I agree. I had dared to sing the song during my college days, had to reduce the pace a bit. Had to switch to newer version which lata didi had sung in 'Aye mere watan ke logo'. Very difficult to have a control on the breath. Lata didi is a maestro when it comes to controlling breath in the songs.
Bankim Ch chatterjee wrote this story ANANDAMATH 1875 on Sanyasi revolution 1840 and he called for a Hindu country from the hands of YABANS ie invader SULATNS and Turkish kings.Later he wrote DEVI CHOWDHURANI in which he attacked BRITISH.

When India is about to gain independence painfully by tearing one of her hand, the British people triggered the musalmans to look into the meaning of the song selected as National Anthem. You muslims, your national anthem says to worship your mother land, and that is against Quran. And they agitated. Indian leaders at that time were ready for anything for the muslim claims just to avoid the partition, and this National Anthem is one among them.

Thats a good point rajkiran. I don't think we want the entire Pakistan. We just want our Punjab and Sindh which have always been a part of India. NWFP can join Afganistan and Baluch province can become a separate country or join Iran. And its ok we'll take care of terrorists in Pakistan for good. I wouldn't worry about them.

Unfortunately, the majority of the 800+ million "Hindus" in India are pariahs and consequently anti-Hindu! This is the primary reason that the Hindu civilization is shrinking and is assaulted with impunity by the very government that is supposed to protect its citizens! What little is left of Hindu Dharma has been protected, preserved, and has continued thus far is due to the Brahmins and the other three Varnas. They, don't vote and are indifferent to the current predicament Hindus are in!

The lyrics are important to many of us. There are those that are murdering the lyrics and passing off some trash as vande mathram song. The deceit is sickening.

Thanks to people like Patel, our home State Hyderabad, which was ruled by just 4% against the majority 96%.; is today in our Motherland Hindusthan. This must be our battlecry of the future, not to attack people, but to make ourselves strong in science, technology, defence and education. Bande Mataram! This great song dedicated to our beloved Motherland, Bharat Mata. Who loves his/her motherland should respect and sing this song. Our Motherland is the mother of all her sons irrespective of their religions. Even people of foreign origins, who choose to settle in India like Sister Nivedita, Great Mother of Pondicherry etc. respected this song. Everybody should love and respect this song and sing it regularly.

Important reasons for divisions are these:
(1) i-slamic exclusivism. Most muslims especially in the area that makes India today supported the division.
(2) Influential sections in Britain supported India's division.
(3) Lack of Statesmanship among Indian Politicians (In a similar situation Lincoln opted for Civil war. Indian leaders' i-slam appeasement thinking resulted in genocide and ethnic cleansing of Hindus. Our short sighted politicians have still not learn their lessons).

I agree. I had dared to sing the song during my college days, had to reduce the pace a bit. Had to switch to newer version which lata didi had sung in 'Aye mere watan ke logo'. Very difficult to have a control on the breath. Lata didi is a maestro when it comes to controlling breath in the songs.

Bankim Ch chatterjee wrote this story ANANDAMATH 1875 on Sanyasi revolution 1840 and he called for a Hindu country from the hands of YABANS ie invader SULATNS and Turkish kings.Later he wrote DEVI CHOWDHURANI in which he attacked BRITISH.
The song was written long ago by him and he included this in the Novel.Bankim being deeply inspired by French revolution and french literature wrote many such novels following Alexandar Dumas style.

Oh GOD, we Indians who loved "vandE maatharam" like any thing had to give some no-one-needed "National Song" status for that song.
Whenever I hear the "Sri Lankan National Anthem" which says "Sri Lanka Maathaa ... namO namO maathaa ...", tears will come from my eyes, not because of any affection towards "Sri Lanka", but because we missed one such similar song to be as our India's National Anthem.

When India is about to gain independence painfully by tearing one of her hand, the British people triggered the musalmans to look into the meaning of the song selected as National Anthem. You muslims, your national anthem says to worship your mother land, and that is against Quran. And they agitated. Indian leaders at that time were ready for anything for the muslim claims just to avoid the partition, and this National Anthem is one among them.

It is naive to blame the British for islamist exclusivism. The fact is 'Jana Gana Mana', a song eulogising King George as 'Bharata Bhagya Vidhata', was finalized by nehruvian congress led constituent assembly in 1950, long after Brits left.
Islamist objection to the song is against depiction of our country in mother's form worthy of adoration. Islamism at its core (quran and sunnath) stress the distinctness of muslims and unwillingness to accept non-muslims and their beliefs as equals.

The Problem is the ideology of Islam, not muslims per se. It is the totalitarian politicial ideology associated with Islamism that needs to be frontally fought and defeated.
Eliminating muslims will be a fascistic solution. Hinduism will never condone fascism or totalitarian apporaches.
Hindutva answer in India is to convert muslims to any of the to the native faith sects - Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism.
