  • i was just loook ing for how i should cut my dogs hair.......

  • If you knew how much damage back brushing does to any hair, you wouldnt do it. Poor dog must have hair a headache after all of that. If youv every had to brush out a beehive you'd understand it just causes massive knotting.

  • Hhahah too cute snooki poof loved it

  • Get over yourselves, the dog isn't squirming, he even falls asleep! He's obviously not in pain and is quite comfortable. Yes, it is a lot of work, but that is because this is for competition, not just lounging around the house.

  • i'm from Brazil and i can't find your products =(

  • If i hate all of those things, i can imagine a dog that cant talk....

  • poor dog :(

  • i have a female yorkie who loves to be groomed bathed ect but i want long flowy hair ive been growing out ehr hair for a few years with regular bathing and brushing ect also with top of the line 80 dollar food but her hair just isnt getting longer so it seems any tips???

  • omg people i cant believe u! if this type of hair style isnt for you then y in the world are u watching this? btw i loved this and cant wait to try it on my yorkie when he has longer fur. he just loves laying there and getting his fur brushed and styled

  • my yorkie HATES being brushed, is it normal ?

  • what kind of rubber bands do u use i really love the way u do the top knot it looks really good

  • Gorgeous dog but that 'bubble' on top with the bow is just ridiculous. I love all 4 of my Yorkies but I just can't see the point in spending that much time on grooming them like that when I give my pups tons of love and affection everyday. Even if this is for a competition I still find this ridiculous.

  • How do you make your dog stand still? Mine moves around during the bath and drying process...it drives me crazy

  • dude you are being way to rough with that yorkie.

  • That dog has a Snooki Pouf.

  • she looks like shes having a massage almost falling asleep wish mine would stay still she see brush and lightening hits the house she disappears

  • All those rubber bands don't break her hair?

  • I have a long hair yorkie that resembles the dog in the video. When I brush her and blow dry her she just lays there, she actually starts to fall asleep. The bath part...a whole different story. She hates water in her face. I think the yorkie in this video is a show dog and is just use to this type of maintance.

  • TOO MUCH HAIR TEASING GEEZ! LOl :p

  • Great video!! My yorkie is 1yr old, I have been letting her hair grow long nor for a competition just because I like the way it looks!!!

Rángatni, tépni a szőrét, tupírozni szerencsétlen!

  • Yes I think this grooming is too much! I have owned groomed my Yorkie's for over 30 years. I would never consider getting that aggressive over a top knot...Sorry just not for me :(

  • this guy sure love dogs. And the doggie seems to enjoy it too. I so want to be that dog <3

  • stop saying "he must be miserable" or other bs like that... if you want to see a miserable dog go online or rescue a dog then you will see one.

  • What a perfect little client you have there! He is absolutely beautiful and you do a fantastic job! Thanks for sharing!

  • Way over the top but fantastic result

Bless hav'nt these dogs come along way since the mines ? :)

  • I loved watching your video - you are awesome!

  • this dog is sad...:(

  • all these cosmetics... it's so not right

  • poor dog

  • I can not believe some of rude comments!! It's more cruel NOT to trim their eyes!!!! @ all the negative comments, makes me wonder if you are all fit to own a dog!! If the yorkie was hurt in anyway I sure he would have been bitten! Grooming is a art!! This guy is so amazing!!! I would delete all the negative comments!!!

  • Beautiful dog! You obviously are very good at and love what you are doing!

  • OMG. I hated the music.

  • OMG!! I was waiting for this poor lil dog to lose an eye or get its ear cut off. The top knot was another PAINFUL thing to watch!! The back combing in the top knot to form the base was WAY TOO ROUGH!! Poor lil dog ..... I would need a pillow as well >>> from the headache the lil thing probably has after this torture ....but geez thanks for sharin:0#

  • Thanks for the comments. We all know there are plenty of dogs that get no love attention or pampering. So I agree let's save our feelings for those poor neglected animals and just respect the right of others to be able to enjoy taking care of their animals :) It certainly is better to care too much than too little :0)

  • @PurePawsInc that's exactly right!

  • Normally a dog who is a pet doesn't need to go through that type of extensive grooming. those that are in pet shows do. If they were unhappy or being hurt , the animal would be aggressive and would not sit there calmly. This can be a time for the owner and dog to bond and spend time together. Some dogs are kept in the backyard and never touched , and some children are given the same treatment when entered in pageants or pushed to practice for hours for sports,

  • Perhaps you should visit a dog show and meet some of the handlers, owners and breeders and I am sure you would feel differently. They probably spend 3/4 more time with their pet than the average pet owner and you will find that their dogs are carefully cared for and absolutely happy with extreme pampering. The entire procedure probably took 1.5 hours, a lot less time than the avg pet spends at the groomers shop. Thx for your comments.

  • I don't really think the dog has a choice as to whether he enjoys it or not. I have a yorkie and he's a very good boy for his baths and blowdry, but this is totally extreme. Poor baby.

  • @bells1973 This is grooming a yorkie for a dog show, very different then an everyday grooming.

  • wouldn't it be nice if we weren't so bothered about small things that really don't effect us personally :) We all have different ways of sharing time with our pets. What may be nonsense to one is not to another. In the spirit of competition traditional conformation standards have been around for many years. One might disagree with you about tying up their hair as they do look awfully well cared for & no chance of having irritated eyes which is a serious problem for many pet yorkies

  • I have a beautiful Yorkie that has lovely long hair but I would never subject it to this type of treatment. MY dog does not need a "bubble" on it's head that requires an hour and tons of hair gunk to make it stay there. What nonsense. What humans will do to an animal for their own vanity.

  • Where's the rest of the cut. I looked around and can't find a part II.

  • Stupid human!!!!!'

  • All this just for a dog? I love my pets and want them to look good, but this is not love, this is torture.

  • i felt like crying while watching this video. i know how much teasing and hair spray SUCKS. it gets itchy and i hate wearing it. i could not imagine a dog going through this every day or every show .. poor dog.

  • Poor dog!!!! That's a dog and not a toy!!! He is way too rough with her!

  • OK never again will I complain at having to get up at 4:30am the day of a show to groom my Persian Cats ready after seeing the grooming a Yorkie takes. It definitely transcends grooming and is more like a work of art.

  • Why do ppl keep saying that it's too much on the dog! The dog is not in any discomfort or seem to be miserable. Leave this man alone. He is doing a wonderful job. If the dog was stressed or miserable it would be snapping . So let the man do his job and enjoy the video. #stophating

  • could you be my hairdresser? ;D

  • okay. this dog is really going to attack u i woud if i was that dog.....ur pulling the hair to much and its gonna make the dog get a major headache. and this dog is not a person

  • @jazyvette You are right, this dog is not a human. So stop thinking of it like a human. This dog is LOVING this grooming session! Dogs that are uncomfortable, fearful, irritated, ect. do not lay PEACEFULLY!!! This dog is totally relaxed. These dog love to be pampered and strut their stuff! If you had half a brain and any understanding of dogs you would be able to see this. I bet you support political agenda, brain washing oganizations like PETA and HSUS, too.

  • I would never put my yorkie cavalier doggie under this looong procedure. It is 20 minutes after editing, so how long must it take in real time?? I was unable to see the dog under all that grooming. Was he under pils or tired to death - not protesting at all?? Also - in 1st video - water poured in dogs face.. chemicals on hair, face pulled up and down, not single treat was given.. What a sad life this small doggie has

  • evill little man >:o GRRRRRR! be niceee! im not taking my doggie to u >:O imaaa slap u im calling peta on u!!!!

  • this is ridiculous, this poor dog has to go through all this hair pulling & what not, i hope this dog bites you to teach you not to torture dogs!

  • @PurePawsInc

Do you guys sell the hair dye?

Because my yorkie is turning 7 months in August and I will not like the gray on her, also how many times will I have to put it in her hair?

  • I'm sorry, but that dog is sedated! BIG time! I am a dog groomer and most of my clients are Yorkies! They are an adorable breed, but high strung! No way that dog is relaxed naturally!

  • @beccachelle1 are u really dog grooming?? because im a dog grooming and it is possible the dog relax on his grooming, if you know how to do,,, and the dog is use to groom,,,

  • @beccachelle1 Oh ya it is sedated!!! That poor lil dog is in misery. Let us fix YOUR HAIR MISTER!! I am a cosmetologist and if I back combed a humans hair like that ....they would probably lay me out and NEVER come back. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to rough!!! I guess if you cant talk you must endure. That pillow isn't because this lil dog is having a SPA DAY ......It's because it can't hold it's own head up. SHAME ON YOU!! I hope you got paid well.

  • i was thinking about showing a long hair dog this clip change my mind big time!!!lol

  • i dont like to see the comb so close to the eyes, its dangerous!!!

  • Honestly poor dog.

  • you´re terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's just ridiculous... -.- AND SO IS THE SAME REPEATING MUSIC. >:(

  • i would be so scared to cut that closely to the ears and eyes!

  • lemme guess the dogs name is peanut

  • Pobre animalito!! Y donde estan sus derechos?

  • How does the dog stay still for so long?

  • @OXPuppylover25OX Ask someone to massage you, see if you don't relax. Warm water, gentle brushing warm blowing hair---wa-lah---you fall asleep! Doggies love it!

  • @OXPuppylover25OX the dog becomes relaxed when bathed in warm water, brushed gently with warm blowing air. You have been to the beautician's and experienced this relaxation I am sure

  • @OXPuppylover25OX generally dogs stay still until their grooming session is complete. It generally takes less than 30 minutes for a yorkie to be wrapped. And those groomers that do it often can wrap in less than 15 minutes.

  • @PurePawsInc Doesnt it hurt the dog?

  • omg thank you so much for sharing this video on youtube i have a yorkie too now i can groom him on my own my dog sit so good when hes getting groomed its all ion the way u handle the dog him ur pulling at the hair and hitting hte dog when it want sit right of course he want sit still bc hes trying to get away your dog looks beautiful

  • @FabolousChrisshonda your dog will behave as well once it learns that you are not going to harm it. It is kind of like when you first go to the dr or dentist and don't know what to expect you feel nervous. once you realize you are OK you become calm and especially petting the dog during baths makes them comfortable

  • Your are so skilled, and can i just say to ignorant people out there... Example cooljohn9. I bet you've never owned a yorkshire terrier before, obviously not because with your pathetic insults towards this man--"go brush your hairy wife", just goes to show how low class and just how disgusting people like you are. First of all if you want to insult another work on your grammer skills, know your facts and learn to correctly debate something. For a yorkie long hair isnt bothersome. Their coats fe

  • @XoMariloves thanks for helping to inform pet owners that grooming is a necessity for the animals that live in our homes. What truly is cruel is to neglect to care for them.

  • poor dog looks like its in pain

  • @ladygaga1272 Imagine the pain Lady GAGA must go through to get that look!! Not feeling so sorry for the dog anymore, eh?

  • I guess I was lucky my babygirl is a natural beauty I dont think she would stand or sit for this. She is a stuck up Bitch and she knows she pretty. No one took the time to train her and I recused her at 2 yrs she now 5 yrs. I would put her up to any of those show dogs any day now ............... Your dog is beautiful to.

  • @mayatini Thank you & I am sure your babe is a natural beauty! Our videos are designed to help owners learn to make all their dogs natural beauties by simply keeping them clean and neat. There are many people in the world who wish to exhibit their dogs competitively so we explain both methods. Select what is useful to you and what you don't need --- don't do. Thanks again for your comments!

  • you all need to stf up and think about what your saying before you speak. Yorkies LOVE attention!! they are attention cravers. They are perfessionals and would never do anything or put anything on the dog to harm them. my yorkie loves attention.. hes clearly sleeping , it obviously does not bother the dog and enjoys being pampared.... all yorkies do i have one my grandmother has one and so does my mother they all LOVE IT. without it they would be depressed.

  • @Felecia89 :)

  • im doing showing with my baby soon and this has helpped alot but i dont think hairspray is nessesary :L

  • @zeebee1220 you will when your beautiful hairdo blows everywhere and you don't win trust us hairspray is necessary in this breed.

  • thats too much for money, we can deal with teasing but for a dog is too much, i have a yorkie and i would never make my bby throught all that

  • @erikarebelde body massages are a dog's best friend, too bad for your dog--they love to be handled.

  • Thank you for your nice compliments and we hope that we are helping everyone to succeed with their show dogs and all others with yorkies at home to look like show dogs :)

  • Thank you for the video!!! Your way was s clear and the dog is gorgeous! Good Luck to you and all of your future shows!

  • thanks SnakeCharmer07 for understanding that this is natural for the dogs to relax on their own when gently groomed. I understand that sometimes things don't appear to be what they are.

  • Please understand that shampooing and brushing your hair is not cruel, so why would that be the case on a little dog? We love dogs and would never do anything to harm them.

  • cruel this is not natural putting all these chemicals on the poor litte dog, and pulling on its hair.

  • i wonder if you sedated this dog to yank it's hair for so long. poor thing.

  • @SnakeCharmer07

Get someone to massage your scalp with a brush gently, bet you fall asleep too :)

  • @PurePawsInc teasing isn't a great feeling though. it's too much pulling and tugging going on.

BUT if you say it's gentle, then ok.

It just happens to look like there's lots of tugging on the video.

  • This dog is so quit, my York is so terrible.... rsrsrsrs

  • was this dog drugged? my yorkie would never stay that still which is probably they just shave him when he goes to the groomers.

  • does it mat the hair when you tease it

  • @dejamonae0309

yes, you must brush it out gently---using a finishing spray not dry

  • lol the dog has a minature poof

  • Why don't they talk and tell you what they are doing???

  • I was wondering where you got the beatiful pillow. Do your remember where you got it? Thanks

  • @MissNewYork414

go online and look for grooming pillows. they sell them at large dog shows. If you are attending westminster this year you should be able to get them there.

  • This dog looks miserable. His owner is probably thrilled. anyone see the irony in this?

  • where can i find a bow like that? how did you put the hair behind to make the fan 7:45?

  • you are bing waaaaay to rough ! you have to remembr you are way much stronger than that little yorkie . i would never bring my dog to you ! UHHH !

  • fagyll!!!

  • Great video I leaned a few new tips Love Pure Paws too !!!

  • the dog looks miserable. thats too much on the dog.

  • @sporty20gurl20 dog looks realxed and it is a little to much but the dog seems to like it.

  • Do yourkies like this

  • POOR DOG!!!!!! Terrible Video!!!

  • do they say from start to finish how long this takes?????

  • poor dog this is to much with the hair he has me tired already.

  • @valentina3315 no he is realaxing. Who doesnt like being pampered like that.

  • @valentina3315 yeah that is because he is relaxed! ;-)

  • i feel sorry for the dog :(

  • wow.. now that i see how the dog's hair is fixed.. it not so cute anymore.. i can't stop staring at the "bubble".

  • OMG! YOu are AMAZING!!!!

  • cute!!!!!

  • it stays so still..can u imagine how many times he s been thru all of that?? poor lil guy

  • That back combing looks kind of sad.. :(

I have a yorkie pup.. but he doesn't sit still when bathing

  • I needed to learn from a master...I keep on trying, not so good yet, but with your video I will do well with my Yorkshire grooming. Thank you again.

  • Absolutely fantastic workmanship...I watched this craftsman over and over...thank you.

  • ur just humilating ur dog by putting all those accesories on people like u make me sick. u think ur dog wants its hair long like that it husts when u comb it like that u ass if u want to do that to a poor animal do it to ur harry wife not that inocent dog screw ppl like u everywhere see the way it shuts its eyes when u pull on its hair?

    u shuld be ashamed

  • your an ignorant ass. this dog is probably work $4,000 or more. The last things its owners want to do is hurt the dog. I doubt it hurts when they comb the hair considering the hair is not matted, dose it hurt when you comb your hair. If the dog didn't like what he's doing or was in pain it would be crying out. The dog is almost falling asleep its so relaxed, they even got the dog a pillow to rest its head on to make sure its comfortable.

  • u kno wht how the fck would tht fckin pilloy help at all???its hair is being overwieghted by the accesories on it u fcktard u need to look the fck carefully n axamine b4 u tell me im wrond hoe

  • Wow, can you do my hair? lol

  • Haha : )

  • Amazing video I want to purchase a Yorkie soon and this video was great for grooming help. I would like to know what kind of flat iron is best for a Yorkie and how long will it take for the coat to grow that long?

  • such a good doggie,my dog doesn't stay still LOL

  • Where can I find the pillow you have on Mariposa?

I use a rolled up towel (I have two yorkies, both puppies) and I'm trying to learn to do a top knot.

  • The pillows I we purchased in New York from a vendor at the Yorkshire Terrier specialty. You may have to look online and see if you can find them.

  • Great videos. All of your tricks work out even for beginners so far. Maybe you can make a better video instruction of how to wrap the coat of a yorkie (something not with stills but real film)?

One more question: How do you get the dog to stay so calm and stand still. Mine tries to revolt all the time so it is double as hard to work on her.

  • We will hopefully have a wrapping video out soon.

On your question about training the dog keep in mind that making the experience fun is key to getting your dog to cooperate. Give them treats and lots of love when he/she does good and lots of praise. A subtle "no mama or no sir" will be enough on behavior that is not wanted.

  • I will see what we can do about getting a video of wrapping up. I think that would be nice as well.

Making wrapping a fun time is number one with the dogs. I usually give them treats to reward them when the do good on the table and watch TV with them while we are wrapping.

Once we are done then they get to run and play with me the rest of the afternoon :-)

  • zut, les noeux apres...

  • how long does it usually take to build the base?

  • Just a couple of minutes

  • Thank you so much!

  • I can't believe she fell asleep there for a little bit while you were fixing her knot. I wish my biewer was so easy going. I love all your videos. I learned a lot.

  • did ya tape mariposas ears????

  • Can I use human hair product on my dog?

  • yes, but it has to have not alcohol ;}

  • Hi, i would like know what is the name of the black and white comb, please :)

    The video is amazing.

  • I wish I could learn how to do that. Or even better, I wish my baby would sit that still for that to be done to her! Mariposa looks like she is a joy to work with!

  • Mariposa has always been very laid back and loves the attention!!!

  • that dog is an angel

  • We love her very much ... her name is Mariposa

  • fantastic

  • We appreciate your feedback!

  • Excellent!

  • Thank You!
