After reading the review, it sounded like you were insulting the people who liked it. Only fanboys or people who like shitty games will like it? Bullshit! Is it wrong to actually like this game? Fan Haters are the lowest of internet reviewers. That's why nobody likes The Spoony One or The Distressed Watcher.

To me, the later Kingdom Hearts games are kinda like Duke Nukem Forever, a guilty pleasure. I accept it's flaws and I can totally understand why people don't like them.

I have one small complaint about your review, some parts did drag on for a little bit, but other than that great review. I look forward to reading more. :)

You know, when you make a review, it tends to help when you actually play through the entire game and take the time to learn about the story and game itself. This feels more like a "I hate this game 'cause it's stupid and they did stupid stuff and yeah" rather than an actual review of the game with valid reasons of why it isn't a good game.

Maybe it's just me who thinks that, I dunno.

@TheMountainMew Actually let's analyze this, she spent a good 11 hours on the game and the 11 hours she did spend was a period of time she hated. That can affect the outcome of a review, which is an opinion on something, what would playing through the entire game really accomplish beyond the fact that she didn't play through Terra and Aqua's storyline?

- Who gives a fuck about them? You're playing a game in which there's characters you don't know. So find out about them

- You're chosen to wield the keyblade, you train to become a master, having the keyblade doesn't make you a master.

- Vanitas looks like Sora, because he shared his heart with Ven when it was broken. And then Vanitas was ripped out, and then resembled an older version of Sora. (flimsy, I know, but it's fantasy)

- The unversed appear (I assume) because Vanitas is part of the key to the heart of all worlds, and can spread his reach to all the worlds. (again, flimsy, but it's a fantasy story)

I like your righting style, but you sound too much like a combination of Spoonyone and NC.

But I do disagree with a lot of what you said about the story. A lot of the arguments that you bring up were explained, either in A) The other character's arc. B) In previous games. C) or they just straight up tell you. And you not playing through all the stories seems a little unfair, I mean, if you're going to review a game, play the whole thing.

I'm not going to lie: I don't agree with you. But it's okay, because I respect your opinion. I can see why someone wouldn't like the story. Hell, even some like me, a gargantuan Kingdom Hearts fanboy thought the story was a bit...loose sometimes. That's a long as fuck review, good job! :D

@NostalgicSince2005 I can't disagree with that anymore. Why should you prioritize anything of importance when putting out something that's supposed to be entertaining? Why not deliver a mixed bag of goodies? Gameplay being the number priority in something is an opinion, as is KH BBS's gameplay being good. I found BBS's controls and camera clunky, difficult to work with, and frustrating.

I thought Birth by sleep was pretty decent. Nothing fantastic. it obviously has some problems, but by no means do I think it sucks. From reading your review, I don't really see how you think the game sucks either.The Camera was pretty bad but not to the point where it affected my experience with progressing through the game. I thought the leveling up system was also pretty bad, but I wouldn't say the leveling system in FFVII through XIII was hard to understand at all (except for VIII and XII)

To anyone who thinks the KH story is great let it be known that I too hate the Kingdom Hearts series beyond the first game, why? Because in an RPG a plot is VERY important, I play RPG's for the story and if the story is bad, like it is in the majority of Kingdom Heart's games, that can heavily affect someone's opinion on the outcome. To say these games are great because you have to "throw logic out the window" or "just for the gameplay" is silly, too many other factors can impact a game.

and I stopped reading after the first paragraph sorry darkangel but to say any of the KH's games are bad, I completely and humbly 100% disagree.

and personally the 1st KH's was my least favorite it just felt slow and stiff. It was more or less a montage to Disney up until hollow bastion.

and while a good attempt I think they did their best in KH2. of course if your a Disney fan i can see how you would like the first one above the others.

Aside from that KH2 is where i believe it shines.
