I've never goten to see the original Kurosawa film, so I don't know what I'm missing. Samurai 7 is great though, in it's own right, and I'm definitely picking this up.
Well, at least this show's animation and character designs are very good, I've never necessarily liked anything else about it but I'm interested enough in seeing its story through to the end, although it doesn't do the Kurosawa film any justice.
