I was just saying this on another video! I had never thought about it before...and reading Gabaldon's description of Claire, I never could see a face for her...and then I happened to see a photo of Keri and just thought, "That's HER!!!" Keri is perfect! She's got natural looks, hair that can look wild but still beautiful, and she is one of the most talented, underrated actresses out there right now. She's also at the perfect age to play both a younger Claire and the older Claire.

Keri Russell would make a wonderful Claire! I wish more would get their heads around her. Claire is the main character and so many are looking at weaker actresses that in my opinion are to attractive... Claire is pretty but back then they were a rough pretty! And Keri pulls off "Smart" easily

This is the best choice I've seen so far for Claire. I've always envisioned Claire as not being extremely beautiful, but pretty and hearty. You think about what she goes through and it would take a strong, solid, woman to pull that off.  Some of the other choices I've seen are way to skinny, scrawny even.

A) In this day and age you are not going to find a actress in Hollywood who has the same body type as Claire. Whatever actress they do get will *gasp* have to put on a few extra pounds to achieve Claire's body.

B) Claire does not have black hair and she is not road-worn.

I'm sorry to say but the only thing that remotely has a resemblance between Claire and Keri Russell is her Curly Hair.

Stana Katic is my Hands down Choice for Claire. she is bad ass enough, she looks english/french and is from Ontario. her and Kevin McKidd would be amazing on screen together.

Also, NO OLD PEOPLE TO PLAY THESE YOUNG ROLES! RACHIEL WIESE IS 39 and GERALD BUTLER is 40. They are NOT very convincing as 20 year olds! Its easy to make young actors look old but its hard to make old actors look young. Its not convincing at all!

YES! I have been saying Keri Russel for a long while now. She is the perfect Claire. Who cares if Keris skinny? Is it impossible to gain weight? I don't think so! Keris not going to be in a bikini for the role, they can pad her waist if shes too skinny. She has a 1940s look about her and she looks young enough to play the role. I happen to think shed look perfect with Chris Hemsworth as Jamie. Hes 63, mid twenties with blue cat eyes plus hes gorgeous.

she really looks like claire :). but i think she need to be a bit "thicker", because claire got about 65kg and keri probably got 60. i don't like this "the thinner the better" trend :S. well.. nevermind. the music's great!

YES YES Keri is definatelllllllly Claire! Perfect choice - -I could never see her face in my mind and then you showed her to me. I love Gerry Butler but not as Jamie; in fact I can't see Jamie's face either....but I love the whole series (so far) I have then on CD and on my computer and listen way too much...
