as good. TBH I think the games charm and appeal to it's old fans comes from it's design and music at the time which in a remake they would have to upgrade and it would just be another Starfox 64. On the other hand tweaking it and porting it to consoles hell yeah!

  • @darthkahn45 Good point. I grew up with this game, so the music and sound effects are so nostalgic for me.

  • @darthkahn45 64's problem was more the music. It was nice and modern, but nowhere near the level of epicness that the original Starfox soundtrack had. The other problem was that they threw in a lot of extra characters without proper background. You didn't learn much about Bill or Katt unless you looked it up online or got the official Nintendo strat guide for SF64, for example.

  • @Darkjediiii Oh yes. It so does. Nintendo needs to get off its ass and do it already.

  • This game is not canon as of the release of StarFox 64, which was a remake.

  • I MUTHERFUCKIN LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!

  • This game sure was a classic.

  • this music is so fitting for a mid game level! Its so fucking epic and just pumps you up

  • VC it Nintendo! NOW!!

  • goddamn i love this level, this game, this song, snes, 1996 when I got the game, and so on about how awesome this game was

  • How did Slippy get into Starfox anyway? Was it like collect 12 crisp packets and become a space pilot?

  • THIS GAME MADE ME JOIN THE AIR FORCE!!!!!!!!!!

  • @CrissySnow then song is for you =)

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!!!

  • best level in the entire game! Alot better than area six!

  • Going into the ship had to be one of the best parts of the SNES.

  • Surely the Super Nintendo couldn't handle ANYTHING else than all of what it was asked to do on this level. And yeah, you can tell Nintendo went nuts in creating this game. And whoever made this soundtrack should be entitled to a fully stocked and upkept harem for the rest of his life.

  • @johnross456 That would be Hirasawa Hajime. If what I heard is true, he's actually making cell phone ring tones these days. Weird twist of fate for someone who created such an epic soundtrack...

  • @Ruisu7 Cell phone ringtones... what an injustice. If I was rich I'd hire him to do any little thing I could think of that involved custom music.

  • still got the original cartridge best level on the game the music gets my heart pumping destroying every thing insight including those annoying shits that try to shoot me down with Cheerios!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF!!! How did I get here from death note????

  • Just a Question.... How does one play at Normal Speed, rather than Snes Speed?

  • 1:51 SLIPPY YOU COWARD......

  • EPIC game. No matter how dated the graphics seem, this game's atmosphere never fails to send chills up my spine.

  • music + this stage= awesome

  • best stage of the game :D

  • Awesome soundtrack for this level.... Good time when I was a kid....

  • u beat the boss in 5 seconds way 2 go!

  • i love the music that plays when you beat a mission! good memories!

  • Falco: "Bogey on my Six"

    "Watch it, Fox!!"

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS MUSIC

  • Woah what a video the last part whilst fighting the Space armada was great, and once flying inside the last boss was ace. me and my mates loved that when we saw it about 18 years ago. cant wait to see Venom level now.

  • What screen recording system is he using?

  • I think out of all the levels in that game this is my favy!^_^

  • @weeoo86 I think i know why you like it so much: the music is outstanding! This is one of the best tracks in Starfox.

  • Easily one of my favorite stages. Loved the atmoshpere it has. ^_^

  • One of the most bad-ass games in history. Seriously. A tiny fleet of four, small fighters taking down entire space armadas, blasting through defenses and bases on planets with impossible obstacles, shooting the crap out of a polygon face hellbent on taking ever everything, and getting out of all of it in one piece, in turn, saving a whole system of planets, and possibly, the universe.

if that isn't fuckin' awesome, I don't know what is. Screw the two people who disliked this.

  • @SappinSentry EXACTLY. Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @SappinSentry the people who disliked were Andross and Oikanny

  • This is Red Five, I'm going in.

  • This game looks so awesome! They should release this on VC!

  • This level has one of the coolest themes IMO

  • Bogey on my six!

    Mind your own business, Fox!

    ....

What a nice way to thank Fox for saving your ass! D:<

  • this game on the snes was DA shit. clearly an epic game in it's time

  • ratchetand clank size matters copied off some aspects of tis level

  • Do a barrel roll, for fuck's sake!

  • there are a few textures in this game

  • on my zsnes and snes this game runs really slow

  • its been 15 years since i first experienced this game... the feeling of absolute grandeur is still unmatched : )

  • @luishomeroremohsiul it been around 15 years for me too and i agree. i remeber playing this game when i was about eight. man did i slave it and i reckon i still would if i had it still.

  • This level is one of the most beautifully done level in the entire game. The design and music really bring it all together, and sometimes I take this route just to play it.

  • A beautiful place.

  • If they make a Star Fox game for the Wii, they should include the shield power up from this game to the Wii game.

  • I love this level, now usually I get killed but I love this level because of the actions and explosions. PS my cousin has this game for SNES he got before I was born

  • i loved this level. so much to destroy and so many awesome explosions!

  • TheNewerGuy, you are very skilled, you know that ?

I love your vids, keep 'em coming !

  • jesus christ that was quick..

  • Love the sound of the spaceship engine before the music kicks in, really makes it that much more intense. Such sweet memories. This level and it's music still kicks serious amounts of ass. Thanks for posting.

  • Wait, where and how are you playing this if its not on the SNES?

  • probably an emulator on the computer

  • GOOD LUCK

  • Powerful Battleships my ass!!!!!! i love this theme!!!

  • 2:51 The blocks make a noise when you fly past them. That is incredible attention to detail...

  • It's time to wake up to "chemtrails". Search for it. This is important. It's a secret program. I filmed it myself. Check "Dont talk about the weather". Wake others!

  • I remember blasting some of those enemy fighters and seeing the pilot emergency jump out of it, towards the screen.

  • That's what that purple thing is!? I thought it was a dinosuar or something!

  • It's not 3D, it was a sprite. But it was purple I think! Is it seen in the video?

  • God...I love this level too!

  • the boss music for this is used alo in videos alot

  • first 3d game ever good music in this level brings back good memories

  • damn you did that shit quick!!!! it always to me forever!

  • I always loved how the Atomic Base never had any music... super creepy how it's just the sound of your engines in the enclosed space.

  • I like the Space Armada music. I memorize every note of it.

  • oh ye dya no the blue flashu shield thing i got that to meteor yey

  • Always a weak spot.

  • wow this is my favorite mission EVER its plain epic and it really made the SNES work overtime you know i used to shove a nova bomb right inside the boss and kill it with one shot its the best feeling ever!!!

  • Wing damage!

  • Man, I wish I could have played this game. Nice job by the way. You looked like a pro. =D

  • Hands off my bread!

  • I discovered a way to ensure a 100% on this level.

I was playing one day and discovered you could SKIP the ships you enter. Doing so loops the level prior to the ship (and after the previous one) over. To do it, you must get to the edge of the screen when it comes up. I use this trick with the second one since there's lots of enemies and a checkpoint.

  • if you skip en they keep coming back

  • Indeed, the stage just loops and you can keep on playing...

    "Stay awhile... STAY FOREVER!!!"

Seriously, as much as I love Titania, this stage actually has good reason to keep you from clearing the objectives... kickass music and just an overall epic feel.

  • Well, that wasn't much of a boss!

  • yeah man my favorite level good song iff i play the starfox level in super smash brothers brawl i got always this song on gives good memory's

  • This was my favourite level in the whole game. The music made it perfect, the image of four fighters VS an entire battlefleet and just tearing through them

  • Seriously, the music really pumped me up for this level! There was no better fit of music for this level!

  • amazing what a little snes is ablte to do.

...and to think that Starfox 2 was almost complete when it got canceled. It had 10x more features...like srsly the arwing could transfom into a walker in some areas!!

  • 2 Things I noticed about this level:

    1. It's sorta like SF64's Sector Y with SF64's Area 6 Music and level Style.

2.The Boss is the same as SF's Sector Z.

  • ye but this is better

sf64 copied off this muddbjvver nohggjnded

  • best mission evur

  • best music in the game

  • WOW!

  • i them to remake this game and call it starfox deluxe

  • ya men this game deserv it

  • wow thats fast did you overclock the fx chip?

  • No, Zsnes doesn't emulate the SuperFX properly; that's one reason I use SnesGT.

  • I completely forgot how awesome this level is. That sense of speed you get in the tunnel sections just blows me away knowing it was on the SNES.

  • and you can tell nintendo worked theyr asses off on this game

  • i remeber the music and i was soo bad at this game i played it when i was little

  • Lol the big battle cruisers look like pigeons.

  • Dub dub dabba dah dah dub.

  • Definitely my favorite level from the original Starfox as well.

  • Star Fox soundTracks are magic

  • Good I remember this game very well and this level. It's very fast you could nearly put the Benny Hill theme instead of the games music in this level. But great game it was.

  • cool

  • This is an odd comment, but I have to ask, does anyone else hear, "Bubba we jammin" when Falco speaks?

  • yesssss its so wierd

  • the music at 2:40 gives me the chills.

  • i dont mind it at all, it gives me motivated to take this enemy out. i love it. its telling you to prepare your self for this enemy.

  • I always loved this level, it was all "Blow everything the F*ck up!" Type of stage, almost like doom!

  • i think the old star fox is harder

  • Good job!

  • if they remade this level it would be 10x better than area 6.

  • I had an idea that if I designed a Star Fox game (kinda a mesh of levels from the original game, Star Fox 2 and Star fox 64), I would add a Space Armada level. But I'd probably place it as part of the defenses near Venom (kind of like a compromise between Bolse and a souped-up Area 6 in terms of difficulty).

  • Heh, even when I fisrt played this work of art called a game, I always wondered, "WTF kind of battleship opens it's doors to an enemy fighter?"

    :}

  • The... best damn ship in the Navy!

    *everyone raises beer mugs* YEAH!!

  • 1st 3d game

  • badasssssssssssssssssssss this has always been my favorite stage love the music best space fighting game ever.

  • fuck yeah, this level pwned, and the snes music still kicks ass.

  • Even though I was one stage away from this level, it looks like fun.

  • One of my most favorite levels of all time

  • Not only was this stage the shit but the music is epic. I loved this stage as well lol

  • Hell yeah, glad they put the feel in Brawl.

  • Falco: Bogey on my six..

  • Falco: "Eyes forward Fox!"

  • Yo Fox mind your own business, Ok? fag.

  • Falco: bogey on my six

  • YHIS SONG IS DA BOMB!!

  • This song is amazing!

  • One of my favorite songs featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

  • I used to play up to this level JUST for the music!

  • I like that level because going in to those ships and destroying the cores was fun.XD

That... boss, if it can so be called because it's so easy, reminds me of Bolse from 64, even though this came first.

  • This was my favorite level too... Man... Memories.

  • I also loved this level very much when I was younger! It definitely reminds me of the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi, especially when you have to go inside the spaceship at the end! Such an epic level! Oh yeah, this music is one of my favorites!

  • I always loved the music for this stage when I was younger, it fit the mood so perfectly, and to hear it coming back in Brawl is just awesome. I really hope they'll release this game on the VC someday. I would so download it in a heartbeat.

  • This stage had the best music in all the Starfox games...

The brawl remix is OKAY... but It could be better.

  • I think the Brawl remix did a perfect job, but still this one is freaking awesome too (and thats with SNES sound capabilities... wow xD )LOL god I loved this game. I felt it was so epic when I was a kid haha :D

  • I might be getting an SNES this weekend. If I do, I'm going to try to get this and Super Mario World for the system as well.

  • I love the song and the stage but it kinda reminds me of Area 6 on Star Fox 64(not the song but the stage) but the song on that stage is good to.

  • Yes, the stage reminds me of Area 6 and Sector Y in Star Fox 64.

  • teh awsums!

  • This is one of the best music tracks in any Starfox game. Period.

  • So this is where the music from Brawl comes from...

  • I don't recall this music being in brawl though

  • Oh, wait, nevermind, I haven't been to the Smash Dojo site in some time, I didn't know it was up there.

  • I LOVE the Brawl version of this level's theme.

  • This damn game has to be in the Wii. And dammit, I mean it.

  • Don't worry they'll get to it lol They could never leave out the original Star Fox off the virtual console!

  • Yeah, I was wondering why they didn't release Star Fox before Star Fox 64...

I enjoyed Star Fox Snes much more than 64!
