what gear are u using like wt pound test hook size reel rod size all that stuff cuz i cot a rock fish today and i reeled it up but it got snagged so i had to climb down and try to free the snag but the fish fell off T__T

Rockfish are rockfish, stripers aren't rockfish

rockfish is just a nickname to the east coast for striper.

No they are not the same as stonefish. These are rockfish species found in the Pacific Northwest. They generally inhabit in kelp forests.
