Outstanding video's but I have a few questions... 1. If your feeding the farm cats what's hunting the mice and rats at the farms? 2. Wouldn't it be less expensive to use a 22 with short rounds, I think they run about the same FPS as your pellet gun.

I use a gamo hornet. Ammo is gamo rocket. thats .177 cal. your shots are amazing. even if your gun is 1600 bucks. i can hit at 80 meters with range finder. i think .177 has problem with passing through target, without shock. what do you think?

@antvnio A lot of people make this point - "how can you kill a defenseless animal". But, everyone that eats meat eats defenseless animals. The animals that go into your pet's food were defenseless animals. And, if we really want to get technical, the animals I hunt have way better "defenses" than the ones raised in cages. For example, this pigeon had the ability of flight - he flew 130 yards away from me. That would have defended him from most shooters. ;)

@42ripkord PBA ammo is notoriously inaccurate and loses energy very quickly.  There is no way I could make a shot like this with anything but a quality lead pellet.

The pellets you use, are lead right? do you ever worry about lead poisoning? Or residue being fed to the cats?

I've been considering using lead free just to be safe, but from your videos it seems it doesn't matter that much.

@Fallentine I have hunted with lead bullets/pellets/shot my entire life, as did my father and grandfather. Other than making sure to remove the lead from the meat, I have never been concerned. In the case of this gun, the pellets always exit the birds. It does not matter where they are hit, the energy is too great for their bodies to retain the pellet.

@Fallentine 10ug/dl of Pb (lead) or higher is considered toxic to the humane system. As for a feline, I do not know. I don't think the lead in the bird would effect the cat. The lead in the cat's blood steam would be carried to it's kidneys for filtration and excreated. I don't think it would build up lead.

Pellet guns can be as rewarding to own as rimfire rifles. They can be precision instruments made for long term ownership and heavy use. Since they don't use gunpowder they are often allowed or legal in many places rifles are not.
