  • I'm 54 and what a story I could tell about growing up with his music. The 1960's oh yea...

  • When I was a kid and heard this stuff all the time, I didn't appreciate it enough. This music brings back memories...

  • I agree wholeheartedly ... !!!

  • A great human being who made the life worth living !

  • very very nice, lovely version

  • This song reminds me of that creepy Silent Hill/I-must-find-presents-to-buy-or-die-trying feeling that one experiences whilst wandering around a used up and uncaring shopping mall, trying to find the least battered and least worthless looking gifts late on Christmas eve.

It never seems to matter the next day, but those few last hours left to search are the most empty and stressful collection of minutes on Santa's earth....evah!

  • @MoorLetoh lol that's a new interesting perspective.

  • bellsssima .

  • Some how I feel it would have turned out to be another nice cover version if Aneka would have sung this song. If viewers are not aware who Aneka is then just try recollecting her "Japanese Boy" song.

  • This guy could do amazing things with any song.

  • I remember my first puppy love with this song...how it brings back memories of grade school...

  • dancing away

  • Sounds a bit mechanical.

  • Great song!!! Percy was one of a kind, and missed.

  • The late Ricky Nelson sang this little number, when the U.S. was transitioning into the rock 'n' roll era

  • Another sentimental and highly moving masterpiece , from the "Era Gone Bye "

Love to all who enjoy this truly delightful musical work of art ..................

  • Sweet as the lyrics. :))

  • gorgeous !

  • we played this song at music camp( practiced this song for 8 hours only)...it was the simplest and the most cheerful song amongst the rest of the songs we played!!! Luvv it!!!!!!!!

  • what a lovely song ! I remember plating these LP's visiting my grandparents in the 60's this song takes me back there to the mid 60's all over again, thank you for posting this classic !!

as I have grown older I have come to appreciate his music much more, Bravo !

  • I agree w/you-when I was younger I had an attitude about this type of music; however, as I get older I appreciate it much more.

  • 15 November today, my 8 month anniversary on youtube. This must be one of the first songs I searched for !

I've created over 220 playlists with nearly 3000 songs, but favorited fewer than 50 and this was one of my first.

Percy Faith is, indeed, one of the best arrangers ever. This music is magic ! !

  • It sounds like a carnival.

  • Thanks to the Cascades for this lovely piece that we all love, this arrangement by Percy Faith and his orchestra does justice to that.

  • At times this melody slightly reminds me of "pocahontas" movie song titled "colours of the wind" :) Does anyone else hear it?

  • I do actually. And the titles are similar. It's in a slightly higher key, but I totally agree with you. I bet the song inspired "Colors of the Wind". The pizz. sounds like the "Can you paint with all the colors of the wind" part and all the other ones with different lyrics haha.

  • Percy Faith gave the world some great music, that is timeless.

  • MUSIC FROM HEAVEN.

  • The haunting echo of those plucked string instruments created the most fantastic effect! Thanks for posting this.

  • Another great piece from Percy Faith is "Up on the roof" could you post it ?

  • There will never be another Percy Faith.his music never ages.

  • Yes, because he Composed music about feelings that almost everybody knows well. That's why his music will always be in our heart.

  • I so thoroughly second that. I don't even care for much of today's ersatz music, American Idol or no American Idol.

  • I agree with you on that friend.

  • You love music ,like I do.

  • I second that, and I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

  • awesome, like all of his material!

  • Sounds more like a train...........

  • He is by far one of the greatest composers/arrangers of his time! His music has shaped my life more ways than one! Fantastic human being indeed!

  • I agree with "itswagon" but I wonder about what the music mixer was thinking to put the snare drum so loud.

  • Que saudade!! Que belas músicas que ouvíamos.

Como é bom poder relembrar. Muito obrigado a quem colocou este vídeo aqui.
