  • Fantastic video, while for an experienced GM this video wasn't quite as useful for me I completely endorse this kind of video. I'd love to see more GMs doing different things with monsters and having more unexpected stories, especially in games like D&D where it would be great to see someone doing a game that's not focused on killing monsters in their traditional habbitats.

  • @TornadoCreator Thanks for the kind words!

  • a lich is great but not if it just starts out like that, maybe you run across a wizard in process of becoming the lich, the process is really long. How about u know a Gandalf type guy and he's guiding u through an adventure but ends up just using u to gather what is needed to become a lich, idk

  • @odin422 That's a rather good idea. Benefactor turns to villain is always a nice touch.

  • @clackclickbang Yeah you think you know Gandalf but it turns out to be Sauroman, haha

  • @odin422 Christopher Lee is always scary.

  • wow that intellect devorer thing gave me a great idea for my campaign in a few days

  • @LegitBacKd00rNiNJa69 I'm glad! Good stuff.

  • You are correct. It is pronounced "kye-tin-ous."

  • @felisleo101 Thank you!

  • Very interesting! I got some plans about the Devourer. My party might encounter a village with strange acting people..

  • @Komeister Excellent idea!

  • lol, Gentleman... your review of the monsters and the art was superb! And your take on the Rhemorhaz was quite creative. I think I may use ideas like this in an upcoming Pathfinder game I am running. I look forward to seeing your take on Bestiary 2. =)

  • @BlackHorsePaladin It'll be up in a few days time no doubt.

  • Great job, the art is excellent in that book to be sure. I'm suprised the Int Devourerer is OGL.

  • @woodwwad Well I wasn't sure either. I was surprised it made the bestiary anyway.

  • @clackclickbang I always thought it was a neat monster.

  • Totally agree, the Bestiary graphics are superb and they really did a great job there. About the Rhemorhaz, I firth thought about a pet for a giant that helps him smithing, even though I'm a bit currious how this relationship really would work out in a game :). The intellect devourer really sounds like an awesome evil monster, and again I have to agree, would make a great mastermind. Even though I would have it percess a baker/cook and atempting it to poisen the city with a sleeping poison ^^

  • @Tschenggo Glad you're in agreement! Your baker idea is a rather good one.

  • LoL When the moon hits your eye like a big hot bug, It's Rhemorhaz, It's Rhemorhaz.

    I'm sold.

  • @DirtyBriefcase Bells will ring, ding-a-ling-a-ling, ding-a-ling-a-ling and we'll sing intellect devourer..

  • Looking fetching as ever in a tie. :)

I want to get the second volume.

I have a 1E era intellect devourer lead miniature sitting on my desk. Along with a giant slug lead miniature. Old school baby!

I had a neutral lich in an old 2E campaign. He ran a large island nation. Most of it was wild. But the rest was a vast plantation and necromancy school. He was the bread basket of a nearby nation. his work force had a very low overhead...

Remorhaz are cool. :) What can you harvest from the corpse? :)

  • @tetsubo57 Why thank you!

The second volume is better than the first... My video about it will be uploaded in a few days no doubt.

    A lead intellect devourer? Superb!

That's a rather interesting idea for a lich. I may steal it.

I will think on the harvesting opportunities from a remorhaz, but I expect it's heated heart and chitinous plates would be useful at the very least.

  • "Oh my god this brain's trying to crawl inside my mouth." This was great there's a lot of cool monsters that I've been wanting to put into play but they're just so hard to fit in, Remorhaz being one of them.

  • @Azartusfar I'm a big fan of the Remorhaz. Unfortunate that I picked the lich as a random monster, but that's the way random goes.

  • I like Liches (?) to.

  • @Azartusfar Liches? Or is the plural just lich? Liche? Lichen?

  • Well you did pronounce them as Liches =/
