  • thanks m8

  • awesome vid dude, for some reason when i drap the file into vegas and preview it its really choppy. but if i play it in WMP classic its not choppy.

  • My Clips Lag when i put them in Sony Vegas, making editting impossible, help me please bro!

  • @TheFinestof08 its prob your rig, your pc cant handle files that big, try and upgrade the RAM

  • @TheFinestof08 Record as a M2TS, which is the Playstation 3 setting.

  • POOPY!!!!!!!!!!!!@#$%^&*()

  • Awesome video Brad, but I'm gonna stick to my PVR settings for now. My computer is too shitty add CC to the video. Great video though none the less. :)

  • You win the award for most badass wallpaper. Congratulations.

  • sweet vid just one thing i have an xbox 360 and i want to know how to record a vid and upload it

  • I thought if you render it as an mpeg file it takes up less space and doesn't affect the quality too much, correct me if I'm wrong

  • Ever hear of NewBlue for Sony Vegas? THAT gives amazing amazing quality to the PVR 1212. I use NewBlue and the quality is probably the best :P

  • You can seriously lower the bit rate. I render at around 6,400,000. The quality still looks great and the file size is nearly cut in half. Also, why not use constant bit rate? You're using variable with the same bps on both, that seems pretty constant.

About the audio, i read an FAQ on YT saying THEY prefer a sample rate of 41,000 Hz. The actual bit rate does increase file size, just don't lower it too much, 128 - 192 is fine.

Last thing, render at 30fps, this also cuts the file size in half.

  • This looks familiar <3

  • @theRadBrad BTW Brad, the part about not being able to edit the MP4 file from Total Media Extreme using the Xbox settings is untrue. I'm able to edit and render perfectly with it. Sorry I'm being a bit harsh :3

  • Careful, this video might get removed like Thunder Toro's.

  • You have an average of 14000 (kbps) and a max of 14000. When the average is the same as the max, then logically it should be just like doing a 14000 constant.

  • You should put an example of the setting at the end.

  • @Razarexx

Just watch any of my latest videos for the example. :)

  • @theRadBrad Thanks for accepting my vid response man!

  • @dhoop17

No problem dude anything I can do to help out.

  • Yeah, I use the ps3 settings too...took me like 4 hours to figure that out when I first got it. :(

  • MAC ftw son

  • @tetraninja once you get a Mac, you never go back.

  • @TheOverBest Darn you!

  • You're awesome, Brad! P.S. I typed this with my hand in my pants!

  • Thanks Brad!!

  • You record in 14mbps?

Jesus you must have a large HDD.

I use Vegas Pro 9.0, and MP4 formats refuse to save, it gives a "not enough memory" error, this is complete bullshit as I'm running a P8600 2.4 X2 with 4GB DDR2 on W7 Ultimate. Anyone else having this problem?

  • @oXxHellfirexXo sometimes i got that problem too.. with your amount of RAM that Definitely should work... How i fix it was easy, just re-installed vegas... or I used other settings...

  • @TheLiverpoolZone

    Hmmm ok, i'll try.

  • @oXxHellfirexXo

I have a little over 1TB. I have 8 gigs of ram and while my computer isn't the fastest it does the job.

  • @theRadBrad

    8GB of RAM? why?...

  • What type of file sizes do they end up as?

    Nice video

  • @50huz

It usually is about 100MB for each minute. So a 5 minute gameplay is about 500MB. My Dead Rising 2 files that were about 15 minutes long were actually about 1.3GB.

  • @theRadBrad lol i had a 15 min video recorded with fraps.. the filesize was 45GB

  • hey man how cum wen i use sony vegas wen my gameplay is shooting its like 5 seconds behind the gameplay on the screen what do i need to do?

  • @ThatDudeWhoRushes its just the preview but wen u render its normal

  • @ThatDudeWhoRushes hehe... you said cum.

  • @TheEpicMelon i know whats wrong with that

  • Thanks for the tutorial it helped alot man!

  • where did you get that background from??

  • didnt tejb do a video similar to this?
