  • those players have nothing on Brazilian percussion drummers and woluld be completely confused with the Brazilian drum beat techniques.

  • 3:48 Same guy as Glee Flashmob in Seattle?

  • Love it! do good ny

  • I think this is pretty cool.Would love to witness a flash mob like this.Did anyone else notice that John Stamos (actor) was in the crowd watching. You can see him just before the lady with the gold lamé comes out.

  • That is amazing. While the other seven billion folks were doing their thing, these folks did this. Thank you so much. :) =^.^=

  • Aw, it's nice to see the cast of Stomp getting work again.

  • some of us just wish we got paid to be in this "flash mob"...

it'd be nice to take a momentary break from life to do something that pays rather than costs and is different from the typical routine.

  • Well At Least they are having fun id love to get paid to have fun in NY lol this is hot, the world or in other words America needs more of this, keep the world happy this is awesome, hoping for more of these to come!

  • anyone else get this as a random commercial is now hooked on flash mobs?

  • Who cares if wells fargo footed the bill. That was cool.

  • I saw that in Friends with Benefits movie, actually that brought me here :) i thinks its awesome, but of course when its not set up or paid to do :) Sorry for my English :)

  • I saw that in the Friends with Benefits movie , and it brought me here :) I think its awesome, but of course if its not set up, or paid to do :) sory for English

  • i hate that you always make commercial the few things that this country own

  • at 2:00 kinda looks like my teacher lol

  • ever wonder how much easier break dancing would be if everyone attatched furniture sliders to their hands?

  • The T-shirt colors changed from blue and green to red, just as Wachovia's blue and green changed to Wells Fargo's red. Clever!

  • I love it! Wish I had been at Times Square when they made it! This is one of the best Broadway songs ever!!!!

  • @threehens232 what song is it? i have a feeling it's from A Chorus Line, am i correct?

  • I love the guys in the trenchcoats at 0:30...they're like "Dude, these guys are good! Let's go rob the bank!!" :D

  • NOT a flash mob; a cheap way to get international attention for WF.

  • Great job, it's similar to what T-Mobile did 2 years ago at Heathrow airport or Liverpool station but theirs was 10x cooler!!!

  • love it!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • you have more videos like this?

  • Ironic that this was done on our son's 10th bday ... I've always remembered that he was 5 months old on September 11th!! Still amazed with the human spirit displayed after 10 years!!! You're all AMAZING!!!

  • Only In New York An it looks like every ethnicity was represented i miss new york

  • Damn if I was there I would've samba danced right next to them lol

  • Absolutely fabulous. Anything that makes you smile on a winter day in Times Square

    is worth it.

  • Needs MORE COWBELL!

  • Out of synch....FAIL!!

  • wow!

  • LOL this took me back to my highschool days and watching the fellas dane like that on cardboard. Great stuff.

  • As someone who actively participates in Flash Mobs and have been doing so for years I'm totally ok with calling this a Falsh Mob. In all of the events I've done you have to have permits to do it, with the cooperation of the operations staff of the particular location. All the Mobs we've done have been choreographed, we've had our camera crews and have even done them for recognizable artists, product names and popular shows.

  • sensational!

  • A bit fun but looks rather shabby. Couldn't a multi-billion dollar corporation come up with something a bit more professional looking. And, I agree with greenestanarchy, it really isn't a flash mob.

  • stunning in execution... can only happen in a vibrant city as NYC... bravo to all the wonderful souls who partook in this venture...

  • Nuestro sabor latino en N Y. Estupendo. Saludos desde Puerto Rico

  • Nice... although calling this a "flash mob" is entirely unwarrented.... this is a corporate marketing event, planned out to the point of entire camera teams in place, therefore licensing and permits in place, with even boom mikes in place to pick up the dancers singing... by all rights, I believe "flash mobs" are more, well, flashing in their nature, not carefully choreographed through the city permitting offices and multiple media outlets.

    Jus' Sayin'.

  • @LaserParody Yeah, nice commercial.

  • flash mobs are the best thing to come out of the "hipster generation" but it is leaps and bounds better then anything that came outta my own "gen x"

  • great and wonderful people....i love it !!

  • I love these things. Everyone is smiling.

  • Great performance.. Shout out to all my New Yorkers

  • 343 people jealous of NYc

  • Nice ......... :)

  • Absolutely Priceless !!

  • I want to be in a flash mob!

  • After countless PR disasters, Wells Fargo shoots for a cheap facelift by trying to ride the local culture. Great art though.

  • hmm

  • it's a good thing they aren't trying to do it at the jefferson memorial in DC or they would all have been arrested, and forcefully.

  • I am a transplanted New Yorker and it's times like these that I miss home....but I am now a Floridian. Was this really April 12, 2011? "Cause down south, we had 80 degree weather, but nevertheless, I love NY!!

  • My wife and I had a great time in New York and enjoyed the Wells Fargo peformance! We're the Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith look-a-likes in the audience!

  • That was terrific and enjoyed every minute of it. Those young people were outstanding and congratulate you on this video.

  • SHOSHANA BEAN IS A FABULOUS WOMAN

  • its amazing<3love it....

  • I thought this would be a flash mob of people sing "Wells Fargo Wagon" from The Music Man. But this was cool too :)

  • Who cares who paid for it, it's pretty cool to see a group get together and put on a free show in the middle of the street like that.

Looked like everyone there watching enjoyed it, and isn't that what it's all about?

  • @joetteka I agree.It doesn't say Wells Fargo on anybodys shirt,does it?

  • I can't believe 335 soreheads turned thumbs down on this... ad or not. (as of 5-25)

  • Love it!

  • THESE ARE SO MUCH FUN

  • follow me on twitter!! i am the female dancer at 4:00 :) @LadiiM80

  • What fun! We need to get a flash mob going here in Laguna Woods,Village, California!!

  • The real beauty of this is the street dancing and drumming.....the sadness is that they included CHORUS LINE....which is so BELOW this gifted bunch.....the choreography and music mundane...and diminished these gifted.

Don't hate....I am in the professional theatre scene on both coasts.

  • lovely

  • Typical example that in New York, the journey can often be more fun, exciting and spontaneous, than the destination! I now live in Florida, but I LOVE NEW YORK!

  • i actually dug this. until 1:51 didn't make it to 2:00

  • love flash mobs!

  • Wait, it's not the song from the Music Man? :(

  • Not a flash mob! Corporate con job. Wake up America!

  • I love this! and I love my wells fargo! so happy they are finally in THE BIG APPLE

    XOOXOXOXXOXOXOXOX

  • I don't get what that had to do with anything

  • This came up as a commercial when I was going to watch smosh. I never skipped it ;o

  • Flash Mobs are great fun, but they totally lose their charm when they are Corporate Sponsored -- Yes, I'm talking to you, Wells Fargo!

  • @WryterMike I dont see anybody wearing anything that says Wells Fargo.

  • Good

  • have to agree, not a flashmob. Great advertising for best buy and bubba gumps, though!

  • yeap...this is not a mob dance! however great talented dancers!

  • What a wonderful and exciting performance. Every city should allow things like this.

Thanks to Wells Fargo, to the performers, and to NYC for a great venue and show.

  • FUN! Thanks for sharing! I look forward to the next celebration!

  • Excellent!

  • hahaha Love that New York enthusiasm from the crowd at the end.........

  • mmm

  • so it wasn't a flashmob, big woop, still one of the best ads I've seen on Youtube. And I actually watched the whole thing instead of moving on to the video I wanted to see. Hopefully more ads will follow suit and attempt to entertain us instead of just push their name around... then maybe people wont be skipping them all the time

  • fail

  • why 300 dislikes? just cuz its not a flash mob? lol.

  • I just wanna dance, dammit!

  • How is this a flash mob if everybody is paid by Wells Fargo to do a planned performance in Time Square? People don't do Flash Mob's for billion dollar corporations.

  • @greenestanarchy the people who do flash mobs pay to be a part of the mob, not the other way around. and the definition of a flash mob is a sudden public performance done for entertainment. all dancing flash mobs have to be planned, dude

  • @greenestanarchy actually, yes they do.

  • @greenestanarchy How much were they paid? Or, were they paid in FUN?? :)dupree

  • @greenestanarchy Well obviously they do...cause I just watched them do it.

  • @greenestanarchy A large group of people entertained a large group of unsuspecting pedestrians. Regardless whether it was endorsed or not, I believe that qualifies them as a flash mob. If paid enough, people will do flash mobs for billion dollar corporations.

  • @greenestanarchy a flash mob is a misnomer than. The name suggests that it is a mob that appears and disappears in a flash. Which this is.

Just because they got paid doesn't make it any less cool.

  • @greenestanarchy

because they kinda just assumed nobody would have common sense to point it out. Afterall, americans don't have the reputation for it.

  • @eversadam

    are you kidding?

    100k?

  • Sweet!

  • Now THIS Is What The Cities About :) Randomly Breaking Out In Song & Dance

  • WACHOVIA!

  • They should have imported their street performers from San Francisco. :P

  • @eversadam Look at it this way, it could have been a boring commercial you missed while going to the kitchen to get a soda.

@dickmharter Not all street performers in NY are homeless, and some of them make decent money.

  • Looked like a lot of fun

  • i wonder how much the people in this got paid? i have a sneaking suspicion nothing. They were lured in with the whole 'flash-mob' craze to work for free on a corporate advert; "the amazing chance to be on a commercial!!". If anyone knows anymore details on this i'd love to know thanks and if i'm wrong then i'm sorry.

  • I don't think Wells Fargo gets flash mobs, they really don't mean anything when you have a multibillion dollar bank putting them together.

  • its brilliant distract the mob with magic HAHAHA

  • some of the worst b-boy skillz ever.

  • Goal: to be in a flash mob one day.

  • T-Mobile's was better :)

  • Corporate sponsored "flash mobs" are just plain cheesy

  • Shoshana Bean????? what??????

  • Saw this ad. Thought it was cool. Until I clicked it. And saw it was Wells Fargo. All cool points went out the window.

  • whats the song??

  • "Comment pending approval"? Who's would that be? And what might be deemed "disapproved" if written? ...Great event though. Looked like loads of fun for both audience and performers.

  • I was half expection the song to be "Wells Fargo Wagon" from "The Music Man" ...

  • This is freaky...even for Times Square.

  • Hundreds wondered where their trashcans went....

  • @h2omanz lol

  • @h2omanz "Hundreds wondered where their trashcans went...." LOL, and they all look the same, in a day where the type of trashcan that you use, is mandated.

  • could've been better

  • Dear Wells Fargo,

I have been a customer of yours for 5+ years. My first bank account was with you. I am still a customer. But this is ridiculous. You probably spent 100k on all of this and it was a complete waste.

How about you use that 100k and do something cool? Build an iPhone app that works! Build an iPhone app that let's me take pictures of checks and deposits them. Get with it quick or I am gone.

    -Adam

  • @eversadam Are you one of those people that resides in their basement periodically checking wells fargo website to see if there are any updates? And how do you know they got paid for this? How do you know where that money came from? why do you waste valuable YouTube space with useless comments that no one cares about? They money could've came from the owner. Why do you assume, when you do not know?

  • @eversadam boo no this was cool i bet it was even cooler if u were walking by and minding your own buisness when all of a sudden this happens

  • @eversadam

dont you think you exaggerated alittle there?

  • At least Wells Fargo cannot be deemed "Stuffy"! Hope they were performing right in front of a CHASE Bank!

  • When that guy started breakin' I felt like I was ready to open a checking account!

  • Don't placated by petty offerings! Demand an end to corporate personhood! Rise up and smash the slavers!

  • Hey guys I uploaded a vid of me doin a dance in my living room hope you all can watch, comment, and thumbs up!

  • Well at least the performance didn't say anything about Wells Fargo to the public. I'm not thrilled with these corporate things, but if they're going to do it; let the people find out about it later when it's promoted through media like t mobile did in England. At least they didn't photo bomb New Years Eve like Nivea did with all those stupid hats in Time Square. All over the world they had amazing celebrations and then they cut to New York and all I see is a bunch of greasy teenagers in hats.
