  • Jasmine's voice. DANG!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • OMG i loved this ! french sound so beautiful ! im from finland and this is now one of my fav whole new world version.. first is finnish(because i have used to it since i was a child) then this and then english :)

  • I speak french i can tell that the tranlation is a litttle off but not trying to mean but if your going to do a song in french you might want to have the CORRECT words

  • no offence to the other language translations of their "A Whole New World" but this has got to be the closest to the original English version.

  • I really like their voices in the French version, tres bien :) Can you people do me a favor? Could you please help me? I'm trying to learn French & I'm desperately in need of some help. Merci becoup in advance ;)

  • Without knowing that its Jasmin singing, i would have thought it was a blonde spoiled girl in some new cartoon

Meaning: the voice doesnt fit her :)

  • PAOLO DOMINGO !!! xxx I love you ;-) Je t'aime !!!

  • My aunt knows the person who did Jasmin in the english version they're friends

  • @loutusblosm

    cool.. are you famous now?

  • @thelulu505...

  • I understand canadians who find Karine Costa has a beautiful voice but too young because she has 14 years old when she recorded the song. Jasmine in history will be 16 so it is logical. Paolo Domingo is perfect for the character and had a voice hot and romantic. The fight on youtube is frequently for exemple latino americans and spanish: each of them think that their version is better. All versions have the magic of Disney even if the French are my favorite because I grew up with PEACE!!

  • @hastalavictoria78

Oh believe me, the fight is also between portuguese and brazilian people -.- They're always talking about the accent u.u DUDE, ALL THE VERSIONS ARE GOOD!

sometimes i just wanna say "SHUT UP AND ENJOY!" X3

    Peeeace!

  • I can see that they really tried to follow the "vers mesures a l'antique" thought of the renaissance. It's very good :DDD

  • I really love the french language in song <333333333333

  • question: isn't cheveux 'hair' and chefeux (not sure about the spelling) 'horse'? they sound almost identical but i think 'horse' would make more sense than 'hair'.

  • @americasaddlebredlvr 'Cheveux' means 'hairs', yes, but "chevaux" (not "chefeux") means "horses"

  • @Kahashk Huh. I knew there was a difference but I didn't know it was spelled like that. Thanks. That'll come in useful for me, I'm sure.

  • @americasaddlebredlvr "Hair" in french "Cheveux". "Hairs" in french "Poils" and "Horse/Horses" in french "Cheval/Chevaux"

  • @heartoftheocean100

So have I! It's amazing how different the meaning of a song can be between different languages. I only speak English and a bit (as in a very tiny bit) of French, but I love listening to different languages. I don't know why. Maybe I just like the different sounds.

  • @bricksailor93

Recently I've been trying to learn French, and this helps me a bit. I honestly love this version even though the

meaning of the song is so different here.

  • never understood how they stayed on the magic carpet upside down but still love this sng in french <3

  • I really like Jasmine's voice here, about as good as Lea Salonga in the English version.

I've been going around Youtube and looking up Disney songs in other languages because it's so interesting to hear another interpretation of the song even if I don't speak the language

  • what the hell does blue dream mean lol

  • His voice makes me melt. xD

  • Tres Tres Bien :)

  • Ever heard the swedish one? Is way much better! :) according to moi!

  • 6 dislikes. r u fuckin kidding me?

  • i grew up with all the disney movies in french ( i'm belgian ) and this almost made me cry, the nostalgia that lies in these disney songs... it will always remind me of the awesome times when i was a little child :) what i would give to return to that time... goddammit

  • J'MAPPELLE JASMINE! :D

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING BOTH TRANSLATIONS!!

  • 5 people dont like french Aladdin's voice...

    Souvenirs... ^^

  • Thank you for the upload...

Just thought you might appreciate some constructive criticism :

When they sing "Naviguons dans le temps.......et vivons ce reve...."

The correct translation is "LET'S navigate....." and " LET'S live...."

(In french, if a verb ends with "ons" WITHOUT "nous" in front of it, it means "let's.."

    e.g: "Nous organisons"="We (are) organise(ing)" BUT "Organisons"="Let's organise!"

    Hope that helps! :-)

  • @ammarios Thanks man! I am trying to write my first scientific paper in French and noticed a lot of these constructions in the literature...

  • mauvaise traduction... Bad translation...

    beaucoup d'erreurs

  • @ericetzebulon blabla you brag a lot don't you, why don't you upload something similar yourself?

    You irritate me terribly :)

  • @ericetzebulon It's pretty old. I don't claim it to be perfect.

  • @aquatius It's well translated, you made some mistakes, but little. Congratulation, it's not easy ;)

  • @aquatius It's pretty good! Just few mistakes only, and it's normal because it's quite complicated to translate those lyrics, it's all metaphors and hard stuff so good job and don't listen to other stupid people xD

I think jasmine's voice is more pretty and young... but both versions are very great.

Il aurait dû mettre "It's forbidden to still believe in happiness"

N'empeche, celle sur "On the hairs of the world" m'a bien amusee :))

  • @sun1010smile lol oui moi aussi. En ce qui concerne "I feel like I'm flying" c'est vrai qu'en y pensant, peut-être que pour les anglais cela sonne mieux :)))

  • @sun1010smile oups désolé il avait corrigé Hairs/Horses ^^

  • @ericetzebulon Probably because your English sucks. It's very well translated.

  • @hnarjis Yes it's well translated but he made some mistakes ;)

  • @ericetzebulon

  • Just listen to the spanish (from Spain) version of this song, Aladdin's voice is so hot in that one.

  • could you post the lyrics in the description?

  • (2:05) It isn't "hair" but "horses" and not "Sur les cheveaux du monde" (On the horses [not hairs] of the world) is "Sur les cheveaux du vent" (On the horses of the wind) but very good translation :)

  • belle

  • I like when Jasmine sings. 8)

  • Aladiin for Macaroons !!! Sigh...

  • Damn, french is hot. (Y)

    -Denmark.

  • French is a beautiful lanugage. beautiful.

  • My favourite version of "a whole new world" is the French (European) one, even better than the original English one! But you have to know french to completely appreciate it.. the Lyrics are as magic as the music is.

  • @HaideRjuna I agree, French is lovely!! I wish I were more fluent in speaking it. I also think when you grow up listening to one version you'll always remain partial to it. For me, this version is beautiful but there is something extra magical about the original version, because that's the one I grew up with. It's probably the same for you and this version.

  • @HaideRjuna

The spanish (european spanish) version is great too

  • @HaideRjuna For some reason people believe that the french Jasmine has too high pitched voice. Not my opinion, but I guess I can understand that opinion. As for your statement. I second that.

  • I like this version

  • @sunshineinyoureyes03 Uh, sorry, what do you mean?

  • @sunshineinyoureyes03 I don't know what you mean by aslope but what I mean is that she doesn't hold the note longer than the original does (I feel), like "...it's crystal clear! That now I'm in a whole new world with you (hold note)" "(Aladin) Now I'm in a whole new world with you!" But that's the only place I noticed it. *shrug*

I really like the sining part where she's flying with the birds. She sounds GREAT there (to me). :D

  • @sunshineinyoureyes03 Oh! The boy has a very calm yet sweet voice throughout the song, but the girl (to me) isn't as consistent. There are times where her voice just POPS, when it's awesomely sweet, and there are others where she breaks off the note. It's a wonderful dub though. I sing it once a month, at least. ^^

  • i'm learning to sing it so i can practice my french R. haha.

J'adore. <3

  • Jasmine's french voice is beautiful <3 <3

    French..what a language! <3

  • I actually prefer the German one to this, but just slightly. I think this is lovely too.

  • Ok one of the best covers.

  • This is the 100th video in my favorites, jsyk. This is like... like ear sex to me, seriously.

  • Spotless translation bar maybe two lines

  • French is the best language ever for such romatic songs. italian can be good too but not as much as french. english is neutral, can sound good but not as much as french and italian. and normally german is the worst wen it comes to romatic somgs in general. german is very good though for aggressive songs.

  • @accoOOOOOOOO I have to disagree. I am fluent in German & English though my native language is Spanish. I love languages in general. I can also understand some Russian, Italian & French. I believe most languages sound pretty once you get accustomed to the sounds. I have heard romantic songs in many languages, and I like them all. But then again, what sounds pretty is very subjective. That's what music and poetry is all about and practically all languages have them.

  • @martinbeco granted but i agree that as u said everything is subjective....what i said in my comment reflects the general opinion...doesnt mean that everyone agrees with that conclusion, but the majority would probably do. French is agreed to be one of the most, if not the most, romantic langauges on earth due to its soft sounds and flowing rythm...cheers

  • @accoOOOOOOOO It is all subjective. For example, I don't like the sound of French at all, really. I prefer Italian, English, Arabic, Spanish, and even Chinese over French, but many people will disagree. No harm there. In the end, I always love English the most, no matter what languages I hear. :)

  • @Hammergunshipping Agree with you it's all subjective each people has his own opinion. I LOVE Japanese/Chinese/Korean language it's sound good for my ears, I like Italian but I HATE Russian, German and I hate English too that's why you can not find on my Ipod any English song.

    btw I'm French.

  • I've watched so many of these multilanguages, I don't even remember how the voices were in English! XD

Japanese: Guy made me MELT, Girl was nice

    French: Both are nice

    English: ...

    Yeah, it's like that. XD

  • American cartoon about Arabians who speak French. OMG!!! Inglorius Bastards-2?

  • Beautiful☆(^^)

  • I like how i understood that french...

  • Personally, I don't like this version. I feel Jasmine sounds too much like a child and not a young woman. I think the French Canadian version is better in terms of lyrics and emotion. :) That's just my opinion though.

  • Comment removed

  • This version is better than the English. The French Aladdin can actually hold a note.

  • I like this version, but latin american spanish is my favourite, jasmin sings so beautifuly :D

  • His voice is very nice. I don't really like hers though.

  • Im french and I have to say having seeing it in both french and english..its sounds so much better in french! so much more magic and soft. In general cartoons sounds better in french! cest merveilleux!! vive le francais =)

  • French is so gorgerous...I take Spanish in school but ya know.

  • I quite like these lyrics better than the original. "This Blue Dream." How beautiful.

  • aladdin en francais, c'est tres beau!

  • The girl's voice in this kinda annoys me... too munchkin-sounding for my liking. But overall, a great song :]

  • the japanese one is great too!

  • I miss Jasmine's little scream in the beginning like in the English version :[

  • C'est tres belle! I am not French.

  • Comment removed

  • C'est magnifique! J'adore, vraiment, je fais!

  • I'm Portuguese and i love hear people skeaking french, it seems like a langue that sing when talked, but when is sang becames so much less beautiful. Isn't it ?

  • @1katty3 No, it isn't... :)

  • Sur les chevaux du monde = on the hairs of the world? (=sur les cheveux du monde)

    ^^

  • @celinemoon mdrrrrrr

  • DAMN ALADDIN'S VOICE IS DAMN SEXY IN ANY LANGUAGE XD

  • Jasmine's voice is too sweet, makes her sound too younger, like she is 15 or something, and that made me think bad of Aladdin xD hahaha like he was taking advantage of a little girl LOL

  • @StephiGereRothThyne well in the movie jasmine is 16 and aladdin is like 17 or 18, is that so bad?

  • Very nice; I think this one is better than the French Canadian one also

  • c'est quel pays aladdin???

  • Jasmine's voice is so cute and beautiful at the same time. My favouirte Jasmine so far:D

  • chirst, aladdin's voice sounds fine! very calming...such a pretty language.

(Was that correct? It's been years since French 3.)

  • @animls4ever You love me? :D

  • lmfao

  • @aquatius Apparantly she/he does =D

  • @animls4ever I think it's supposed to be "JE L'AIME" (as in I love *this*). Because "Je t'aime" means I love *you*.

  • @animls4ever it's correct.

  • C'est tres tres belle! That's pretty much the extent of my french, but its really beautiful anyway. A romantic song for a romantic language.

  • haha she knew who he was the moment he asked "do you trust me"

  • Jasmine's voice is so beautiful ! The best version ever !

  • can you email me the link of how i can get this song? pls and ty!!

  • Ah, I can more-less understand everything they're saying.

  • jasmin singing in french has the best voice outta all of them!

  • This is soo beautiful ♥

  • Ohmigod, who sings as aladdin?! I adore his voice *swoon*

  • Excellent quality and translation with both this one and the German version. Merci beaucoup!

  • I like the lyrics of the verse when she says 'in the crystal sky' i like that verse more than the english version

  • Nothing beats Norwegian version

  • By far the best version

  • oui oui:) out of all the languages this is the best one.

  • aww and aladin's so cute at the end, you can tell he's so happy to be with her <3 xD

  • the female singers are always better than the male singers in all the versions i've watched ^ ^

  • paris is the coty of love so i guess that french should be the langage of love and this song expresses it perfectically

    Jasmine : Quoi ??!

Aladdin : Vous avez confiance en moi !?

    Jasmine : Oui...

  • Merci!

  • this version´s the most romantic, I just watched italian one, it was HORRINLE , it wasn´t sweet, it was very ´´strong``

  • @Artigarius Funny, I liked the Italian version. The Czech is pretty terrible, though.

  • @Artigarius german is worse both voices are awful

  • @je6k7 I completely disagree but you're entitled to your own opinion.

  • @aquatius first of all thanks for not assaulting me people keep fighting whenever they have different point of view and i'm glad to see that people can disagree without being impolite. My comment was a bit harch though, the voices aren't awful, to my opinion they could have been better and it's not my favorite version. have a nice day

  • @aquatius Korean one is the worst! Dutch is bad too!

  • @Artigarius e prefer the brazilian version, it enchanted me :)
