I suport the ideas of the TVP but, if the people dont have lets say any spiritual education about how to work in comunity, no system will ever work, even a resource based economy, if the minority of people that have knowledge, dont have the best interesting for humankind, them they will soon go back to the old system, the truth is that if people, dont have a true conection with the planet as a whole, and keep living in fear, i say for sure, the old system will be back like a terminator.

Spirituality is not needed, but the people would still be perfectly able to be spiritual if they want to be. That has nothing to do with a social system working. Superstition has harmed society more than almost anything else in our history. Besides, understand science and knowing why everything works the way it does... well, it kind of creates a sense of equilibrium.

@mbonter1 As for the computer programming, YOU could go contribute to it's information if you wanted to all it does if evenly distrubte resources and let us know if a certain idea woulden't coincide with the planets reproduction time scale based on the amount of known resources we have, currently. I still see some issues that would require a certain amount of control, who would be in control is the question. And I agree with another poster, that it would take a generation or two to effectively transition. Basically, there will be no menial labor task left for humans to do, except for the occasional malfunction that can't be auto repaired. The best thing to do would be to watch more of the videos, and maybe check out thevenusproject. com for the detailed info. People would basically be able to gain as much of an education as they want, and focus on scientific research, design of new technologies, cultural arts, and spending time with people they care about. Just because you don't have to work constantly to survive, doesn't mean you'll die of boredom.

@LordSitri You are correct, in fact it would be the exact opposite. When anyone thinks back to there most memorable time in life, most would agree that it was when they were a child. There are no responsibilities more than keeping your room clean and a few house chores. You spend most of your free time socializing with your family and friends and doing art and learning culture. It's the time in your life where you are most active and creative. Imagine having that motivation never go away!

Technology has been growing at an astonishing rate, and in fact has been doubling every few years. It's hard to imagine that computers only started existing 20-30 years ago. Mass produced Automobiles are COMPLETELY built with robots. Why would this trend of robots replacing humans stop now? All basic tasks WILL be automated and replace humans, it's a fact. What jobs will be left when that happens? The only solution is to take out the money entirely.

I've watched the cities of the future. First it does support clustering in controlled environments. I'm in real estate so my first thought was...well who gets those nice single family homes along the river while others have to live in the condo highrises? Who determines that?
