Thank you for your imput "yougovernorgeneral", but to my research, this was placed into the constitution that was drafted in Buckingham Place and was accepted by the representatives of the Independence party unbehalf of the people, and not chosen by the people, not by election nor a referendum. So it was not really done democratically. Nonetheless, I believe that the Constitution should be reviewed and ammended periodically without the need of a referendum (like every 10 or 25 years).
It a Democratic choice of the People - YOUR Choice!
If YOU wanted to change the Constitution it could be changed to reflect a totally SOVEREIGN Constitution like the Sovereign State of Trinidad & Tobago which has a President - not a Governor General!
Remember that the Feudal days are gone!
It is YOUR voice that now counts...
PS I think you made a typo in the spelling of the name of the GG.
why do we need a representative of the queen in Antigua? ( rhetorical question ) this is some throw back to the early colonial days.....Antiguans should stop this british nonesense!

@tls2156 - It might have something to do with the fact that the nation of Antigua only exists thanks to the "colonial days" and "British nonsense".
