i was there loved the show came back from my holiday june 26th to the uk my cosins husband dr brian hertwig st thomas he was taking lots of photos to!
Great video of a wonderful day. Next year the lessons learned here will be implemented nd it will run more smoothly. Maybe the FW190 will make it and perhaps the Me262's, which might help satisfy the jet crowd. Although the flypast by the F117's and the B2's should have kept them happy, but no one seemed to notice it!
@stormbringerII I'm afraid the only thing that will satisfy the jet crowd are...Jets. A few jets would be nice. Personally, I'd love to see a few older vintage jets fly. An ME 262 would be fantastic, as would some vintage 40's and 50's jets. Perhaps a Shooting Star or two, a Vampire would be great (I haven't seen one fly since the '64 Air Show), and are there any F-86's still in the air? From a Cdn. Heritage point of view, I wish someone would get a CF-100 back in the air. Static isn't the same.
Wonderful Planes. I admire the American P-51B Mustang with its Rolls Merlin English engine. It was a successful combination that helped tremendously in shortening the war and saved a lot of lives for the Allied side.
About 14,000 people came out on Saturday! A whole lot more than was expected apparently which accounts for some of the long delays. My wife and I put in 26 hours over the 2 days of the airshow and our "working day" started at 6:00AM at the museum.
Next year's show promises to be even bigger and better so come early for a good view and less delays.
@BigLisaFan I had the feeling that things were a bit busier than expected. It's been ten years since the big Air-shows, and I imagine that the CWH people were a bit out of practice at staging such a large event. A little tweaking might be necessary for next year. I think a lot of people also missed the more modern aircraft. Still, I love the old Warbirds, so I had a good time.
Still suffering the sun burn, but it was worth every bit of it. I was overwhelmed with my camera. Trying to take as many pictures and videos as possible. They just kept coming so quick i barely had time to get what i wanted. Would have been nice if the fortress's did more then a single pass, i was disappointed in that.
Still, could not have asked for better weather for such an event!

What a line up, one classic after another; I wonder if they tried to dig up the body of Winston Churchill for this too?
