Fellas I have this on dvd in full, if there is any way I can help ya's tell me. Will hook you up. No charge, well unless you want to contribute to my broke ass. lol.. just kiddin.
I know they clashed back then because of these synthesizers, but you can't deny the fact that Eddie's synth DID inspire/influence DLR a little (pun intended) for the "A little ain't enough" track on his solo 1991 album. There's a small synth solo on that track around 2:50 where it sounds EXACTLY like the end credits instrumental song. Look it up.
this movie was suposed to be FAST TIMES 2 but they dropped the concept!! i think it had to do with the original writers & producers!! a lawsuit or something!!
The music when Lea Thompson is waiting for the cop is the intro from "Women in Love" (VHII) but not played in harmonics. This was a poor man's "Fast Times", right down to using Sean Penn's brother and his character's girlfriend's boob scene analagous to Phoebe Cates'. Still a fun 80's flick, I love the cable guy and his "Why so tense?" line to Eric Stoltz.
Was on cable last night, some of the music wasn't in. "Right Now" was in. Not sure if the "Good Enough' cue was in, and also missed if the VH piece was played when Lea is waiting for the cop. "Back to the Future' riff was almost gone. No music as Chris jumped out the window, but it played as he drove off. No music when Lea is in the car with her friend. "Mine All Mine" was replaced with a Hendrix song. "A.F.U" was in but the 1st 2 parts had a Prince song & Donut City. End credits music was in.
@fu2nbc Ugh don't remember. One of the HBO channels. Of all the things I wrote down I forgot to write which channel. I'm pretty sure it was channel 804, which is one of the HBO channels here on Brooklyn NY cable.
@tylerdurden3891 No HBO here so I missed. Will scan to see if replayed again so my buddy can record for me. Interested to see cuts/alterations to original. Thanks
Im dying to get the song that plays at 1:20 in it's entirety, and well every thing else besides Donut City and Ripley.I wish this stuff was released, it's great.
This movie was on HBO last night. 2/19/12. Keep a watch out for it? Van Halen

Guitarworld january 1997 Eddie terms his solo music for "The Wild Life" as "an abortion" hoping that it never resurfaces in his lifetime.
