@LilaLove8 TOT is one of my favourrite bands from my youth!!!. It just can't be compared to stupid and shallow EMO's subculture!!! I love "A Rose For The Dead"!!
This just so happens to be one of my favorite songs and bands and great selection of pictures they were all so beautiful. I can only hope that some can come to understand that darkness is a beautiful thing not only a place of complete solitude but also a place of peace. And to the people who criticize us, i hope you take my words of wisdom deep in the bowls of your brain and understand that light does not always represent goodness just as darkness does not always represent evil.
For any thinking this song is from Nightwish .. it is partly their mistake yes .. because not even remotely similar to either of Nightwish's vocalists .. but Limewire and itunes both mistakenly had this song listed under Nightwish for sometime .. probably still is under Limewire somewhere .. but ANY WAY this song is great 5/5 ! ^_^
@1991amor, in this video she does somewhat sound like Anette (Nightwish' new female vocalist). This song was also in my library and I discovered it just recently. As a great Nightwish fan I recognized it wasn't Nightwish inmediatly, but that means it's indeed somewhere on the net as Nightwish - A Rose For The Dead
The goth subculture is a contemporary subculture found in many countries. It began in the United Kingdom during the early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify. Its highly diverse
you are right, but today goth has changed into manny societys, its not the same as it was in 1980s
lets not have this conversation, we all got different thoughs of " what is goth" there isnt anything called " that is goth" its the same as say "That is society" and in my opinion there are differnt societys same as in goth, we are all different, shoose ur way of living, but stop judging ppl by there looks
@theshamanVarg Actually the Goth subculture originated from the visagoths who invaded parts of europe during the ealry ages. From there, 'Goth' was pulled from the word Visagoths, and has been convertered to forms of fashion and dark interests.
@TerrorxwithxMascara It comes from both sources. The music part was stated, and the Gothic architecture came from the visagoths. Because Gothic architecture is mainly dark and elaborate (like the dark, elaborate melancholy, music), people referred to the new melancholy punk offshoot Gothic. Also, Gothic also refers to some literature like Edgar Allan Poe, becaus of it being fantastical melancholy and elaborate.
@theshamanVarg this is true. Because I happen to be what's called a "cyber goth" There are many different types of "goth" and not just one contrary to popular belief.

Goth is a strong admire of black, usualy dress up everything black.. thats what goth is, its an ancient culture witch also is a moddern culture, the goth culture has changed, i rly hate it since it is not changed by will, the fucked UP emos.. done it =_=
i absolutely agree. there is no set definition of goth, and anyone who says "goth is.....", or "goth is not....." needs to reevaluate their understanding of the subculture.
I Agree With All These Good Comments. This is A Very Good Choice Of Pictures. and Theater of Tragedy's Rose For The Dead Song Is Really Good. Love It.
I love this song!
