He's pretty good, not the best, but definitely not deserving of all the harsh comments. I'd like to see all these critics play something other than the radio. If you don't play an instrument you don't understand how much hard work and practice it takes to get anywhere close to being able to play like this. My favorite guitarist is Phil Keaggy. He's not the best either, but sure is talented beyond average.

The style sounds a bit like Emerson Lake and Palmer, very repetitive with complex rhythms that don't really say a lot, I don't think the melody has anything to it and it certainly doesn't show that he can play with any soul or feeling, in my eyes it is just boring.
