I've DJ'd since 1988 & mix at home these days. I'm looking for an entry level controller for Traktor Pro. I had a VCM-100 & liked the long tempo fader & pitch bend buttons. I mix new & old music of various genres. 70s Funk and Classic Rock tracks don't keep a steady beat & require constant tempo adjustment when beat-matching. The entry level controllers out now have small distance for tempo faders. Will a Vestax Typhoon work for a DJ like me?
They needed to put some little vertical joystick switch things at the center point just inside next to the pitch faders for pitch bend. Move the rest of the buttons in a touch to make room for it. And simple channel assignment switches for A/B and C/D. Otherwise that is a potentially kick-ass rotary mixer for manual computer djing. Forget the "just beginning to explore" shtick. Leave that to the losers with interfaces entirely made up of buttons for automixing.
Timecode vinyl if your not using Traktor or if you are using Traktor you can route any regular audio though one of the internal Traktor decks to be able to apply any of Traktors effects to audio.
You could even connect up an synth and a sampler if you were that way inclined.
Yeah this is worrying, thinking of purchasing this but after reading a decent comment such as this (where it's not only the positives) - where in a club or louder rig environment I'd really get stressed and struggle - I'm thinking of an alternative. Prob the VCI-100 and the Audio 8 but sheesh... this is all starting to get way more expensive that I can afford. But I'd rather wait and do it right.
hey which do u think is better the vestax vci-100 or this vcm 100 im looking to buy a midi controller but idk what to buy!! and another this is this vcm light and portable to take to gigs

Oh and vertical pitch bend joysticks could also double for track scanning and setting the cue in.

really helpful video, i'm thinking of getting one of these, bit of a step down from my 1210s but times are hard and i don't have any money!
If you had CDJs plugged into the line inputs would the EQ and gain controls work like on an analogue mixer?
