brilliant - remember seeing this back between 83-85 - inspired me to make my own lightning flash shaped guitar out of chipboard, a bit of pine and some cut up wire coat hanger. It didn't work, but was about the same league of the guitar that was being mimed on in the video - don't think they would have cut it amongst the bandds that were about to charge onto the scene.

It's worth mentioning that this vid dates back to the early 80's and was produced without any major backing. Wrathchild UK were formed before Motley Crue and were forerunners of this genre.

This is classic - don't think I had ever seen this video back in the day. I bought this album like five times back in the day, because they released in on different colored vinyls and picture discs. Love this whole album. Would love to see it get slightly remixed, remastered and re-released. Looking forward to the new album, love the clips I have heard, but wish Rocky was still in the band.

I don't think Motley Crue or WASP or any of those other bands did rip off Wrathchild...not musically. But when bands like Crue and WASP formed they were mostly in jeans and T-shirts (go and find there early vids on youtube)

WC claims they did it first cuz they were around before crue, but their image was glam, not sleaze glam when they first came out. it's a common thing underground bands say when they were around in the same era to look noble.
