Yes yes I know it wasn't all that great but that wasn't our best at all. We can play much better than that, well not really becaues most of the REALLY good people left! Now it's 1/8th good. But we did get a 1 at OMEA this past month.
Having 'perfect' pitch, I ask why is it being played in the key of 'D' major at the beginning? Tschaikowsky wrote it in 'E' major. I played the entire 18+/- minutes in the original key in Jr. High in 1965. Our orchestra at Wilson Jr. High in Philadelphia, PA was made up mostly of students of Philadelphia Orchestra members, myself included. We went on to NorthEast High. At that time, we had the top award winning orchestras at both schools. It IS a difficult piece of music. Great challenge!

Having played this peice as my first symphony in a Youth Orchestra, I think that this is a great accomplishment for you guys.
