  • I love paintings and your way of finding humor in what you do. I am a watercolor artist and it really hits home.

  • YOU are cool! Loved this and loved your artistical mess :) I'm starting up again and find this video fun and inspirational - like a lil push over the edge into the creative realm some of us call HOME. It'll be nice to be home again. Thank you!

  • WHAT IS KIND OF SHIT IS THIS , FUCK YOU

  • @55sarajevo nice to see the first english words you discovered were these

  • That's awesome :)

You have great talent ... keep it up

  • Probably the most inspirational art video I have watched, and I have seen at least 100! I've always tried to stop painting because I know no one will really ever want to represent me either. Something pulls me back. I have thought of opening my own gallery as well but I am in an area where there are few wealthy people and more blue collar types, plus I have little money, but thanks for making me feel I can keep painting!

  • Oh, I also wanted to say...don't change the glasses. They're awesome on you.

  • I liked this video very much. I got a good laugh too. You have great communicational skills. And you're right about why people buy paintings lol. Oh well, it's their money. Thanks

  • @letterfromafriend Thanks man.

  • Buying art to match decor doesn't reduce the value of your work.

  • Let's see more of the art. We already like you.

  • i don't know if you will read this but THANKS FOR BEING REAL. I AM AN ARTIST AND I RELATE TOTALLY TO YOU you remind me of me. i would love to chat with you.

  • i like you

  • hey dude - make more vids : D

... and your pieces don't suck

and they don't match my couch but I don't care - still think they're cool.

  • yay! another artist, just as messy as I am... my husband makes me feel like i'm the only one... I too am struggling with people buying my art because it matches the decor. I guess that is just the art business... your video made me laugh, which is a good thing, since I have been dealing with some serious artache. ha! but your work is very inspiring, and I wish you the best of luck, wherever it is your art takes you!

  • yay! another messy artist.... my husband makes me feel like i'm the only one:( I too am struggling with people buying my work because they like to match there walls, but i guess thats the art business... i love your works, and you made me laugh, which is a good thing, since im in an art funk! good luck, wherever art leads you!

  • Yet another one who plays with his materials.

    is it scatological painting ?

And he seems so proud of him... :-D

  • man youre style is awesome.

Rodel here from philippines also an artist:)

love your work thats why i subscribe.:)

  • A peoples artist is probably the best way to call you ? A guy talented and yet self critical without cause, Well done!!! lovely art fresh and vibrant! Dave Ireland

  • yeh

  • this guy is so cool!!!!

  • Hey also enjoyed this video and emerging just today returned to creating further exploration in art. since art school.Hi from Canada.Sadly tthe average person does buy art with any knowledge of collecting and the study, history and expression to get that image. Cheers! Karen

  • This is the second time I've come across your video while viewing the abstract art category. I wish you would do another one showing more of your paintings... I like what I'm able to see on this one. Thanks for your 'DOWN TO EARTH DISCUSSIION" on this subject. I've been scetching for severalo years now, but only recently started painting abstract (in acrylic). Love your stuff man, keep it coming! greetings from L.A. oh, by the way.... I buy my sofa's to match my art!!!

    Vincent

  • I have some stupid guitar stuff on you tube and the responses I get are almost always retarded so I understand that this will be discarded and deleted without care, but your video clip is hilarious. I also paint abstract and describe it as "sucking" also, but I love doing it. And your studio mess is the funniest thing I have seen. Keep it up and good luck.

  • It would be an honor if you checked out my art work I suffer from bi polar disorder and I paint based on what im feeling at the moment , I dont know of you have face book but you can find me by thaliacastaneda Im the one wearing a pink wig... love your art Im a huge fan!!!!

  • creepy stuff!

  • holy shit..i have my painting for sale for 50 bucks and can't sell them, i couldn't imagine tryin to get 300-900 for them.

  • i love your you art :)

  • Your down-to-earth style is really awesome, most painters who sell would not be so hilariously self-deprecating! "I thought people, like, cared? But they don't"

  • This is not to put you down or abstract art, but some buyers....

Buying paintings purely to match your furniture (and nothing else) is part of the downfall of art, sadly. I try really hard not to let myself give up on the type art work I do and take the "easier" abstract route. My plans though in the future does involve opening my own gallery.

  • I thought my studio was messy! Love your technique and color choice.

  • Dude, I like your art, but you need to take a weekend and clean that studio up! ;)

  • bravo complimenti bravo

  • I am like you....abstract artist, unorganized, but I do portaits to have money to buy supplies....I hate that part...maybe I will open a gallery....

  • yep. An artist's life....just flow what else is there.

  • I love your work

  • Yuppy! I have been trying to find you for such a long time. I saw your first video where you showed your studio (basement) and got your sock in paint. I'll subscribe now : ]

  • i really like how ur a down to earth artist!!!! n its exactly wat u said that its not pretentious n ur funny!!!! n ur art i was really impressed with

  • Just learning to paint and until I saw your work I was obsessing about landscapes. Now that seems boring and so far I am not good at landscapes...LOL. I am just going to go paint an abstract that matches my couch! Thanks for the videos.

  • Hey I'm wearing the same socks as you!

And those paintings look pretty badass. This video was really entertaining.

  • Thank you for sharing your work as well as your work place, great paintings !,

    Monica

  • I like the way you think about art. I'm inspired!

  • Nice paintings!

  • What area are you in? Los Angeles? I wanna see you gallery work.

  • The pain all artist have experienced. I sold a canvas in 30 secs. soon as I brought it into the small business. You are so right and you paintings are cool. Art is a messy thing though. They say artist do get recognized until they are long dead! Wow!

  • its true selling paintings is imposiable, putting a price tag on them is just as difficult.

im a design student and have been pain5ting as a hobby for 3 years now and ive only sold 1 painting[ well it was a comision] its was a 6 panel[6 canvas used] in oil it wasw the best piece i did so far and i only got 50 euro for it [$36]

the rest were given away to friends and family

    who proably dont appricate them.

its true people dont want to buy paintings unless it matches their room.

  • Paul, this was really informative. Thanks for being so casual and natural about your art. Do you use housepaint? I found out that people like to get art for free. But if you put a price on it they like it more. I live in a small town. Nobody wants to pay much for original art. Do you have any suggestions about where (besides ebay) I can market my art? I appreciate how you share your knowledge. Thanks!

  • hi there!

I'm from Holland! and i think you're realy cool!

    Keep going!

  • WOW! That's really cool. I recently used oil paints to make a sunset painting. It sold on the first day! I was amazed. I love abstract, and my parents just don't get it. They tell me to paint "Realism." I don't need to paint it because it already exists. Anyways, nice paintings and I would certainly purchase one if my room was not green. Keep it up!

  • well done sir

  • i feel the words. paint itself has a personality and i like that in what i briefly saw.

  • Great :)

  • Sorry mate but ive seen alot better... Do you have any academic backgroud?

  • Paul. Digging your paintings bro. Would love to meet and hang out with you next time I am in NYC. I only wish I could see a large scale painting of yours. Keep up the great work bro and keep experimenting.

    Jeffrey Collins

  • only a painter can understand this incredible feeling of creating a piece of art, call it drawing, sculpture or painting. nice and honest of you and your art, keep it up !

  • great stuff, congratulations ! :D

  • i love your art work! please keep it up! Thanks for sharing. REALLY!

  • Thanks for the non-intimidating air. Pretty neat stuff. Certainly can interpret what you may have been feeling with the personal painting that you did. i wonder about how people will receive my art and you've just helped me along :)

  • He looks like Alber Elbaz! I love the painting!

  • Thanks for posting this. Any and all insight into your processes and /or selling and marketing stories would be great too. I really dig your work.

  • very down to earth and cool. i've been painting for a few years now and have given paintings away, but never sold one. hope springs eternal.

will probably subscribe to your channel, man. good luck to us all.

    VS

  • You are inspirational!! I am a very busy mom to three young kids and I have just started to get interested in painting. I just came across your video and became inspired to really start and not be intimidated and judgemental to myself. Thanx

  • Good work, What kind of paint are you using? The paint in the large cans . . . Thanks

  • Nice paintings!

  • yeah, i'm starting my first abstract in about a week, i'm 15. art and painting is way fun though, and so is making vids. of it. thanks for this!

  • That's awesome. I wish I had the skills to paint, but instead I just sing and do videos. Snooze hehe.

  • great!

  • SOUND ART!!! If you like Experimental electonic and Glitch music, check out my new vids and tell me what you think. Your help is appreciated.

  • oh my goodness, your great! I love your work its awesome, and your funny. I hang my paintings in my room also :)

  • is it ok with you if i draw the red line dot thing on my room wall?its on frame (2:04)

  • your art really is fantastic...every piece is so expressive- please don't be so modest!

  • your fucking awesome.

    And your art rocks.

  • picaso would have worn glasses too, but after cutting off his ear he could never keep them on his head.

  • Van Gogh cut off his ear - not Picasso duhhhhhh.

  • i love you rennetto! XD

  • Very cool.

  • still recording with your laptop?

  • gaynetto is a fucking cower who erase me as a member

his wife is a drug addict looser transexual with her big addam apple of hers and the four poor looser of their kids thank's to gaynetto videos all their classe mate pick on them where is child services no wounder his wife does drugs

  • as a member of what?

  • shut up, ure just mad that ure videos arent as popular

  • I liked a bunch of them. Art is about visual stimulation to me and they match my new lamps and armchair. If they matched the couch I would buy a couple. Why did you take advantage of Nalts, you bully?

Classic. Give those boys a cool statue of some sort for God's sake. YouTube are you listening?

  • WOW Renetto, I didnt know you were an artist! how cool is that? I've been watching you for a while. but knowing that you are an artist, I will now have to subscribe!:-) Love your studio. I'd love to be able to slop paint everywhere like that one day! even step in paint! that would be fun! When I saw that I thought footprint on canvas!

  • Excellent! Thanks for sharing :)

  • they suck really bad

  • Negative dick.

  • i herd theres a real guy named arther fartowski my fren said he seen him on tv.

  • I just want to say thank you for posting this. I have met many new artists from visiting this vlog and I have also learned a lot from these artists. Thanks for a great meeting place for artists! Whodathunkit?

  • Your work is great and your studio is such an "artist's wold". Loved the video.

  • Really? Looks like he fell into a shelf and knocked over some paint cans.

  • Yeah, well it's a painter's world at Home Depot after an earthquake? I used to paint with acrylics and the area where I painted was a disaster, but it was also pefect for creating, just like Renetto's is in this vid.

  • thats wat most art is, its not just soething that looks exctly like wat it is, its a personal representation of the thing ure paintin

  • yes he is an artist, people pay him for paintings, therefore he is an artist. He's found a niche in selling paintings to middle class fakes. Well done.

  • you know what renetto...it's actually kind of hard to paint those...kudos

  • abstract "painting" is bullshit. Only dumbasses get into it. That's right. If you think your abstract paintings are the shit, you're a freaking dumbass. Anyone can throw splatter paint all over the place and make shit about it. "Oh the red here represents my agony and pain as a suffering artist". Yeah shut the fuck up. At least this renetto guy knows that his art is worthless. You idiots should learn too.

  • throwing paint on a canvas is not art, you are not an artist.

  • o and i almost forgot, nice tube sox

  • nice short shorts baldy

  • Now he's a fucken artist, this is bullshit

  • @ufo

he has a life, why dont you fucking stop watching his vids that you assume are crap and get a life for yourself fagggot

  • "When I get in trouble at home" OMG HARDY HARDY HARDY!You are so stupid,I feel bad for your kids!

  • so when you paint are you actualyl trying to paint something ? or just making shapes that someone might by ? Sorry if that sound rude, I just don't get it

  • I like your pantings.

  • yeah one of my friends would say that your paintings sucj and thats not art but i like them.

  • OMG Save the Sock!!

Actually you can use the sock as a brush now.

  • thats very good painting paul you should just go with what you think and how you make your painting and you got some good ideas so that is really good that you like to paint with your throughts

  • Although the smell and clean up for oil paints are awful, the end result is wonderful. It's personally my favorite. So many textures and really super bright colors.. awesome..

    Right on, dude.

  • What's going on???

  • I love to create art

  • Looks like a good outlet...

  • Let me put it like this, your paintings look like you have mistaken pots of paint for alcohol, gotten very ill and there is your painting.

  • "I don't know what I do; I just paint."

    Aint that the way.

  • It's interesting, Renetto alot of the time actually comes up with content (sometimes he is also just reacting to other peoples stuff but it isn't his only contribution to youtube. ), aka, he is up to something, and then alot of other people either just react to his videos or criticize them, which isn't really that interesting. So in other words, all the people who say his videos suck, I just wonder what are they doing that is so great?

  • i ask myself the same thing, i replyedto some guys comment saynin that he was probably just pissed off cus his vids aint as popular XD

  • Its so true, just moved into a new place and will be buying some art. The painting matching the couch will be a factor

  • hi, i love your vblogs so i coming to you for help, i am trying to upload videos and they come up on my account bit but not when you search for it( e.g. when you type in the name) you're paintings are amazing i want one!

  • i think abstract is neat ! i have a friend of mine whos 2 year old can make great abstract art no seriously he actually has art fans and they buy his art its sort of cute :0) nice paintings......

  • How u doin man, hope your well, remember me from UK gathering, anway i absolutely love art and artists which you are , i also checked out your photograghy.. Stay cool Dude:P!!!

  • pretty cool, i could get down with that

  • Abstract art is for people without talent.

  • And generalizations are for people without an open mind. Enjoy your ignorant mind.

  • A lot of artists are crying now.

  • How simple minded you are.

  • lmao, a lot of art is now abstract

there are so many ppl out there who can make realistic pictures, but whats the use? buy a photo. abstract is taking the picture and making it yours

  • hey renetto, i'm from gloucestershire (the shire jrr tolkien loved so much :) uk and i like to paint too, currently in art school blah de blah, anyway keep painting, getting in the zone is all i live for! :)

  • I actually want to buy one of those paintings. I too paint abstract but mostly do realism.

  • Ive always wanted to begin painting myself. What are the ballpark initial start up costs?

  • keep selling renetto! let's make youtube a big marketing/selling machine!

  • well il give it to you,,you try realy hard at what you do and over time it seems you have gained alot of veiws in many fields, its only a shame your shit at all of them.

  • Self-Portrait? But there's hair!

  • voila! my firstttt renetto video response posted!

  • do you have any sort of job?

cause it seems you have way to much

time on your hands, good job anyways

  • dude keep painting plzz, i love them all

  • Abstract art is my favourite because it can mean anything to anyone. When someone looks at a bowl of fruit, that's all they'll see -- a bowl of fruit. But with abstract, it's just blobs and lines and shapes and nothing is ever the same and it all comes from some sort of passion and, most of the time, one never knows how it is going to turn out. It is true art. I would definitely buy something but I haven't got that kind of extra money around right now. Maybe in the future!

  • GROW UP RENETTO. You're over 40 years old. Stop playing to the kids on YouTube.

  • Whats with the shirt man?

  • It's called talentless crap.

  • learn some about art... then talk

  • you shouldn;t have to learn about art to determine if something is good or not. the art should speak for itself. i am an illustrator and have taken many classes about abstract expressionism, and you know what. i still think its bullshit just like mchrichton does

  • you are right, art should speak for itself. As I see it, abstract art is a way of expresing things that probably figurative art cannot use.

Now that i think, i would erase my comment up there, I should just say that if he or you don't get anything from abstract art is your way of seeing things... not the way things are.

  • and painting abstract art is not for untalented idiots, thats why I said "learn". Painting abstract art requires a lot of technique...

And i am not talking about renneto's work here in particular.

  • Jackson Pollock is dead.

  • LOL.

  • I like your paintings. My family buys many orininals from all kinds of artists that they like. The last one we bought in Orlando for 10k. An absolutely gorgeous oil painting...Personally, I like abstrackt art like yours better than realistic ones, so I wish I lived in your area so I could visit your gallery.

Keep up the good work, sometimes art is the truest way to express oneself!

  • Hey Renetto!?

the thing you called a mess at abt 03:00

I thougt it lookes like some kind of art.. if you take a picture of it.. you could do something abt it.

I sure would have done :)

    But I'm weird thouge :P

    XoX

    GL <23

  • The first pic you showed looks like you've taken a shit on canvas.

  • marketing yourself again... what a joke you are.

  • hi renetto, like the energy in your paintings and the mess in the studio is very creative.

  • nice!

  • I've always wanted to paint.
