Failed due to no promotion? No...the problem is, that the animation is horrible, the designs are dreadful, the textures are outdated by a decade, there's not an original moment in the story (from what I've seen so far) and it's made by someone with zero training, experience, or understanding for film making. 40 mill. and a dream is not enough, to make a good movie. If anything, they should be glad that no-one have seen it. At least that might give them a second chance, after some film schooling.
