I just installed mine and I must say shifting is much quicker. One problem I seem to have with it though is how the 1st and 2nd gear row seem so close to the middle row while the 5th and 6th gear row is further away. When I push my stick sideways it can't seem to go anywhere when Im pushing left but it's fine when I'm pushing right. Do you think I installed it correctly? Thanks

Just installed the Barton shifter and bracket in my 2011 5.0. Very pleased with the performance, the 2nd to 3rd shift is a dramatic improvement. There is more noise, but a good trade-off in my opinion for better performance. The hardest part of the installation for me was in getting the boot seated properly. As instructed in the Barton video, get the boot started around the reverse lock-out first, then work the boot around the rest of the shifter. Shifts are precise.
I just got this shifter with new bracket does rattle a lil but not big deal and clicks between shift not big deal kinda like the clicks but the reverse sucks kinda hard to get car and reverse I think mite been dust boot so I fixed it to how the instillation vid said did feel lil better but will c tomorrow when I drive it. I do like the more precise shifts n alot shorter!

Why do you need to remove that bracket under the car?

@LMBC6Brian
to allow room to remove the shifter since it has a large plate at the base

Barton makes a great quality short throw shifter. Precision machining & it fits 100% without issues.
