  • Considering that this is a high school, and this performance was in the top twelve at grand nationals, I would say they did just fine. Try playing this material while doing what they are doing visually. And at the end of the day this was nearly 20 years ago. Get over yourself.

  • @bluehominid123 - I think that's a bit oversimplification. Any scholastic level group is going to have excellence issues. What you're not taking into account is the simultaneous responsibilities they have while performing, versus sitting and playing. The performers are 13-18 years old and have about 12 weeks to learn and perfect a show...

  • Not bad but the marching was better than the musicianship by far. Pitch problems very noticeable. Tuning up is so important. Seems like marching bands don't spend much time on techniques that build a mature sound on each wind instrument. They just work on the songs so the performers never really master tone quality and pitch. They sound like beginners that can only play a lot of notes. I think with all the music available better charts could've been found to compliment this band. Tpt solo bad.
