I have the album...got it in the 80's. Heard it on KBCO-FM, Boulder and damn near wore it out.  Can't understand why it's never been reissued. The whole album is great.

I had searched for this periodically and always come up empty (couldn't remember the band name) until I found it today. Similar to others, I had not heard it since 1983. I remember it being one of the first songs ushering in the all-too-brief "Second British Invasion" for the U.S. during my college years and it's stuck with me all this time. It's amazing how well it has held up. There was an excitement in the air back then about this era in music that has not been duplicated since.

It's still fairly easy to find this album on LP fortunately. I managed to get my hands ona sealed copy and had a friend rip it for me using his DJ rig - not too bad. I had another friend with a $500 cleaner run it through his machine just before the transfer.

I'd like a remastered CD though too... this was fairly popular in Canada at that time...

This is one of the last non CD releases from the 80's that WEA owes the public. As far as I know this LP has NEVER been on CD. It is a personal favorite. This record was big in Boulder CO for a short time back when KBCO was one of the best radio stations in the world.

iirc it was a very well known singer or band from back in the day who were already famous, but put the tune out under this name.....

i remember asking elvis costello about this after a gig in manchester in 1982, i reckon i knew who was the singer, but he was non comittal

I hadn't heard this since the early 80s! I loved it & taped it off the radio, but the tape was lost & I never knew who the band was. Nobody else knew the song & it's never shown up on the 80s music revival stations I've listened to. Sometimes it randomly pops into my head even after all these years (it did the other night which is why I began another internet search for it). But I never heard it played again til just now! Great song, wish had CD & to see video! Thanks for posting!

@yarp7 The exact thing happened to me lol Had a recorded it off WDIZ Rock 100 in Orlando FL back in the days before they knew where to put New Wave/Modern songs so they mix them with the Dokken and Iron Maiden tunes lol

My best friend recorded this song from the radio here in Sweden but it´s a longer version and so very much better! Unfortunately the tape was lost. I think it must have been a "long play single" or whatever they called them? P-p-please has anyone got it and then please post it here on Youtube?!
