my e51 has a good speacker , i can listen to loud and clear music , but when it rings , although it's set on ringing and not ascending or whatever i can barely hear it and the volume is kinda fluctuating ... any help ?

@FLOYDROCKSSS I think something is wrong with the Nokia E51 cell phone, but if I'm wrong, you can call the mobile on the right edge of the volume control you can adjust how loud you want the alert !

@pm64837 im surfing on this phone rigth now whit wifi, and im prety impressed, im borowing this phone from my brother cause my own cellphone broke down, i tougth this was a crap phone first, but when i took a look it got everything what i need + some more, and the desings is so slim, it got bluethoth,ir,wifi, only minus about this phone that is the buttons are verry close togtether so they are hard to press =) 4/6 on this phone

Have you tried E71 or E75? I have both and rank them higher then E51, but gues it's just a matter of taste. E51 is a good phone none the less.

Ja Ja! I wrote that its an very nice mobile if you use it as business mobile and if you want an multimedia phone is an great choice (for music: 5310 xpress music a nice and slim one or the nokia 6500 slide you're able to watch TV, to make pictures with the carl zeiss cam(3,2 MP) and much more!

It is really good very customizable and has all the features of a N95 but i find the buttons a bit small, i think they've tried to fit too many on and still keep it small.

Also the back does get very hot which is worrying

there's one little problem with this phone, it gets very hot and the back lid is mettalic so you can't hold it in your hand after a long call...

BTW, this lid can be used as a self defense weapon... it has a very sharp edge.

it depends on how you use your phone... the e51 is an awesome business phone and has alot of cool gadgets with the package while the W580i is more fit to entertained if youre looking for desing the w580i is better because the e51 its just ugly(to me i dont know what you think) but at the the end i will recomend the e51 more funtions wi'fi, more applications and softwares but if your looking for a more simple goodlooking phone with good applications then buy the w580i

Ditto that. Bought it on a biz trip to Dubai last year, and absolutely love it.

Had the E61 before (which was fine) but this baby is tiny and really flat out rocks.

Maybe the coolest feature of all for those in the USA is its ability to drive Internet features at high speed off any adjacent LAN WiFi (rather than via your phone carrier company).

At well under $300, it's a steal.

This is indeed the best Nokia smartphone... It isn't as big as the N95, but it has all the good stuff in it... Except for the GPS... I still have the E65, but I've had it with the lag in the menu's, I just can't understand why Nokia makes those slow smartphones :S I'm going for the E51 :D

No, it has 2.5mm port. You have to use audio adapter AD-50 to be able for you to use your personal headset/headphones. As a Nokia E51 user, it has excellent audio, it's almost like a music phone.

N73 or E51??....Trust me the E51 is a much much better than the N73. I used the N73 for 6months and even my 10years old kid is able to tell how slow and sluggish the phone is. Not only that it is sluggish but it off by itself a couple of times. With the E51, I was quite apprehensive about the WFI but after using it for about a week it is FANTASTIC. The scanning for WLAN is good. Surfing is fast. No problem accessing to my home wireless router via WEP. My advise, go for the E51 than the N73.

e51 has wifi while your phone does not. its also symbian so you can have a gba emulator on it. dont judge a phone by its looks, this is a beast in a little package.

alright, alright. the screen is a bit small(2 inches) , but it is quite sharp though (at least the e50 was). This phone, E51, is more of a business phone than media phone. Your phone is fine for what it was intended to do, and this phone is fine for what it was meant to do. sorry, i dont want to flame, but your phone is good for multimedia, e51 is good for business + mass amounts of 3rd party apps. by specifications, e51 has more features. but your phone still may be a good and all

Which battery does it use? According to specs provided by Nokis, it is BP-6MT, whereas according to a link of Nokia Europe, it is BP-4L. Is there a way that BP-4L may fit under e51's battery cover?

good entry level business phone. WiFi, HSDPA & triband along with inbuilt FM radio and 16.7 million color display with business features adds positive vibes to it. A very well done upgraded version of E50 by Nokia.
