  • Let us get a CP update brother! thank you for transmitting your green thumb thru the youtube waves! and where on earth did you get a Dinotopia print (picture hanging in the background) !?!?!? almost as cool as your plants!

  • did the cuttings work?

  • Where did you get your ceph and can you make another video?

  • Thanks for the videos. I'm just getting started with CP's, and your videos are a great help. Nice job with lots of good info.

  • Good job! and like you I have many cephalotus follicularis, and one nice CzechGiant Form good luck!

  • do u have to give it rooting horomones for the leaves to grow?

  • @swamkip no they make leaves naturally during the winter.

  • I have been looking Everywhere for a Cephalotus without resorting to the internet and all the while I've reading everything I can find to make sure I'm able to keep it alive once I get one, but this is the first time I've heard someone go into such detail on the one thing I feared the most, HIBERNATION!

Now I actually Know that I have the ability to sustain one through hibernation. In the summer I've got the AC at night and in winter I've got cooler, shorter days.

    What about humidity?

  • @FullmetalAngyl Haha, glad I could help :)!

humidity during winter or summer? Don't worry about the humidity during winter, but Cephs are pretty hardy to be honist, they seem to come back from nothing so if yours ever dies back keep it. roots will often grow follage back :). Anyways average humidity for this plant should be kept at about 60-75%. That'll be fine :)

  • Fantastic

  • this use distilled water or rain water

  • Awesome,Ill hopefully be getting some carnivourous plants soon,My friend scott has tonnes of plants,Really interesting,Especially the carnivourous plants.Bye!

  • Hey thanks! Ya get into them, it's an awsome hobby!

  • great video! how do you make sure all of the plants get enough insects?

  • Thanks! Well technically it's not the best thing but I have a "self-sustaining" supply of fungus gnats in my green house. As you can probably see in many of my videos my plants do eat them. My pinguicula moranensis (Mexican butterwart) is always covered in them :P. lol. Keep in mind that bugs are only 1/4 of needs. Soil, light, water, are also key! Providing these 3 properly, you won't have to worry about giving your plant insects for a few months (if you can't find any). Hope this helps!

  • Nice video! 5 stars I just got one for christmas and its a lil' bit smaller than yours but it is still very nice looking with 3 mature pitchers oh btw, I subbed.

  • i just have a venus fly but i want a pitcher and a carnivores terrarium

  • Sounds cool! To be honist with you most carnivorous plants don't need a terrarium, but do some research for good candidates such as some lowland nepenthes. Good luck!
