Many of Sea World's animals are born there, and others are animals that are rescued. That being said, they are still wild, so why is blame being put on the whale. If he was agitated the show before, they should have had a replacement, or just not performed the part of the show he was in. I don't understand why he was still working with people, when he had killed before. He should have just been in a rescue area, where they taught people about whales' habitat, etc. Clearly, her hair triggered him

My thing is, I realize other reports said that Tilikum had killed before (once in Canada and the other when an indiot jumped into the pool after hours). Regardless if these beautiful God-made creatures are trained or not, they are still animals with wild instincts. I can train my dogs, but it doesn't mean they will always obey. They are still creatures with instincts, like any other. Knowing he had killed before, why was he allowed to do shows?

Some reasons why I think Sea World is fine (other then this incident.... but it was just a accident)

1. If Killer Whales were sick, they would just die in the ocean.

2. Killer Whales have to hunt for food, while Sea World gives them food directly, and hunting for food isn't as easy as you think!

3. You do know that Sea World can't make a HUGE tank and put plants and animals in it, right?

4. If the whale hated doing the shows, why is he doing the shows?

Dogs are domesticated creatures, whales are not. Dogs have been domesticated over hundreds of thousands of years - whales are generally brought in from the wild, or are bred in captivity. Either way, it's cruel to keep such a large animal in a cage - a dog can be excersised in a park. Idiot.
