Thanks for posting this. Great Philly band that I saw for first time at the Amber Taproom in 81'. Yes, I'm the girl that wore the Valentine sweater at Christmas time, and Richard sang "won't you be my Valentine..." right to me. "God Made Man" was a great tune. WMMR really pulled for you local guys, and I am proud to say that I was there dancing and supporting these bands! Thanks for the great tunes!!!!! I wish you all could all get together for one big reunion of Philly bands.
WoW did not think I would find this! I grew up in Bensalem. I think I just started high school when this song was released. I still have the lp single. We moved to Devon mid 80's I think I saw them or the Hooters live in some bar in Wayne on kiddie night. Good stuff !!!
The A's , Robert Hazard and the Heros, Bricklin, Hooters, Front Street Runners, all WMMR supported local rock acts, trying to break in on the early "New Wave" era of 1979-81' ... problem was , they didn't have the "goods" ( more than 1 song able to crack top 40 National Radio) they got airplay and local followings around Philly/SJ but whenever these local acts went to a major city other than Philly like Los Angeles, New York , Detroit, etc . they didn't draw
The underground under the oakford Inn remember when, cherries and empire rock club, Ah, yes great times The A's awesome good memories wait a minute Gene's on the boulevard too. !!!!!!!
Taking me WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back!!! One of the best bands to ever come out of my glorious hometown!!! What I wouldnt give to have their music to listen to now!
Yo he who once be an A: Who IS gonna save the f-ing world? New Year's Eve reunion? Hurry up b/f we be too brittle to Bristol stomp, too indifferent to see beauty in our brutal youth. I would sell my HOUSE to hear RB sing Insomnia, to see Terry hit 3 octs on his fretless bass,to ogle Mikey's biceps After Last Night,to croon to Bopalina to cheer screaming guitar solo from RD. A's wives, kids rents - our kids & beautiful new teenage jerk-offs swoon with pleasure. All my love xoxox Sandy
