I think Eagun and Red are the same person. The Orre region events take place in a time with a lot of futuristic looking tech. Eagun used to be "the most powerful trainer", Pikachu was his starter, and he reminds me of God and Chuck Norris combined. All qualities Red has. Maybe he changed his name to Eagun and moved to Agate Villiage to avoid fame and publicity and just live his life and train, like when he gave the title champion to Lance in G/C/S and went to Mt. Silver.

@SuperTyrantDragon I've actually decided not to use the master ball glitch to make the game more challenging for the time being. I may still use it if one shadow pokemon proves difficult.
