Fantastic video, while for an experienced GM this video wasn't quite as useful for me I completely endorse this kind of video. I'd love to see more GMs doing different things with monsters and having more unexpected stories, especially in games like D&D where it would be great to see someone doing a game that's not focused on killing monsters in their traditional habbitats.
a lich is great but not if it just starts out like that, maybe you run across a wizard in process of becoming the lich, the process is really long. How about u know a Gandalf type guy and he's guiding u through an adventure but ends up just using u to gather what is needed to become a lich, idk
lol, Gentleman... your review of the monsters and the art was superb! And your take on the Rhemorhaz was quite creative. I think I may use ideas like this in an upcoming Pathfinder game I am running. I look forward to seeing your take on Bestiary 2. =)
Totally agree, the Bestiary graphics are superb and they really did a great job there. About the Rhemorhaz, I firth thought about a pet for a giant that helps him smithing, even though I'm a bit currious how this relationship really would work out in a game :). The intellect devourer really sounds like an awesome evil monster, and again I have to agree, would make a great mastermind. Even though I would have it percess a baker/cook and atempting it to poisen the city with a sleeping poison ^^
I have a 1E era intellect devourer lead miniature sitting on my desk. Along with a giant slug lead miniature. Old school baby!
I had a neutral lich in an old 2E campaign. He ran a large island nation. Most of it was wild. But the rest was a vast plantation and necromancy school. He was the bread basket of a nearby nation. his work force had a very low overhead...
Remorhaz are cool. :) What can you harvest from the corpse? :)
"Oh my god this brain's trying to crawl inside my mouth." This was great there's a lot of cool monsters that I've been wanting to put into play but they're just so hard to fit in, Remorhaz being one of them.

@odin422 That's a rather good idea. Benefactor turns to villain is always a nice touch.

@clackclickbang Yeah you think you know Gandalf but it turns out to be Sauroman, haha

Great job, the art is excellent in that book to be sure. I'm suprised the Int Devourerer is OGL.
woodwwad 11 months ago
@woodwwad Well I wasn't sure either. I was surprised it made the bestiary anyway.

@clackclickbang I always thought it was a neat monster.

Looking fetching as ever in a tie. :)
I want to get the second volume.

@tetsubo57 Why thank you!
The second volume is better than the first... My video about it will be uploaded in a few days no doubt.
A lead intellect devourer? Superb!
That's a rather interesting idea for a lich. I may steal it.
I will think on the harvesting opportunities from a remorhaz, but I expect it's heated heart and chitinous plates would be useful at the very least.

@Azartusfar I'm a big fan of the Remorhaz. Unfortunate that I picked the lich as a random monster, but that's the way random goes.

I like Liches (?) to.
Azartusfar 11 months ago
@Azartusfar Liches? Or is the plural just lich? Liche? Lichen?
clackclickbang 11 months ago
Well you did pronounce them as Liches =/
